Wright (17-5) earned the win over Colorado on Wednesday, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out six batters over seven scoreless innings.

Wright completed seven scoreless frames for the second straight contest, and he consequently took over the major-league lead with his 17th victory. The right-hander allowed at least one baserunner in six of his seven frames but didn't give up any extra-base hits and was aided by a pair of double plays. Wright has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign, supplementing his league-best win total with a 2.85 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 150:43 K:BB over 154.2 innings.

Peralta allowed one earned run on two hits and no walks while striking out three across five innings Wednesday against the Pirates. He did not factor into the decision.

Peralta didn't get many strikeouts and instead relied upon nine flyball outs to shut down the Pittsburgh lineup. He has allowed two earned runs or fewer in all six of his starts since returning from the injured list, though he has surprisingly only punched out 23 batters across 29.2 innings in that span. Even so, the stretch has helped him lower his ERA to 3.56 on the season.

Anderson (13-3) was tagged with the loss against the Mets on Wednesday, allowing two runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out three batters over seven innings.

Anderson pitched very well in the contest, yielding only a pair of runs on a two-run homer by Starling Marte in the third inning. That proved to be the difference in the game, as Los Angeles managed only one run against Jacob deGrom and a pair of relievers. Anderson nonetheless notched his ninth quality start in 11 contests since the start of July. He's been a vital addition to the Dodgers' staff this season, leading the team with 147.2 innings pitched while registering a 2.68 ERA and 1.02 WHIP, each of which projects to be a career-best mark by a wide margin.

Wood (8-12) allowed four earned runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five across 4.2 innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Padres.

Wood retired the first nine batters he faced, but he struggled from there to turn in a poor outing. The effort was another in a string of poor results for Wood, as he owns an 8.40 ERA across his last six starts. Despite that, he has maintained a 31:5 K:BB in the same span -- offering hope his surface stats will improve. For the season, Wood has a 5.10 ERA with 131:30 K:BB across 130.2 frames.

Henry (3-3) allowed seven runs on seven hits and four walks with four strikeouts through four-plus innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Phillies.

Henry wasn't very effective early on, with the third inning qualifying as his most troublesome frame. The Phillies got by with small ball, though they started to flex a bit more power -- albeit, with no home runs -- against the Arizona bullpen after Henry exited in the fifth inning. This was the worst of Henry's six starts this year, inflating his ERA to 4.83 with a 1.45 WHIP and 23:16 K:BB through 31.2 innings. The Diamondbacks have few better starting options available, so he can be tentatively penciled in for a road start in San Diego next week.

Musgrove (9-6) allowed three earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out 11 across 6.2 innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Giants.

Musgrove allowed only one run through six innings, but he allowed the first three batters he faced to reach base in the seventh frame to account for the majority of the damage. Nevertheless, it was a positive outing for Musgrove, as he earned his first win since June 16 and recorded double-digit strikeouts for the first time since June 30. For the season, he owns a 3.01 ERA and 149:31 K:BB across 149.1 innings for the season.

DeGrom (4-1) earned the win over the Dodgers on Wednesday, pitching seven innings and allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out nine batters.

DeGrom faced a challenge against MLB's highest-scoring team, but he came out on top while completing seven frames for the first time this season. The right-hander didn't give up his first hit until the fifth inning, and the only run against him came on a Mookie Betts homer in the sixth. DeGrom struck out exactly nine batters for the third straight game while racking up a whopping 25 swinging strikes -- the second time in only six starts that he has reached that mark this season. Despite missing most of the season with a shoulder injury, deGrom remains among the league's elite pitchers, and he's posted dominant numbers with a 1.98 ERA, 0.55 WHIP and 55:3 K:BB through 36.1 innings thus far.

Falter was removed from Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks with a right groin injury, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

The 25-year-old made a second straight turn through the rotation Wednesday in place of Zack Wheeler (forearm), and the lefty allowed only one run on five hits with six strikeouts and zero walks before the injury forced his exit with one out in the seventh inning. Falter left with a double-digit run lead and is in line for the victory, and it's an unceremonious end to a strong outing. Regardless of his health, Falter may not receive another start with Wheeler possibly reclaiming his rotation spot next week.

Quintana pitched 4.2 innings, surrendering two runs on seven hits while walking a batter and striking out one in Wednesday's extra-inning victory over the Reds. He did not factor into the decision.

Quintana pitched two scoreless innings to open Wednesday's contest before the Reds were able to scratch across two runs in the bottom of the third. He was later removed from the game after giving up a two-out single to Nick Senzel in the bottom of the fifth frame. Quintana has not been quite as sharp since he was traded to the Cardinals on Aug. 1, compiling a 3.38 ERA with an inflated 1.53 WHIP over 29.1 innings in six starts.

Wheeler (forearm) is expected to throw a bullpen session this weekend, and if all goes well, he could be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday against the Marlins, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

The veteran right-hander landed on the shelf last week with forearm tendinitis, but he may be looking at a minimum-length stay on the IL. If Wheeler is able to return next week, he may not have any significant workload limitations given the brevity of his absence.
