Lauer (6-5) allowed one run on three hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Sunday, striking out eight and earning a win over Cleveland.

Lauer torched Cleveland to start the contest, rolling through five no-hit innings before finally running into trouble in the sixth. He coughed up three straight singles, including an RBI base knock by Myles Straw. He's now 2-0 with a 0.93 ERA over 19.1 frames in his last three outings. Lauer lowered his season ERA to 3.10 with a 99:34 K:BB. He's lined up to face the Cubs at home next weekend.

Ashby allowed a hit and struck out five over three shutout innings while earning a save over Cleveland on Sunday.

Ashby entered a Brewers blowout in the seventh inning and cruised through three scoreless innings to earn his first career save. The left-handed rookie lowered his ERA to 3.13 through 23 innings this season. Barring an injury to a starting pitcher, Ashby will likely stay in a long-relief role for the rest of the season.

Steele (3-3) allowed five runs on 11 hits across five innings to take the loss Sunday against the Giants. He walked two and struck out four.

Steele simply allowed too many baserunners to be effective, and a two-run home run by Wilmer Flores in the fifth inning punctuated the rough outing. The lefty was reasonably solid in his previous two starts, allowing just three runs across 10 innings, so expect the rebuilding Cubs to keep him in the rotation through the end of the season and possibly into next year if he finishes strongly. Steele lines up to face the Brewers on Saturday in his next scheduled appearance.

Fried allowed three runs on four hits and a walk over six innings in Sunday's win over Miami. He struck out seven and did not factor in the decision.

Through five innings, Fried had allowed just one run on a solo blast by Jesus Sanchez in the second inning. He then coughed up a pair of RBI singles in the sixth. Over his last eight outings, the 27-year-old southpaw owns a 1.94 ERA with a 49:8 K:BB over 51 innings. Fried will carry a 3.47 ERA into his projected outing in San Francisco next weekend.

Corbin (8-14) allowed two runs on four hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out four and earning a win over the Pirates.

Corbin kept Pittsburgh in check for most of the afternoon, and both runs scored against him came via sacrifices. He also retired the last 13 batters he faced while picking up just his second win over his last 11 starts. The 32-year-old southpaw brought his season ERA down to 5.98 alongside a 122:50 K:BB. Corbin is projected to face the Rockies at home next weekend.

Nola allowed three runs on five hits and struck out 10 in 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus Colorado on Sunday.

For the third time in his last four starts, Nola didn't walk a batter. The only mistake on his ledger Sunday was a three-run home run to Garrett Hampson in the fifth inning. Nola remains without a win in his last nine starts, though he's taken only two losses in that span despite failing to complete six innings in seven of those outings. For the year, the right-hander has a 4.58 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 202:35 K:BB in 163 innings. He'll try to get back in the win column next weekend in a projected road start versus the Mets.

Feltner allowed two runs on four hits and three walks with six strikeouts in 3.2 innings versus Philadelphia on Sunday. He did not factor in the decision.

The 25-year-old had a terrible major-league debut last Sunday, but he was able to make some improvements in his second turn through the rotation. Feltner managed to keep the ball in the yard and record his first big-league strikeout, although he needed Colorado's offense to wake up later in the game to avoid the loss. He's still given up eight runs on nine hits and five walks across 6.1 innings, so there's clearly more room for progress. Feltner tentatively lines up for a road start in Washington next weekend if he stays in the rotation.

Snell left Sunday's game against the Dodgers due to left adductor tightness.

Snell removed himself from Sunday's game after throwing just 11 pitches, and he had a slight limp as he left the field. It's not yet clear whether the southpaw will be forced to miss his next turn through the rotation, but he tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against St. Louis on Friday.

Manager Luis Rojas said Sunday that he's hopeful deGrom (elbow) will be able to resume mound work this week, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

DeGrom threw from 120 feet off flat ground last week, and resuming mound work would be a clear step in the right direction. The right-hander is running out of time to return in 2021 with just three weeks remaining in the regular season, but Rojas remains hopeful that deGrom will be able to make an appearance or two late in the year.

Snell exited Sunday's game against the Dodgers in the bottom of the first inning with an apparent injury, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Snell appeared to hurt himself while throwing his 11th pitch of the game, and he immediately removed himself from the contest and limped off the field under his own power. The exact nature and severity of the issue aren't yet known, and it's not clear whether he'll be forced to miss additional time.
