Jack Flaherty SP | DET
Cardinals' Jack Flaherty: Game postponed Saturday
Flaherty won't make his scheduled start Saturday against the Brewers since the Cardinals produced multiple positive tests for COVID-19, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
After Friday's contest was postponed for precautionary means, the Brewers and Cardinals won't suit up Saturday as a result of several positive COVID-19 tests within the St. Louis organization. Sunday's doubleheader hasn't officially been called off, but it's unclear whether the teams will be able to play. If the Cardinals are able to resume play in the near future, Flaherty could line up to pitch Sunday or Monday, but no official announcements have been made.

Jon Gray SP | TEX
Rockies' Jon Gray: Another no-decision
Gray didn't factor into the decision in Friday's contest between the Rockies and the Padres. He allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and one walk while fanning two across 5.2 innings.
Gray's numbers have not impressed thus far, as he has given up three earned runs while walking four and fanning five in 10.1 innings across his first two starts. He will continue looking for his first win of the season in his next scheduled start, set for Aug. 5 at home against the Giants.

Zac Gallen SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Zac Gallen: Improved command
Gallen made an adjustment in an effort to improve his command for Friday's start, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
Gallen adjusted his arm swing following his first start Sunday, when he walked five batters and threw just 46 strikes out of 88 pitches. The right-hander showed markedly improved command Friday in a no-decison; he walked just one batter and threw 72 strikes among his 96 pitches.

Luis Castillo SP | CHW
Reds' Luis Castillo: Takes loss in Detroit
Castillo (0-1) allowed five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out six over six innings in a loss to the Tigers on Friday.
Manager David Bell let Castillo begin the seventh inning, and while that decision was justified, it backfired. Detroit got to Castillo for three straight singles before he was pulled and extended a one-run lead to a three-run lead in the frame. Castillo appeared primed for a hot start with two straight matchups against the Tigers to begin the season, but he has a 4.50 ERA and a zero in the win column. A 17:2 K:BB portends good things to come, though he's going to face stiffer competition his next time out with a road matchup in Cleveland on the docket.

Zac Gallen SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Zac Gallen: Takes no-decision in win
Gallen took a no-decision during Friday's win over the Dodgers, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out nine across six innings.
After a shaky first start against the Padres, Gallen seemed to settle into a better rhythm Friday. The 24-year-old struck out the side in the first inning and retired nine of the first 10 batters he faced before surrendering a solo home run to Mookie Betts in the top of the fourth. His nine strikeouts tied a career high, which he reached on two occasions during the 2019 campaign. The right-hander will take the mound again Thursday against Houston.

Tony Gonsolin RP | KC
Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: No-decision in debut
Gonsolin did not factor into the decision during Friday's loss after holding the Diamondbacks scoreless across four innings. He allowed one hit and a walk while striking out one.
Aside from giving up a leadoff double to Ketel Marte in the first inning and a walk to Kole Calhoun in the fourth, Gonsolin shut the Diamondbacks down with ease, though he only got a chance to pitch through four frames. The 26-year-old was called up ahead of his scheduled start Friday to fill in for a spot start with Alex Wood (shoulder) and Clayton Kershaw (back) on the injured list. Gonsolin found success during his rookie campaign in 2019 with a 2.93 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 37:15 K:BB across 40 innings. With Kershaw expected to rejoin the rotation Sunday, Gonsolin's major-league status may be put on hold once again.

Seth Lugo SP | KC
Mets' Seth Lugo: Charged with loss Friday
Lugo (1-1) allowed one run on one hit and one walk while failing to record a strikeout over 0.2 innings as he was charged with the loss Friday against Atlanta.
Lugo was called on in a jam in the bottom of the eighth inning Friday and nearly got the Mets out of it, but he allowed a two-run double to Travis d'Arnaud that brought in two runs and put the 30-year-old in line for the loss and the blown save. Despite Friday's loss, the righty still carries fantasy upside as he's in the conversation to take over closing duties for the Mets once again this year.

Logan Webb SP | SF
Giants' Logan Webb: Limits damage versus Rangers
Webb allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and four walks over 3.2 innings while striking out four in a no-decision versus the Rangers on Friday.
Webb was again generous with baserunners in his second start of the year, but mostly avoided any significant damage. He needed 79 pitches (44 strikes) to complete his short outing, and the Giants were able to take him off the hook for the loss with a three-run fifth inning. Webb has a 2.35 ERA and 1.96 WHIP with six strikeouts in 7.2 innings so far. He's expected to face the Rockies on the road Wednesday.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: Earns first win of season
Darvish (1-1) earned the win in Friday's contest against the Pirates. He tossed six scoreless innings, giving up two hits and one walk while fanning seven.
Darvish was coming off a less-than-stellar season debut against the Brewers, but he bounced back admirably in this one. Darvish will attempt to build off this performance ahead of his next start, scheduled for Aug. 5 at Kansas City.

Trevor Williams RP | TEX
Pirates' Trevor Williams: Takes loss against Chicago
Williams (0-2) was tagged with the loss Friday against the Cubs. He gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits and three walks while fanning six across 4.2 innings.
Williams retired the first five batters he faced, but things went downhill from the third inning onward. It seems as if Williams' struggles during the 2019 season -- where he pitched to the tune of a 5.38 ERA -- remain in place for 2020 after two sub-par performances. His next start should come at home against the Twins on Aug. 5.
