Milwaukee activated Teheran (hip) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Teheran will return to the Brewers in a long-relief role after missing several weeks because of a right hip impingement. He had posted a 4.74 ERA and 44:11 K:BB in 62.2 innings (11 starts) prior to landing on the IL in late July.

Harrison was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday.

Harrison will rejoin the Giants' rotation this weekend against the Dodgers, per Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle, with Alex Cobb (hip) and Keaton Winn (COVID-19) out of commission. The rookie left-hander was more miss than hit during his first stint in the majors but made some delivery tweaks during a recent bullpen session and apparently looked good. Harrison has to be considered an extremely risky stream against the Dodgers in fantasy, however.

Cobb was placed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a left hip impingement.

Cobb has been dealing with a nagging hip issue throughout the second half and it flared up on him during Tuesday's start against the Diamondbacks. He is done for the remainder of the regular season, although the Giants have not ruled out the possibility that he could return for the playoffs, should they qualify. Kyle Harrison will absorb Cobb's rotation spot.

Gore is being shut down for the season Wednesday due to a blister, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Gore was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a blister on a left finger. He had strong stretches of run prevention and strikeouts in his first full MLB season, particularly in the first half of the season. However, Gore's WHIP was too high all season long, with that mark settling at 1.40 -- the 18th worst mark among 79 pitchers who logged 130-plus innings.

Williams' next start is being skipped, but he will make a final start next week, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The weekend rotation for the Nationals in Atlanta will be Jake Irvin, Patrick Corbin, Joan Adon and another to be announced. Williams will either start in a two-game series early next week in Baltimore or next weekend in Atlanta. The 31-year-old has had a rough September. In his three starts, he has allowed 17 earned runs in 10.1 innings.

Ashcraft (toe) had successful surgery Tuesday.

Ashcraft underwent surgery to relieve a stress reaction in his big right toe. He is expected to be fully recovered by spring training. Prior to suffering the injury, the starter was having a solid second half with a 2.81 ERA over 10 starts.

Rom (1-3) took the loss Tuesday, coughing up five runs on six hits and two walks over 3.1 innings as the Cardinals fell 7-3 to the Brewers. He struck out three.

Five of the six hits off the southpaw went for extra bases, including a third-inning solo shot by William Contreras. Rom was coming off his best big-league outing to date last Wednesday when he blanked the Orioles over 5.1 innings, but for the most part the 23-year-old hasn't looked ready for the majors, stumbling to a 6.92 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and 21:15 K:BB through his first 26 MLB innings. Assuming St. Louis doesn't shuffle its rotation in order to evaluate another young arm, Rom lines up to take the mound again this weekend in San Diego.

Rea (6-6) picked up the win in Tuesday's 7-3 victory over the Cardinals, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over 4.2 relief innings. He struck out two.

Working as the bulk reliever behind opener Trevor Megill, Rea entered the game in the second inning with the Brewers down 2-0 and got rewarded for his efforts once the Milwaukee offense got rolling. He tossed 85 pitches (52 strikes) to collect his first big-league win since July 2, but the veteran right seems to be adjusting well to his new role -- over four appearances (two starts, two in relief) in September, none longer than 4.2 innings, he's posted a 2.95 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB through 18.1 innings.

Falter (2-9) took the loss in Tuesday's 14-1 rout at the hands of the Cubs, giving up two runs on a hit and two walks in just one inning. He struck out one.

The 26-year-old southpaw started the game but got a quick hook after only 24 pitches (15 strikes), with rookie righty Quinn Priester replacing him on the mound to begin the second inning. Falter had delivered a quality start against the Nationals in his last outing, but there's been no indication from the Bucs that his early exit Tuesday was due to any kind of injury, suggesting the move was made for strategic reasons. If Falter and Priester continue to be deployed as a tandem in some fashion, the duo would line up for two more appearances before the end of the regular season, but the lefty has been the far more effective pitcher lately, posting a 2.51 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 10:4 K:BB through 14.1 innings in September.

Priester didn't factor into the decision Tuesday as the Pirates were routed 14-1 by the Cubs, giving up four runs on five hits and two walks over six relief innings. He struck out two.

Bailey Falter got the start but curiously got the hook after giving up two runs in the first inning, with Priester taking over to begin the second. The rookie right-hander ended up handling his biggest workload in eight big-league appearances -- his previous high was 5.1 frames -- but he also served up his 10th homer, leaving him with a 8.61 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 29:21 K:BB through 38.2 MLB innings. It's not yet clear if the Pirates will continue deploying Falter and Priester together as a tandem in some fashion, but if so the duo would line up for two more appearances before the end of the regular season.
