Gutierrez (1-1) allowed two earned runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three across five innings in the win over the Cardinals on Thursday.

Gutierrez picked up his first career win in his second start for the Reds on Thursday. The rookie allowed two runs in the first inning on three hits and a walk, but he followed that with four hitless frames. The 25-year-old has a 2.70 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with six strikeouts through 10 MLB innings.

Anderson allowed three earned runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four across 5.1 innings Thursday against the Marlins. He did not factor into the decision.

Anderson allowed only one earned run prior to being pulled after recording one out in the sixth inning. However, he exited with runners on second and third, both of whom came around to score. Anderson has now failed to work at least six innings in eight of his 11 outings this season. Through 61.2 total frames, he's maintained a 4.67 ERA with 59 strikeouts.

Gomber (4-5) picked up the win Thursday after holding the Rangers scoreless across six innings. He allowed three hits and no walks while striking out six.

It was a gem of an outing for Gomber, who blanked his opponent for just the second time this year and did not issue any free passes for the third time. The left-hander seems to be figuring things out at hitter-happy Coors Field. He's also found success in his recent outings, scattering five runs over his last five starts to lower his ERA to 4.12 and WHIP to 1.14. Gomber's next projected start lines up for a favorable road matchup Wednesday at Miami.

Webb was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder strain Thursday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Webb dealt with a shoulder strain at the end of May, but he was reinstated from the injured list Saturday and earned the win over the Dodgers. However, the right-hander apparently hasn't moved past the injury and will be shut down once again after he felt shoulder soreness in a recent bullpen session, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports. To prevent another issue, manager Gabe Kapler said that the right-hander won't throw for several weeks, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Right-hander Nick Tropeano was recalled as part of a corresponding move, while Scott Kazmir (personal) or Conner Menez could be candidates to take Webb's place in the rotation.

Lorenzen (shoulder) will operate as a reliever when he returns from the injured list, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The 29-year-old received a second platelet-rich plasma injection for his right shoulder strain in early May and has been throwing off flat ground the past few weeks, and not having to ramp up to a starter's workload could hasten his return to the active roster. Lorenzen has primarily worked out of the bullpen since making 21 starts as a rookie in 2015, and he was a high-leverage piece for the Reds in 2019 with seven saves, 21 holds, a 2.92 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 85:28 K:BB over 83.1 innings. He could be activated from the injured list around the All-Star break in mid-July.

Corbin (3-5) allowed four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four in 5.1 innings to take the loss against Atlanta on Thursday.

Corbin's recent rough stretch continued Thursday, and he's now given up at least three runs in each of his last four outings. He began Thursday's contest by tossing five scoreless frames, but he gave up four runs to begin the sixth inning and was put in line for the loss as a result. The southpaw has now posted a 6.28 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in 57.1 innings across 11 starts this year. He tentatively lines up to make his next turn through the rotation at Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

The Pirates reinstated Brubaker (personal) from the bereavement list Thursday and placed him on the COVID-19 injured list while he clears intake protocols, Alex Stumpf of DKPittsburghSports.com reports.

Per Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com, Brubaker still needs to clear COVID-19 intake protocols before he can physically join the team, which may explain why he isn't listed among the Pirates' probable starters for this weekend's four-game series with the Marlins. Chase De Jong will make another spot start Saturday in place of Brubaker, who will most likely make his return to the rotation in the Pirates' upcoming series with the Dodgers that begins Tuesday.

Eflin will not start any of the games in the Phillies' weekend series against Washington, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

The Phillies were able to rearrange their rotation after their scheduled game Wednesday against the Reds was postponed. Rather than skip Spencer Howard or Vince Velasquez, neither of whom opened the year in the rotation, they'll push Eflin back, meaning he'll have over a week between his previous start Sunday against the Rays and his next outing, which will come Tuesday against Atlanta at the earliest. There haven't been reports that he's dealing with an injury, so this appears to be simply a way to get him some extra rest.

Gomber is now scheduled to make his next start Thursday at home against the Rangers, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.

Both Gomber and Gray made starts in the May 29 doubleheader with the Pirates, so the late switch in the pitching schedule won't affect the other members of the rotation.
