Jon Gray SP | TEX
Rockies' Jon Gray: Earns seventh win
Gray (7-5) picked up the win Wednesday against Diamondbacks, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and a pair of walks while striking out four through six innings.
Gray turned in a solid performance without allowing any extra-base hits to pick up his third win of the month. The victory was Colorado's seventh straight over the Diamondbacks, tying a franchise record. The right-hander gave up both of his runs in the second inning and managed to escape several jams, stranding six Arizona baserunners overall. Gray will carry a 4.18 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 97:36: K:BB into his next start against the Giants on Monday.

Zack Greinke SP | KC
Diamondbacks' Zack Greinke: Charged with loss
Greinke (8-3) surrendered five runs on 11 hits while striking out two through seven innings Wednesday to take the loss against the Rockies.
The right-hander was in unusual form Wednesday, allowing a season-high 11 hits in a tough outing. Greinke held the Rockies scoreless until the fourth inning, when he gave up a two-run homer to Daniel Murphy. He then retired seven of the next eight batters until trouble knocked again in the seventh, when the 35-year-old allowed three runs on six hits, including five straight. On the bright side, Greinke was coming off 7.1 shutout innings against the Nationals and had not allowed a run over his last two starts. Despite the loss, he still owns a 2.91 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 87:14 K:BB. Greinke will look to rebound when he takes the mound for a Monday start against the Dodgers.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Leaves with forearm discomfort
Hill exited Wednesday's start against the Giants with left forearm discomfort, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
The Dodgers initially announced the injury as left forearm tightness, but it's a concerning development for Hill regardless. The 39-year-old returned to the mound for his second inning of work but was ultimately removed before the start of the frame.

Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Will start Friday
Strasburg is scheduled to start Friday's series opener against the Braves, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
Strasburg previously lined up to start Thursday versus the Phillies, but two postponements to begin the week plus Wednesday's doubleheader led to a change of plan. The 30-year-old threw a bullpen session earlier Wednesday, so the news doesn't come as much of a surprise. Erick Fedde will start Thursday's series finale for the Nationals.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Makes early exit Wednesday
Hill was removed from Wednesday's start versus the Giants with an apparent injury, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
Hill took the mound for the second inning but was visited by the athletic trainer and exited the game before throwing another pitch. The veteran left-hander had two strikeouts and threw 11 of his 15 pitches for strikes with normal velocity during a scoreless first inning. Therefore, it's unclear what injury he's dealing with, though it's worth noting he's had extensive blister issues in the past.

Max Fried SP | NYY
Braves' Max Fried: Gets improved results
Fried (8-3) allowed two earned runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out six across six innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Mets.
Fried kept the Mets' bats quiet, hardly running into trouble after allowing a run in the first frame. He showcased improved control, beginning 16 of the 25 batters he faced with a strike while also generating 16 called strikes. In addition, after allowing at least one home run in his past three starts, Fried was able to keep the ball in the park Wednesday. He'll look to maintain the positive results in his next outing, though he'll head to Wrigley Field to face the Cubs on Tuesday.

Steven Matz RP | TB
Mets' Steven Matz: Roughed up late
Matz (5-5) allowed five earned runs on six hits and four walks while striking out two across five innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Braves.
Matz had allowed only two earned runs and two hits through five innings of work. However, he surrendered four consecutive hits to begin the sixth frame -- three of which went for extra bases -- ruining his outing. After whiffing at least five batters in each of his last five starts, Matz also failed to miss many bats, generating just 10 swinging strikes. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, but he'll draw a tough road matchup against the Phillies.

Hyun-Jin Ryu SP | TOR
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Start bumped to Saturday
Ryu is scheduled to start Saturday's game against the Rockies, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
Ryu originally lined up to start Friday's series opener, but the Dodgers have decided to push everyone in the rotation back one game to provide an extra day of rest since the team's next off day isn't until July 1. The 32-year-old is enjoying a career year with a 1.26 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 85:5 K:BB over 93 innings.

Walker Buehler SP | SD
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Start pushed to Friday
Buehler will start Friday's series opener versus the Rockies, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
Buehler was scheduled to take the mound Thursday against the Giants, but the Dodgers will instead push the rotation back one day to provide an extra day of rest without an off day until July 1. The 24-year-old has a 3.06 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 84:13 K:BB through 82.1 innings this season.

Julio Urias SP | LAD
Dodgers' Julio Urias: Starting Thursday
Urias will make a spot start Thursday against the Giants, Pedro Moura of The Athletic reports.
Urias was assumed to start Saturday with Kenta Maeda (hand) having his scheduled turn pushed back a day, but he'll instead take the mound a couple days earlier. The 22-year-old has thrown between 26 and 41 pitches in his last eight outings, so he's not stretched out to be used as a traditional starter. Caleb Ferguson is expected to pitch second for the Dodgers in what is effectively a bullpen day.
