Kershaw will be on a pitch count of approximately 70 pitches Saturday against the Giants, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

It's no surprise to see the veteran lefty treated carefully in his first start back following a month-long absence due to a pelvic injury. He made just a single rehab start and threw just 59 pitches across four innings, so the Dodgers won't want to add significantly to that total in his return. The pitch count decreases Kershaw's fantasy value for this particular start, though he still has a chance to pitch long enough to secure a win if he's particularly efficient.

Grove was recalled by the Dodgers on Saturday.

Grove is up to replace Walker Buehler, who's set to miss an extended period due to a forearm strain. Grove has made one start and one relief appearance thus far in his rookie season, allowing seven runs (three earned) in 4.2 innings while striking out three batters and walking four. While he could replace Buehler in the rotation, the Dodgers have two off days next week and should have Andrew Heaney (shoulder) back from the injured list next weekend, so it looks as though Grove may be a reliever for now.

Buehler was diagnosed with a right forearm strain Saturday and placed on the 15-day injured list.

Buehler was pulled from his start Friday against the Giants with what was originally called elbow discomfort, but the diagnosis has been updated to a forearm strain following an MRI. A forearm strain is sometimes the first sign of an issue which winds up requiring Tommy John surgery, a procedure which Buehler underwent back in 2015. While there's been no indication so far that this specific injury will require such a surgery, manager Dave Roberts did say that the righty will miss "a good bit of time," so don't expect him back on the mound any time soon. Michael Grove was recalled to take his place on the roster.

Buehler's elbow MRI results are not yet known, but he'll be placed on the injured list shortly and will miss "a good bit of time" per manager Dave Roberts, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Buehler struggled to an 8.76 ERA over his last three starts and exited with elbow discomfort after just four innings Friday against the Giants. While neither a specific diagnosis nor an exact timeline for his return have been revealed at this point, the fact that the Dodgers are already expecting an extended absence even before his MRI has been completed doesn't look like a good sign. Andrew Heaney (shoulder) could return next weekend, though he's hardly a like-for-like replacement for a pitcher of Buehler's caliber.

Hendricks has been resting due to shoulder fatigue but is lined up to make his next start Tuesday against the Padres, Gordon Wittenmyer of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Hendricks will be pitching on 12 days' rest when he returns to action. It seems as though he wasn't dealing with any explicit injury beyond fatigue and that the Cubs merely wanted to give him some extra rest, but any time an arm issue pops up for a pitcher, it's hard not to be at least somewhat worried.

Miley was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a left shoulder strain, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports.

Miley dealt with a shoulder injury earlier this year as well and has only made four starts for the Cubs in 2022. He has a 2.84 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 12 strikeouts in 19 innings and should be considered out indefinitely.

Kershaw (pelvis) was activated from the injured list ahead of Saturday's start against the Giants, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

He missed about a month with the injury and needed just one rehab start, in which he struck out seven over four innings. Kershaw has a 1.80 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 32 strikeouts in 30 innings this season.

Buehler will receive an MRI on his right elbow Saturday morning, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Buehler was pulled from Friday's contest against the Giants after four innings, and it was later disclosed that he is dealing with right elbow discomfort. Ardaya reports that the right-hander has dealt with discomfort in the elbow for years, and Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times explains that Buehler attempted to keep pitching when something "grabbed" in the elbow Friday only to discover that the issue didn't go away. The Dodgers -- and fantasy managers who roster Buehler -- will be holding their collective breaths while waiting to see what Saturday's MRI reveals.

Flaherty (shoulder) will make a third rehab start Wednesday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Flaherty has been exceptional in his two rehab starts to date, but he threw only 58 pitches in his second outing Friday, and the Cardinals want to build him up further before adding him back to the roster. If all goes well in his next outing, though, there's a chance his next one could come in the big leagues.

Feltner was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

It was announced Friday that Feltner would start the first game of Saturday's twin bill against the Padres, and the Rockies made the move official prior to first pitch.
