Webb (6-3) won Thursday's 7-0 dispatching of the Rockies, throwing six innings and allowing three hits and two walks with eight strikeouts.

Webb was brilliant Thursday, with more strikeouts than baserunners allowed on his way to his first scoreless start since May. No Rocky made it past second base and three double plays assisted the 24-year-old in needing only 91 pitches to get through six innings. Webb now has four straight quality starts and hasn't lost since back on May 5, improving his ERA from 5.34 to 2.96 in the 10-start stretch.

Suarez allowed one earned run on three hits and two walks while striking out four across 4.1 innings Thursday against the Dodgers. He did not factor into the decision.

Suarez had another short outing from an innings perspective, and he's now completed three, 2.2 and 4.1 innings in his three appearances as a starter. However, he progressed toward a normal workload from a pitch count perspective, as he fired 82 total pitches -- 48 of which went for strikes. Though he's allowed only one earned run across 10 innings as a starter, Suarez has handed out six free passes in that span. That will be an area he'll need to improve upon in order to continue preventing runs while also getting him deeper into starts.

Darvish was removed from Thursday's start against the Diamondbacks with lower back tightness.

Darvish exited his outing with the team's head training after struggling through 2.2 innings. It could be viewed as a positive that his removal wasn't related to the left hip inflammation that sidelined him in July, though it's unclear how serious this injury may be.

Darvish struggled prior to exiting, as he allowed six runs (five earned) on six hits and one walk across 2.2 innings. Acee noted that Darvish looked uncomfortable throughout his start, which the results certainly reflect. It's unclear if there is an injury or what the issue may be, though it is worth noting that Darvish was sidelined by left hip inflammation in July.

Ynoa (hand) is lined up to be activated from the injured list Tuesday to start at Miami, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Ynoa completed his last rehab outing Wednesday, throwing 83 pitches while striking out seven across 4.2 innings. He also allowed three runs on four hits and four walks, but the team is confident enough in his form to activate him in the coming days. Prior to hitting the injured list May 17, Ynoa had maintained a 3.02 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with 50 strikeouts across 44.2 innings.

Muller was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Muller allowed six earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out just one across 2.1 innings Thursday against the Reds. He was also charged with the loss, dropping his record to 2-4. Though Muller had pitched effectively in the rotation since early July, he is seemingly the odd-man out with Huascar Ynoa (hand) set to return Tuesday. Muller's demotion also suggests that Touki Toussaint will remain a starter until Ian Anderson (shoulder) is activated.

Gutierrez (8-3) limited Atlanta to one run on five hits and a pair of walks over six innings Thursday, striking out six to earn the victory.

Gutierrez turned in another strong performance, settling in after allowing a Dansby Swanson RBI single in the first inning and holding Atlanta off the board the rest of the way. It was the fourth straight victory for the 25-year-old Gutierrez, who owns a 2.33 ERA and 21:8 K;BB over 19.1 innings during that stretch. He's lined up to face the Cubs at home in his next scheduled start.

Stroman (8-11) earned the win during the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Nationals. He gave up one run on three hits with eight strikeouts and two walks over 5.1 innings.

Stroman cruised through five shutout frames and allowed only two baserunners, but he was pulled with one out in the sixth after surrendering a run on two hits and a walk. It's the fourth straight start the right-hander has been unable to get through six innings, and he has a 3.85 ERA and 21:5 K:BB across 21 frames during that stretch. The victory also snapped his three-start losing streak.

The Brewers announced that Woodruff's removal after three innings during his start Thursday against the Cubs wasn't due to an injury, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports. He departed with a 5-1 lead and gave up an unearned run on two hits and three walks while striking out three.

Woodruff initially appeared to have suffered a injury to his leg when he was struck by a Andrew Romine line drive that he corralled and tossed to first base for the final out in the bottom of the third. However, no physical issue was behind Woodruff's removal, and Brewers manager Craig Counsell may have just elected to end the All-Star right-hander's day early due to his poor control (74 pitches, 46 strikes). Given that Woodruff was pitching on four days' rest for only the second time all season due to Milwaukee having to shorten its rotation from six to five men with Eric Lauer and Adrian Houser on the COVID-19 injured list, the Brewers may have had additional incentive to pull Woodruff from the contest. He'll tentatively line up to make his next start in the Brewers' series in St. Louis next week.

Woodruff was removed from his start Thursday against the Cubs after he was struck by a comebacker in the right hamstring in the bottom of the third inning, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. He gave up an unearned run on two hits and three walks while striking out three over three frames.

On the play in question, Woodruff appeared to knock down the line drive with his glove before it bounced into his leg, so he wouldn't seem to be dealing with a significant injury. The Brewers will presumably provide an update on Woodruff's condition later Thursday.
