Woodruff dropped to 7-5 after he was on the wrong side of Sunday's 3-1 loss to the White Sox. He worked seven innings and gave up three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out nine in the series finale.

Woodruff has now gone winless in four consecutive starts, but his 3.24 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 9.7 K/9 over that stretch gives fantasy managers little reason to panic. He was simply outdueled Sunday by Lance Lynn, who tossed six innings of one-run ball before turning the game over to hard-throwing relievers Michael Kopech and Liam Hendriks for the final three frames. With Milwaukee expected to keep its six-man rotation intact until further notice, Woodruff is unlikely to make his next start until Aug. 1 in Atlanta.

The Mets list Walker (shoulder) as their probable starter for Thursday's series finale with Atlanta at Citi Field, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Walker experienced a pinch in his left shoulder during his start against the Blue Jays over the weekend, when he was tagged for a season-high six earned runs over four frames. The southpaw has now churned out two duds in a row to open the second half, but the Mets apparently aren't worried about his poor form of late or the shoulder issue, which could explain his recent struggles. Assuming his between-starts bullpen session goes as expected, Walker will be good to go on normal rest Thursday and shouldn't face any restrictions.

Wood (9-3) earned the win over the Pirates on Sunday after allowing a run on five hits and two walks while striking out eight over 5.1 innings.

Wood started off a little rocky after allowing the Pirates to get on the board first with back-to-back hits in the first inning. He shut them down the rest of the way, using his slider and sinker to strike out eight for the third time over his last five starts. After a rough past two seasons in which he was hindered by injuries, Wood has rediscovered his old form and has pitched to a respectable 3.65 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 102:30 K:BB over 93.2 innings. He's in line for a home start against the Astros his next time out.

Brubaker (4-10) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out six over four innings in a loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Brubaker was stung by the long ball in this one, with both runs against him coming via homers. LaMonte Wade took the 27-year-old righty deep to lead off the game and then once again in the third. Brubaker has now given up multiple home runs in four of his last five starts and has been unable to top four innings in consecutive appearances. He owns a 4.67 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 99:23 K:BB over 96.1 innings. He'll be in search of his first win since May 29 in a road matchup against Philadelphia next weekend.

Toussaint (1-1) allowed one run on five hits and no walks while striking out 10 in seven innings to take the loss against the Phillies on Sunday.

Toussaint recorded double-digit strikeouts for the first time in his career Sunday, and he's allowed just one run in 13.2 innings across his first two starts in 2021. However, Atlanta struggled to generate much offensive production in the series finale, and the right-hander was forced to settle for the loss. Toussaint had slightly better command in Sunday's appearance, as he threw 64 of his 90 pitches for strikes. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Brewers on Friday.

Suarez struck out one in a perfect third of an inning to earn the save against Atlanta on Sunday.

Right-hander Aaron Nola came within one strike of a complete game Sunday, but Suarez entered with two outs in the ninth inning after Austin Riley brought the game within one run with his solo homer. The 25-year-old struck out the only batter he faced to earn his fourth save of the year. Across nine appearances since the start of July, the southpaw has notched a win and four saves with a 1.74 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in 10.1 innings.

Nola (7-6) allowed one run on four hits and no walks while striking out nine in 8.2 innings to earn the win over Atlanta on Sunday.

Nola came within one strike of tossing a complete game Sunday, but he gave up a solo homer to Austin Riley in the top of the ninth and was removed from the contest afterward. However, the right-hander still returned to the win column after Ranger Suarez recorded a strikeout to end the game. Nola has alternated wins and losses in his last four starts, and he's recorded a 5.84 ERA and 33:2 K:BB in 24.2 innings during that time. He tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Pittsburgh on Friday.

Mets manager Luis Rojas said deGrom (forearm) "felt good" while throwing off a mound Sunday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. "Everything is progressing well as of now," Rojas said of deGrom's recovery from right forearm tightness. "What is the next step? I don't know at this point."

DeGrom stepped back on the mound Sunday for the first time since being diagnosed with the injury July 17, and though the workout went according to plan, the team isn't yet willing to commit to a rehab schedule for the right-hander. According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, the Mets do intend to have deGrom make a minor-league rehab start prior to being activated from the injured list, which means the National League MVP candidate wouldn't be on track to rejoin the big club until early August at the soonest, given where he currently stands in his recovery program. Fantasy managers can probably feel confident that they won't miss out on a deGrom start by keeping him inactive for the Mets' upcoming eight-game week.

Hill yielded three runs on five hits and two walks over five innings in Sunday's win over Toronto. He struck out one and did not factor in the decision.

Hill dealt five shutout innings before running into trouble in the sixth. He was removed after putting the first three batters on base and was charged with three runs when they all came around to score. The veteran lefty threw just 62 pitches (39 strikes) before turning the ball over to the bullpen. Hill is now sporting a 3.95 ERA with a 92:38 K:BB through 100.1 innings this season. He's lined up to face the Reds at home next weekend.

Smyly underwent tests Sunday that revealed no structural damage to his left knee, and he's expected to make his next turn through the rotation Thursday against the Mets, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Smyly was pulled after four shutout innings in Saturday's win over the Phillies with the left knee injury, but follow-up evaluations don't appear to have revealed anything overly concerning. The southpaw is scheduled to go through a workout Monday, and if all goes well, he should get the green light to take the hill Thursday without any restrictions.
