Urias (11-6) earned the win over San Francisco on Wednesday, allowing seven hits and no walks while striking out six batters over six scoreless innings.

Urias retired the first 11 batters he faced in the contest and allowed only one extra-base hit overall. He loaded the bases with no outs in the seventh inning before being pulled, but Evan Phillips came to the rescue and kept the Giants off the scoreboard. Urias continued a strong stretch during which he has allowed only three runs while posting a 23:2 K:BB over 26 innings across his past four starts. He's won all four of those outings and has earned a win in eight of his past nine starts overall.

Snell (4-5) earned the win over Colorado on Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and no walks while striking out nine batters over six innings.

Snell was dominant in the victory, racking up 14 swinging strikes and holding the Rockies to just one extra-base hit. The southpaw capitalized on San Diego's five-run first inning to cruise to his third straight win and fourth over his past five contests. That has brought his record up to 4-5 on the season after he opened the campaign without a victory through his initial eight starts. Over his past three appearances, Snell has posted a 1.06 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 21:3 K:BB across 17 frames.

Peralta gave up two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over 3.2 innings in an 8-7 loss to the Pirates on Wednesday. He did not factor into the decision.

Peralta made his first start since May 22 due to being sidelined with a lat injury. It didn't go as smoothly as he had hoped, since he was pulled before making it through the fourth inning after giving up a triple to Tucupita Marcano. However, Peralta did throw 67 pitches without any discomfort. It is a positive sign that he could be on his way to recapturing the success he found in 2021, when he posted an excellent 2.81 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with 195 strikeouts in 27 starts. Look for him to try and increase his workload in his next expected start against the Rays.

Alcantara (10-4) gave up six hits and one walk while striking out three over nine scoreless innings to earn the win in a 3-0 victory over the Reds on Wednesday.

Alcantara found himself in a bases-loaded jam in the first inning, due in part to his sloppy fielding on a softly hit grounder up the first base side of the diamond by Joey Votto. Despite throwing 22 pitches in the opening frame, the 26-year-old right-hander settled into a groove and needed only 83 to get through the next eight innings. Alcantara's performance moved him ahead of Framber Valdez for first in MLB with three complete games this season and lowers his ERA to a National League-leading 1.88. The Miami ace is expected to take his next turn in the rotation at Philadelphia next week.

Henry (0-1) allowed four earned runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three across five innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Guardians.

Henry was promoted from Triple-A Reno to make his big-league debut. He worked through shaky command early on but was ultimately undone by a three-run homer off the bat of Amed Rosario in the fifth inning. Given the current state of the Diamondbacks rotation, Henry should have the opportunity to take regular turns as a starter for the foreseeable future. Prior to being promoted, Henry managed a 3.83 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 100:44 K:BB across 108 innings with Reno -- respectable numbers given the offensive environment.

Steele will make his next start Friday against the Marlins, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Steele appeared set to pitch in Thursday's doubleheader after his start Wednesday was postponed due to inclement weather, but Chicago will instead push him back an additional day. Marcus Stroman will start Game 1 of the twin bill, and the Cubs have yet to announce who will take the mound for the nightcap.

Steele won't start as scheduled Wednesday against the Cardinals since the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

The contest will be made up via a doubleheader Thursday, and Steele should start one of those games. He's given up five runs (one earned) with an 8:5 K:BB across 8.2 frames in his two starts since the All-Star break.

Mikolas won't start as scheduled Wednesday against the Cubs since the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

The game will be made up via a doubleheader Thursday, and Mikolas figures to start one of those contests. The right-hander surrendered six runs in his first outing after the All-Star break, but he bounced back with two runs allowed across seven innings during his last start.

Wheeler (10-5) picked up the win Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits over seven innings in a 3-1 victory over Atlanta. He struck out seven without walking a batter.

The right-hander was on the wrong end of a pitchers' duel with Charlie Morton through six innings, but the Phillies erased a 1-0 deficit in the top of the seventh to get Wheeler the win. The quality start was his sixth in his last seven trips to the mound, a stretch during which he's posted a 2.54 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 43:7 K:BB through 46 innings.

Odorizzi, whom Atlanta acquired from the Astros on Monday, will make his team debut Saturday as a starter in one of the doubleheader games versus the Mets, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The upcoming twin bill will be the first of two doubleheaders on consecutive Saturdays for Atlanta, so expect the team to maintain a six-man rotation for at least the next two weeks. After that, manager Brian Snitker and his staff will likely assess where his pitching staff stands from a health and performance standpoint before determining whether to move back to a five-man rotation or keep the six-man setup in place. If all of Atlanta's other starters remain healthy following the two doubleheaders and Snitker's preference is to go with a five-man rotation, Odorizzi and Ian Anderson would seemingly be the pitchers most at risk of losing out on a starting spot. Over his 12 starts with Houston this season spanning 60 innings, Odorizzi turned in a respectable 3.75 ERA and 1.15 WHIP.
