Brandon Woodruff SP | MIL
Brewers' Brandon Woodruff: Final bullpen on tap
Woodruff (oblique) will throw one last bullpen session Saturday before being activated from the 10-day injured list, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Woodruff is on track to be activated sometime next week, though he'll need to pass one final test before that happens. The Brewers have yet to determine what the right-hander's role will be upon his return, but he's expected to be used in short bursts, per Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Tony Gonsolin RP | KC
Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Starting Wednesday
Gonsolin will start Wednesday's game against the Rays, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Gonsolin will take the place of Rich Hill, who suffered a knee injury during Thursday night's start. The right-hander may be on a pitch count, considering he's worked just three and four frames in his last two outings, respectively.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: MRI set for Monday
Hill will undergo an MRI on his left knee Monday in Los Angeles, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Hill was diagnosed with a left MCL strain after leaving Thursday's start against the Orioles, which was his first outing in nearly three months after dealing with a forearm strain. The MRI should help determine the severity of the injury and provide a timetable for his return, though his status for the rest of the season -- including the playoffs -- is already in jeopardy.

Carlos Martinez SP | SF
Cardinals' Carlos Martinez: Notches hold in big win
Martinez earned his second hold of the season in the Cardinals' win over the Rockies on Thursday, striking out the only two batters he faced to close out the eighth inning.
Andrew Miller preceded Martinez and was less than sharp to open the frame, issuing a leadoff walk to Nolan Arenado before plunking Charlie Blackmon and then moving both runners up 90 feet with a wild pitch. That prompted manager Mike Shildt to call on his closer with the tying run at the plate in a 6-3 game, and Martinez promptly mowed down Daniel Murphy and Tony Wolters to snuff out the threat. It was a rare non-save situation for Martinez, who could have used the work anyhow after taking the mound only once since Sept. 3 prior to Thursday.

Kyle Wright SP | CHC
Braves' Kyle Wright: Called up by Atlanta
Wright was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.
Wright hasn't looked good in four starts for the Braves this season, giving up 18 runs in 16.2 innings while posting a poor 14:13 K:BB. He's fared better in 21 starts for Gwinnett, though his 4.17 ERA and 1.26 WHIP at the Triple-A level aren't exactly elite numbers. It's not clear if he'll get any chances to start down the stretch.
-
Touki Toussaint RP | LAA
Braves' Touki Toussaint: Recalled by Braves
Toussaint was recalled by the Braves on Friday.
Toussaint failed to impress in 41.2 innings for the Braves this season, posting a 5.62 ERA and a 1.68 WHIP. His 22.7 percent strikeout rate almost exactly matches the league average (22.8 percent), while his 13.1 percent walk rate is quite poor. He'll seemingly be limited to relief duty down the stretch.
-
Freddy Peralta SP | TB
Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Notches sixth win
Peralta tossed two perfect innings and picked up his sixth win of the season in Thursday's victory over the Marlins.
Peralta was tagged for two earned runs in just 0.2 innings his previous time out, but he righted the ship Thursday and picked up another win in the process. Peralta isn't pitching frequently enough to help fantasy players all that much right now, but he has been effective -- particularly in the strikeout department --since rejoining the Brewers on Sept. 1, punching out 11 batters while giving up just the two earned runs (3.38 ERA) over 5.1 innings.

Vince Velasquez RP | KC
Phillies' Vince Velasquez: Won't start this week
Velasquez is listed as the Phillies' probable starter for Tuesday's series opener in Atlanta.
The Phillies are using Friday's off day to reshuffle the rotation, with manager Gabe Kapler electing to move ace Aaron Nola and No. 2 starter Jason Vargas ahead of Velasquez in the pitching schedule to keep them on their normal four days' rest. The adjustment means that Velasquez will miss out on a start this week, as he hasn't pitched since giving up four runs in 4.1 innings Sept. 8 versus the Mets. After another day off Monday, the Phillies will finish out the regular season with a stretch of 14 games in 13 days, with Velasquez tentatively lining up for three starts during that span.

Tony Gonsolin RP | KC
Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Picks up win in relief
Gonsolin (3-2) was credited with the win against Baltimore on Thursday, tossing three innings and allowing one run on two hits while striking out four.
Gonsolin was expected to follow Rich Hill after two innings, but the Dodgers were forced to bridge the gap with two additional relievers after Hill left with a knee injury after retiring only two batters. The change in plans did little to faze Gonsolin, who allowed a solo home run to Pedro Severino but otherwise limited the Orioles to a harmless single while whiffing four in his three innings. The 25-year-old has been impressive thus far in eight appearances for the big club, posting a 2.83 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB across 35 innings. Although six of his outings have come as a starter, Gonsolin's role moving forward is unclear, particularly with Hill's status hanging in the air and numerous other pitchers dividing time between starting and long relief this season.

Tyler Mahle SP | ATL
Reds' Tyler Mahle: Roughed up by Seattle
Mahle did not factor into the decision against the Mariners on Thursday, pitching 3.1 innings and giving up four runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out six.
Mahle was victimized by a pair of two-run homers but escaped with a no-decision when the Reds erupted for a combined nine runs in the seventh and eighth innings. Nonetheless, the 24-year-old's outing was discouraging as he posted his shortest start of the season and allowed multiple long balls for the fourth time in his last eight games. Mahle will carry a 5.11 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 120:29 K:BB over 116.1 innings into Chicago for his next scheduled start against the Cubs on Tuesday.
