Snell (4-7) took the loss Wednesday, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks over six innings in a 7-1 loss against the Pirates. He struck out 10.

Snell struck out at least 10 batters for a fourth consecutive outing and has given up two or fewer runs in seven straight appearances. During that stretch, he's posted a 0.86 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 66:15 K:BB across 42 innings. Despite taking the loss Wednesday, Snell is still in the midst of a stellar stretch and will look to maintain his strong play during his next start, which is tentatively scheduled during a three-game homestand versus the Angels.

Webb (7-7) took the loss Wednesday, coughing up five runs on eight hits over five innings as the Giants fell 6-1 to the Blue Jays. He struck out five without walking a batter.

The right-hander saw his three-start win streak snapped abruptly as Toronto jumped on him for five runs in the first inning. Webb will look to put an uneven June behind him -- despite the win streak he posted a 4.70 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 30:7 K:BB in 38.1 innings over six outings on the month. He's next set to take the mound early next week at home against the Mariners.

Keller (9-3) allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks while striking out five across six innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Padres.

Keller allowed a pair of hitters to reach base in each oh his first two innings but settled in to quiet the Padres thereafter. Despite generating fewer swings-and-misses of late -- he had only three swinging strikes across 104 total pitches Wednesday -- he has allowed only one earned run in three of his last four starts. Keller is also tied for fourth in the majors with nine wins, and he's picked up four positive decisions in his last seven outings.

Corbin (5-9) earned the win Wednesday, allowing five hits and no walks over seven scoreless innings against the Mariners. He struck out nine.

Corbin had it going Wednesday, doing most of his damage with his four-seamer and slider as he limited the Mariners to five singles and no runs over seven strong innings. The left-hander struck out a season-high nine batters in the contest, while it also marked his first scoreless outing of his 2023 campaign. Corbin had lost his last four decisions coming in, all in June, so Wednesday's gem was certainly a step in the right direction.

Grove allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three batters over five innings in a no-decision against Colorado on Wednesday.

Pitchers struggling in the altitude of Colorado is hardly a rare occurrence, but it still felt like a missed opportunity for Grove to impress in his first start in nearly two weeks. The last time the right-hander took the mound as a starter, he served up four long balls; though Grove didn't allow any homers Wednesday, he failed to miss many bats, notching just six swinging strikes and three punchouts. The 26-year-old has had the chance to stake a claim for a rotation spot with seven starts on the campaign, but he hasn't done much to earn that role with a 7.54 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 34:12 K:BB over 37 frames across nine overall appearances.

Freeland allowed six runs on four hits and five walks while striking out seven batters over five innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Wedneday.

Colorado staked Freeland to a four-run lead after three frames, and the left-hander appeared to have things under control by tossing three scoreless innings. However, the veteran hurler imploded in the fourth, issuing four walks and allowing three hits -- including a three-run homer by Mookie Betts-- as Los Angeles put up six runs. Freeland was allowed to finish that frame and complete one more, but the disastrous outing ended his chance of notching his first win since mid-May. Freeland began the season well but has struggled since that victory, posting a 7.15 ERA, 1.82 WHIP and 22:17 K:BB over 39 innings across eight starts.

Smyly (7-5) took the loss against Philadelphia on Wednesday, allowing seven runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out two batters over 3.2 innings.

Smyly, working on eight days of rest since his previous start, allowed a season-high seven earned runs and recorded his second-shortest start of the campaign while tying a season-low mark with just two punchouts. The left-hander gave up multiple homers for just the second time this year, though both of those instances have come across his past three starts. He has been mostly boom-or-bust in terms of performance this season, allowing two or fewer earned runs in 11 starts but surrendering five-plus earned runs in four of the other five appearances.

Nola (7-5) earned the win over the Cubs on Wednesday, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out four batters over five innings.

Nola recorded his shortest outing since going just 3.2 frames in his Opening Day start versus Texas, and he needed 97 pitches to get through five frames. However, the Phillies supported him with plenty of runs, allowing the right-hander to pick up his third win over his past five starts. Despite the victory, Nola's outing was mostly forgettable -- he snapped a 13-game streak of completing at least six innings and tallied his lowest strikeout total since May 14. His ERA is up to 4.51 on the campaign, a significant drop-off from the 3.25 mark he posted last season.

Davies allowed two hits and two walks while striking out three over seven scoreless innings but took a no-decision in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Rays.

Davies did an excellent job in his best and longest start of the season, but Scott McGough couldn't close it out. Over his previous three starts, Davies had allowed a combined 21 runs (18 earned) over 10.2 innings. The right-hander's recent slump is a large part of why his season numbers -- 6.54 ERA, 1.62 WHIP -- are less than impressive. He's added a 33:20 K:BB over 42.2 innings through nine starts on the season. Davies' next start is projected to be a home outing versus the Mets next week.

May (forearm) played catch Wednesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

May has been on the injured list since May 18 with a right forearm strain, and Wednesday marks the first time he's thrown since then. There is still no plan in place for May to return, but it is certainly a positive sign to see him throwing once again. The 25-year-old righty held a 2.63 ERA and 0.94 WHIP through 48 innings across nine starts before getting injured.
