Oviedo (0-1) was tagged with the loss in Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Mets after allowing four runs on five hits while fanning two across four innings.

Oviedo gave up two long balls -- a two-run shot to Tomas Nido in the second inning and a solo shot to Jonathan Villar in the fourth -- and that was enough to saddle him with his first loss of the campaign. Oviedo has only made three appearances this season but has given up at least three runs in each of his last two outings. The sample size is small, but Oviedo has a 4.61 ERA after allowing seven runs across his 13.2 innings in 2021.

Anderson didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Brewers, allowing three runs on four hits and four walks over 4.1 innings while striking out two.

The right-hander got handed a 5-0 lead in the first inning, but Anderson couldn't last long enough to collect the resulting win as he needed 92 pitches (49 strikes) to record 13 outs. He has yet to pitching more than five innings in any start this season, and Anderson will take a 5.54 ERA and 21:14 K:BB through 26 innings into his next outing.

Peralta (3-1) took the loss Wednesday as the Brewers fell 5-4 to the Phillies, coughing up five runs on four hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out eight.

All five runs crossed the plate in a rough first inning, and while Peralta was able to steady the ship afterward, Milwaukee's offense couldn't climb out of the hole. The right-hander threw 44 of 73 pitches for strikes, and he'll take a 3.38 ERA and impressive 53:17 K:BB through 32 innings into his next outing.

Fried (1-1) collected the win in Wednesday's 5-3 victory over the Nationals, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out six.

Aside from a Yan Gomes solo shot in the fourth inning, Fried was sharp in his return from a hamstring strain, tossing 45 of 72 pitches for strikes. The southpaw had a rough start to the season, but now that he's healthy, he'll keep chipping away at his 8.44 ERA, with his 20:6 K:BB through 16 innings suggesting his ratios could improve rapidly.

Darvish allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while fanning eight across 5.2 innings Wednesday against the Pirates. He didn't factor into the decision.

Darvish ended just one out away from posting what would've been his sixth straight quality start, and the right-hander continues to pitch at a stellar level in 2021 -- he has given up just 11 runs across 43.2 innings while posting a 57:12 K:BB thus far. Darvish will try to extend this sizzling run next week, as he's slated to take the ball next week against Colorado on the road.

Webb (1-3) took the loss Wednesday at Colorado after giving up six runs on three hits with five strikeouts and three walks over 3.2 innings.

The 24-year-old started off with three scoreless frames Wednesday but was tagged for six runs during the fourth inning, leading to an early exit . Webb has a 5.34 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 33:14 K:BB across 32 innings through his first seven outings (six starts) of 2021.

Gray (4-2) earned the win Wednesday against the Giants after giving up two runs on four hits with eight strikeouts and two walks across six innings.

The right-hander surrendered a two-run homer to Brandon Crawford during the second inning, but he otherwise kept San Francisco off the board. Gray is off to a strong start this season with a 3.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 38:16 K:BB over 40.1 innings through seven outings.

Brubaker gave up two runs on six hits and three walks while fanning seven across five innings Wednesday against the Padres. He didn't factor into the decision.

Brubaker ended just three outs away from posting a quality start, something he achieved in two of his previous three outings. Brubaker has allowed two or fewer runs in five of his six appearances this season while posting a 37:8 K:BB across 32.1 innings. He'll try to extend this excellent stretch in his next start, scheduled for next week at home against the Reds.

Stroman (3-3) allowed four runs (two earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out six across five innings, taking the loss Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Stroman surrendered a home run to Paul Goldschmidt in the first inning and another to Paul DeJong in the fifth. It was the second-most hits Stroman allowed in a start this season, but he continues to do a good job striking out batters while limiting walks. The 30-year-old has a 2.12 ERA with a 29:7 K:BB in 34 innings through six starts.

Buehler allowed two earned runs on five hits and no walks while striking out eight across six innings Wednesday against the Cubs. He did not factor into the decision.

Buehler mowed through the Cubs with little trouble early on, surrendering only one hit through 4.2 innings. However, he surrendered a single to Matt Duffy before being taken yard by Jake Marisnick one batter later in the fifth to spoil his outing to some degree. Nevertheless, Buehler still pitched well and has now racked up a minimum of eight strikeouts in each of his past three starts. Though the team opted to give him extra rest after a rainout earlier in the week, Buehler currently lines up to make his next start Wednesday against Seattle.
