Alexander is listed as the Brewers' starting pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Cubs in Milwaukee.

Alexander made his last two appearances out of the Milwaukee bullpen, but he'll be plugged back into the rotation this week with the team in need of a fifth starter after Adrian Houser (elbow) landed on the 15-day injured list Friday. Over his five starts prior to moving to the bullpen, Alexander turned in a 3.21 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 13:11 K:BB in 28 innings.

Liberatore is scheduled to make his next start with the Cardinals on Thursday in Atlanta.

As anticipated, Liberatore will be receiving more than one turn through the St. Louis rotation after he was recalled from Triple-A Memphis over the weekend in response to Jack Flaherty (shoulder) joining Steven Matz (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list. Liberatore made his fifth big-league start Saturday in Philadelphia, surrendering five runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three over 2.2 innings. He now sports a 5.66 ERA and 1.79 WHIP heading into his upcoming outing in Atlanta.

Marquez (thumb) is listed as the Rockies' scheduled starting pitcher for Tuesday's game in Los Angeles against the Dodgers.

Marquez's inclusion on the pitching schedule for the Rockies' three-game series in Los Angeles implies that he felt fine coming out of his between-starts bullpen session Sunday. The right-hander exited early in his previous outing June 29 -- also against the Dodgers -- after suffering a cut on the thumb of his throwing hand.

DeGrom (shoulder) struck out five of the six batters he faced Sunday in his first rehab start with Single-A St. Lucie. He hit the other batter he faced with a pitch.

Though his performance comes with the caveat that he was facing off against a lineup mostly made up of teenagers or players in their first year of professional ball, deGrom certainly looked to be in peak form during the 24-pitch outing, which was his first regular-season start at any level since July 7, 2021. He threw 18 strikes on the afternoon, eclipsing 100 miles per hour on seven of his pitches, according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. DiComo also notes that team officials anticipate deGrom will need 3-to-5 rehab starts while he goes through a spring training-style ramp-up program, in which case he wouldn't line up for a start before the Mets' final game of the first half July 17 in Chicago if he sticks to a four-day rest schedule. However, if deGrom is able to stretch out to five innings during his rehab assignment and remains free of setbacks to his right shoulder, he should be ready to make a start during the Mets' first series out of the All-Star break.

Carrasco (9-4) gave up one earned run on six hits and a walk while striking out eight over 5.2 innings to earn the win in a 4-1 victory over the Rangers on Sunday.

Carrasco's effective start on 102 pitches was enough to earn him his ninth win of the year, which is tied for second best in the majors. Playing for the Mets has certainly helped Carrasco's case this season, as his 4.64 ERA and 1.33 WHIP are nothing to write home about. He had come into the game going through a rough patch, having given up 19 earned runs over his previous four starts. The 35-year-old veteran will look for continued offensive support to pick up his 10th win of the year his next time out against Miami.

Lopez allowed two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five in 6.1 innings during Sunday's win over the Nationals. He didn't factor into the decision.

Lopez has been inconsistent recently, as he's now posted quality starts in two of his last four outings but gave up at least five runs in the other two appearances. The right-hander posted a 1.05 ERA over his first seven starts of the year but has logged a 4.59 ERA over his nine appearances since then. He's earned just one win over his last 10 starts. Lopez tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against the Mets on Friday.

Sanchez will start Tuesday's game against the Nationals, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

The 25-year-old was sent down in mid-June but will rejoin the Phillies as a starter after Ranger Suarez (back) was placed on the 15-day injured list. Sanchez has posted a 2.25 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 20 innings over seven appearances (six starts) at Triple-A Lehigh Valley and should have a chance to make at least one additional turn through the rotation if he performs well Tuesday.

Castillo gave up one earned run on six hits and a walk while striking out six over seven innings in a 4-3 win over Atlanta on Sunday. He did not factor into the decision.

Castillo continued his solid 2022 campaign with another consistent performance that saw him throw more than 100 pitches for the sixth straight game. The workhorse didn't get the win as he was matched up against Charlie Morton, who dealt seven scoreless innings, but he did enough to keep his team in the game, and the Reds won on a walk-off single in the ninth. Castillo now has a 66:22 K:BB over 64 innings this season. Castillo is expected to make his next start Friday against Tampa Bay.

Morton gave up a hit and a walk with no earned runs over seven innings in a 4-3 loss to the Reds on Sunday. Morton struck out 10 and did not factor into the decision.

Morton was on top of his game Sunday, and his seven innings of shutout ball marked his best start of his season. He retired the first 12 batters of the game and struck out the side in the third. Morton leaned effectively on his curveball to garner swings and misses on pitches out of the zone. The 38-year-old veteran had a weak start to the season, posting a 7.00 ERA in April, but his statistics appear to be normalizing closer toward his career averages. The veteran has a career 4.03 ERA in 1705 innings pitched. Morton is tentatively expected to start on Friday against the Nationals.

Wheeler (7-4) earned the win Sunday over the Cardinals. He allowed four hits and a walk with five strikeouts in seven scoreless innings.

All four hits Wheeler allowed were singles, and he didn't let a Cardinal advance past second base. The right-hander didn't have much swing-and-miss stuff with only 11 whiffs while throwing 72 of 108 pitches for strikes. Wheeler's logged quality starts in all but one of his last nine outings, and this was his fifth start of the year in which he didn't allow a run. He has a 2.66 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 99:20 K:BB through 88 innings in 15 starts overall. The Phillies' ace is projected for a road rematch with the Cardinals next weekend.
