Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Six scoreless innings in return
Hill (finger) tossed six scoreless innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Cubs, allowing three hits and two walks with six strikeouts.
Hill made his first start in a month after battling another blister on his finger, but he was no worse for the wear in this one. The left-hander threw 72 percent of his pitches for strikes, racking up four one-two-three innings as he delivered his first scoreless start since Apr. 1. Hill reportedly tweaked his mechanics during his most recent stint on the DL, and although the sample size is tiny, the results were excellent in a tough matchup. His next start is scheduled for Monday, in a rematch against the Cubs.

German Marquez SP | SD
Rockies' German Marquez: Nabs fifth win
Marquez (5-7) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings against the Mets.
The Rockies' offense staked Marquez to an 8-2 lead through three innings-- and 9-2 through four -- allowing him to coast relatively easily for his first win since May. Though Tuesday's outing was a step in the right direction, the 23-year-old has struggled mightily since the calendar flipped to June. He's allowed at least four runs in all four starts, sporting a 7.77 ERA with seven homers allowed in 22 innings. He'll get a chance to get back on track Sunday against the Marlins.

Eric Lauer SP | LAD
Padres' Eric Lauer: Strikes out seven in no-decision Tuesday
Lauer allowed one unearned run on three hits in a no-decision against the A's on Tuesday, striking out seven and walking two in six innings.
Lauer allowed no extra-base hits en route to his third quality start of the year. The seven strikeouts match a season-high for Lauer and he now holds a 47:26 K:BB in 51 innings. The lefty still maintains an undesirable 5.47 ERA and .324 batting average against, but he has shown glimpses of effectiveness in between the rough outings. As starter Joey Lucchesi is set to return to the rotation, it's uncertain as of yet how the Padres will handle Lauer going forward.

Vince Velasquez RP | KC
Phillies' Vince Velasquez: Falters during seventh inning
Velasquez did not factor in the decision during Tuesday's loss to the Cardinals, allowing four runs on four hits across 6.1 innings. He issued three walks and struck out eight.
Velasquez recorded the first out in the seventh inning with only two runs allowed, but then gave up a single and hit a batter en route to being pulled. Tommy Hunter entered the game and allowed both runners to score before giving up two runs of his own, turning a 4-2 lead into a 6-4 deficit. The 26-year-old Velasquez now has a 4.82 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with a 97:29 K:BB over 80.1 innings this season.

Jameson Taillon SP | TOR
Pirates' Jameson Taillon: Mediocre against Brewers
Taillon (4-6) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out seven over five innings in Tuesday's loss to the Brewers.
Taillon wasn't especially sharp Tuesday, but his final stats were a bit tainted by two weakly-hit singles by Brewers leadoff man Lorenzo Cain. Cain beat out infield singles in the first and third innings and was eventually driven in by Jesus Aguilar in both frames. Taillon's mediocre outing raised his season ERA back above the 4.00 plateau. He'll look to put forth a more polished performance Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Freddy Peralta SP | TB
Brewers' Freddy Peralta: Strong start Tuesday
Peralta (2-0) was credited with the win Tuesday against the Pirates. He allowed just two hits while striking out seven over six scoreless innings.
Peralta turned in a brilliant effort Tuesday in what was just the third major-league start of his career. The young righty set down the side in order in four of his six frames and limited the Pirates to just two singles on the night. Peralta walked six batters in his last start against the Twins on May 19 but did not issue out a single free pass Tuesday. The 22-year-old now owns a 2.30 ERA with a 25:8 K:BB while only allowing six hits over his first 15.2 innings this season. Zach Davies (shoulder) will require a few more minor-league rehab outings, so Peralta could be in line for two or three more starts with the Brewers. Following the game, manager Craig Counsell confirmed that Peralta would make his next start Sunday against the Cardinals, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Mike Soroka SP | ARI
Braves' Mike Soroka: Tagged for four runs Tuesday
Soroka allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks over 4.2 innings in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays. He struck out two but did not factor into the decision.
Soroka received plenty of run support from his offense Tuesday but wasn't able to work deep enough into the contest to qualify for the win. The rookie allowed an incredible six doubles over his 4.2 innings of work, tying the Blue Jays' Marco Estrada for the most doubles surrendered in a single game this season. The 20-year-old has been a bit of a mixed bag this season, allowing one or fewer runs in three of his five starts, but surrendering a combined eight runs over 8.2 innings in his two poor outings. He'll look to bounce back Monday against the Reds.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Returns from DL
Hill (finger) was activated from the 10-day disabled list and will start Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cubs.
Hill will slot back into the Dodgers' rotation after missing the past month with a blister on his left middle finger. The southpaw struck out 10 while not allowing an earned run over four innings in a rehab start with High-A Rancho Cucamonga last week. He'll carry a 6.20 ERA over 24.2 innings into his start Tuesday.

Joey Lucchesi RP | LAA
Padres' Joey Lucchesi: Slated to start Wednesday
Lucchesi (hip) will be activated from the 10-day disabled list and start Wednesday against the Athletics.
Lucchesi rejoined the Padres on Tuesday and will get the ball for Wednesday's series finale after getting through his lone rehab start with no issues last Thursday. The 25-year-old lefty posted a 3.23 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 48:15 K:BB in 47.1 innings with the Padres prior to landing on the shelf, partially thanks to his deceptive delivery.

Joey Lucchesi RP | LAA
Padres' Joey Lucchesi: Expects to return this week
Lucchesi (hip) has rejoined the Padres and expects to be activated from the disabled list this week, Bill Center of MLB.com reports.
Lucchesi only threw four innings and 43 pitches in his rehab start with High-A Lake Elsinore last Thursday, but apparently he showed enough to convince the Padres that he's good to go. While he does not have a set date for a return, Saturday against San Francisco appears most likely for Lucchesi, as that is the team's only "TBA" listing this week, per Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune. Thanks in part to a highly deceptive delivery, the 25-year-old lefty has posted a 3.23 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 48:15 K:BB in 47.1 innings with the big-league team this season.
