Peterson (1-3) took the loss Saturday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and one walk over five innings during a 7-4 loss to San Francisco. He struck out eight.

Peterson allowed four runs in the first inning and two more in the second, but he was still able to get through five frames and struck out a season-high eight. The left-hander has given up at least five runs in three of his first five starts and currently sports a 7.36 ERA with a 30:9 K:BB through 25.2 innings.

Webb (1-4) earned the win Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings during a 7-4 win over the Mets. He struck out eight.

Webb gave up an RBI double to Daniel Vogelbach in the second and a solo shot to Brandon Nimmo in the third, but he got plenty of run support and cruised through a season-high seven innings en route to his first win. Through five starts (30.2 innings), the right-hander sports a 4.40 ERA with a dominating 36:4 K:BB.

Wesneski (1-1) took the loss Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over 4.1 innings during a 9-4 loss to the Dodgers. He struck out one.

Wesneski allowed a leadoff single to Mookie Betts, a double to Freddie Freeman and walked Max Muncy to load the bases in the first, but he limited the damage by inducing a double play from J.D. Martinez. However, that wasn't the end of the trouble for the young right-hander, who served up a solo home run to James Outman in the second and an RBI single to Outman in the fourth. Wesneski came out for the fifth but was pulled after Mookie Betts reached on a fielding error by Patrick Wisdom with one out. Outside of a stellar start in Oakland, Wesneski has really struggled to begin the campaign after showing flashes last year. He'll look to find some rhythm in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled for the Cubs' upcoming three-game set with the Padres.

May (2-1) earned the win Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks over 5.1 innings during a 9-4 victory over the Cubs. He struck out six.

May allowed a leadoff single to Nico Hoerner and walked the next two batters, but he got out of the first inning surrendering just one run on an RBI groundout by Seiya Suzuki. The right-hander got tagged for another run in the fourth when Eric Hosmer ripped an RBI double and was pulled in the sixth with a runner on first and one out. May has failed to get through the sixth inning in three straight starts, allowing multiple runs in each of those contests after giving up just one run over his first two outings (13 innings). His six strikeouts were a season high, and he owns a modest 19:10 K:BB through 29.1 innings.

Nastrini (undisclosed) made his season debut Thursday after being assigned to Double-A Tulsa, pitching three scoreless innings and striking out four in a 3-0 win over Wichita. He scattered one hit and three walks in the 47-pitch outing.

Nastrini was held back in extended spring training to begin the Double-A season, either due to an injury or in a deliberate measure by the Dodgers to manage his innings. Whatever the case, the 23-year-old right-hander was cleared to make his debut two weeks into the season and generally looked good, aside from the three walks. Keeping the free passes in check will be essential for Nastrini to find success down the road, and until he's able to do that in the higher levels of the minors, the Dodgers may be reluctant to push him to the big leagues.

Carrasco (elbow) will throw in two or three days, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Carrasco was shut down for three to five days after receiving an injection Wednesday to address the swelling caused by a small bone chip in his elbow. His updated timeline puts him at the back of that range or slightly behind, but that doesn't seem to be due to any setbacks. Whether or not Carrasco will be able to return soon or if he'll be shut down again for surgery will depend on how his throwing sessions go. Joey Lucchesi took his spot in the rotation and delivered a strong start Friday against the Giants.

Suarez (forearm) is expected to require three or four rehab outings before returning from the injured list, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Suarez has been dealing with a forearm issue since early in camp. He advanced to a simulated game Saturday but is still several steps from his season debut. That means Matt Strahm should still get the chance to make another handful of starts before Suarez returns.

Musgrove (toe/shoulder) was reinstated off the 15-day injured list by the Padres on Saturday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Musgrove comes off the IL to make his first start of the 2023 campaign against the Diamondbacks on Saturday. The right-hander scuffled a bit in his two rehab starts, but he also fanned 14 hitters over 9.1 innings. Musgrove may have some rust to shake off early, but he should be a strong fantasy option for the remainder of the 2023 season.

DeSclafani (1-1) allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings, taking the loss Friday versus the Mets.

DeSclafani gave up one run in the second inning and three more in the fifth, while the Giants' bats were limited to five hits in the 7-0 shutout loss. This was the first time the right-hander failed to record a quality start in four outings this season. Despite the poor showing, he's got a 2.63 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 21:2 K:BB across 24 innings. His next start is projected for next week versus the Cardinals.

Stripling will rejoin the San Francisco rotation and start Sunday's series finale with the Mets at Oracle Park, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Stripling opened the season as a member of the rotation, but he made just one start before making his subsequent three appearances as a long reliever. With Alex Wood (hamstring) landing on the injured list earlier this week, Stripling will get a chance to slot back into the rotation, but he'll be doing so with a streamlined repertoire, according to Slusser. Stripling said he has abandoned using the new changeup he had been experimenting with earlier this season, which he hopes will lead to improved command as he moves back into a starting role.
