Peralta (lat) will be activated from the 60-day injured list Wednesday to start against the Pirates, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The Brewers clearly didn't trade for Peralta, but he has not appeared in a game with the big club since May 22, so he can partly be viewed as a big post-deadline addition. Peralta threw only 52 pitches in his last rehab start, so he probably isn't ready for a full workload just yet. However, he should be back at full strength within a matter of weeks.

The Rockies recalled Feltner from Triple-A Albuquerque ahead of his scheduled start in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader in San Diego.

Feltner, who is making his ninth appearance and eighth start of the season for the Rockies, will carry a 1-3 record, 5.59 ERA and 1.35 WHIP into the contest. He'll likely be bound for Albuquerque immediately after his start, unless the Rockies deal away another starting pitcher prior to Tuesday's trade deadline and have a permanent opening in the rotation.

The Nationals acquired Gore (elbow), first baseman Luke Voit, infielder CJ Abrams, outfielders James Wood and Robert Hassell and right-hander Jarlin Susana from the Padres on Tuesday in exchange for outfielder Juan Soto and first baseman Josh Bell, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Gore was placed on the injured list last week with left elbow inflammation and soreness, but no structural damage was detected and he's expected to continue treating the injury through rest and rehab. Though Gore is unlikely to be ready to come off the IL until September, so long as he avoids surgery to address the injury, the 23-year-old will be a high-upside addition to a Nationals rotation that's currently short on impact arms. After a turbulent, injury-plagued minor-league season in 2021, Gore showed up healthy to spring training and pushed his way onto the Padres' Opening Day roster. Gore held down a rotation spot for the better part of the first half and struck out more than a batter per inning, but a few blowups in June and July inflated his ERA and WHIP to 4.50 and 1.47, respectively, before he landed on the IL. He'll look to return healthy by season's end to set the stage for a full-time appointment in the Washington rotation to begin the 2023 campaign.

Davies didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Guardians, giving up four runs on three hits and two walks over two-plus innings. He struck out one.

Two of the hits Davies allowed left the yard, including an Amed Rosario two-run blast to left-center field that chased the right-hander from the game with nobody out in the third inning. It was an inauspicious return to the rotation for Davies, who missed all of July with a shoulder issue, and he'll take a 4.28 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 63:28 K:BB through 82 innings into his next outing.

Henry was added to the taxi squad for Arizona's series in Cleveland, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

The left-handed Henry could see action in the majors as early as Wednesday. The Diamondbacks changed their scheduled starter for that day from Madison Bumgarner to "TBA." Henry has a respectable 3.83 ERA over 20 starts for Triple-A Reno in the Pacific Coast League this season.

Corbin (4-15) took the loss against the Mets on Monday, pitching 4.1 innings and allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four batters.

Corbin gave up three runs in the second inning and another in the third before being pulled with one out in the fifth frame. The left-hander racked up 12 swinging strikes but was done in by allowing five two-out hits. Corbin has struggled most of the season, but his problems have really been emphasized over his past five outings. During that stretch, he's registered a 10.29 ERA and 2.19 WHIP while taking five losses over 21 innings.

The Pirates acquired Oviedo and infielder Malcom Nunez from the Cardinals on Monday in exchange for left-hander Jose Quintana and right-hander Chris Stratton.

Oviedo has filled a versatile role for the Cardinals, posting a 3.20 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB across 25.1 innings. He should function as a multi-inning reliever in Pittsburgh's bullpen going forward.

Luzardo (2-4) took the loss against Cincinnati on Monday, allowing two runs on three hits and no walks while striking out five batters over five innings.

Luzardo made his first major-league appearance since May 10 and was able to stick around for 81 pitches, 49 of which were strikes. He gave up a pair of runs in the second inning but held the Reds scoreless in each of his other four frames; however, he received little support from his offense and was tagged with the loss. It was nonetheless a positive return for Luzardo, who had previously been on the 60-day IL with a forearm strain. He should be a fixture in the Marlins rotation for the rest of the season barring any further injury issues.

Webb (9-5) allowed six runs on eight hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out just two in five innings as he took the loss versus the Dodgers on Monday.

Webb had a run of eight straight quality starts in June and July, but his last two outings have been less than impressive. He gave up a two-run home run to Max Muncy in the second inning and then let the Dodgers cobble together a three-run rally in the third. He was also tagged for one more run in the fifth. The six runs allowed were a season high for Webb, who now has a 3.20 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 110:34 K:BB through 135 innings in 22 starts. The good news is that outings like this have been rare for the right-hander, who is projected for a much more favorable road start in Oakland this weekend.

Heaney allowed a run on four hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out seven in four innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Monday.

Heaney had a sloppy first inning, walking in a run before settling down for the rest of his short start. He exited after 74 pitches (55 strikes), making little progress in stretching out after a 71-pitch outing last Wednesday. The southpaw has recorded at least seven strikeouts in three of his five starts this year, and he's yet to allow more than one earned run. For the season, he has a 0.77 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 34:9 K:BB through 23.1 innings. Heaney is projected for a tough home start versus the Padres this weekend.
