Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Still shut down
Manager Davey Martinez said Strasburg (shoulder) is still shut down from throwing, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.
Strasburg, who landed on the disabled list last weekend with shoulder inflammation, is still receiving treatment. It's unclear when he'll be cleared to throw, leaving his return date up in the air. The 29-year-old is eligible to return June 19. In the meantime, Erick Fedde will fill in for Strasburg in the rotation.

Jerad Eickhoff SP | PIT
Phillies' Jerad Eickhoff: Could start throwing program soon
Eickhoff (lat, wrist) could throw a bullpen session Thursday, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.
He received a cortisone shot in his wrist earlier this week and is still working his way back from a lat injury. Eickhoff is without a timetable for his return to game action.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: Bullpen session goes well
Darvish (triceps) felt good after his bullpen session Tuesday, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
It's good news that Darvish didn't have any issues, though his return timeline remains unclear, even to his team. Manager Joe Maddon said, "The next step is to map out the next moment." Maddon acknowledged over the weekend that Darvish could be out until after the All-Star break, but if he keeps progressing in his rehab without any issues, he could beat that estimate.

Zach Davies SP | WAS
Brewers' Zach Davies: Still several weeks away
Davies (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Wednesday without issue, but is several weeks away from returning to the Brewers' rotation, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com.
Details regarding Davies' recovery from his latest setback have been minimal up to this point, but on the heels of a successful throwing session Wednesday, manager Craig Counsell indicated that Davies would throw "several mound sessions" then make "2-3 rehab starts" before coming off the disabled list. That likely pushes Davies' return date to sometime in July, but a better estimate will be able to be made once he is sent out on an official rehab assignment.

Noah Syndergaard SP | CLE
Mets' Noah Syndergaard: Second opinion confirms diagnosis
Syndergaard will rest for an unspecified amount of time before resuming a throwing program after a second opinion confirmed a strained ligament in his right index finger, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Manager Mickey Callaway said that Syndergaard "will rest until he's symptom free" and that his finger is still "tender to the touch." Callaway confirmed that there is no timetable and that he will begin throwing once "all that subsides," with the right-hander also likely to require a rehab assignment before returning from the 10-day disabled list. It seems likely that the right-hander will be sidelined until the last week of the month at the very least.

Mike Soroka SP | ARI
Braves' Mike Soroka: Reinstated from DL
Soroka (shoulder) was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday against the Mets.
The right-hander rejoins the Braves after spending about a month on the DL while recovering from a bout of shoulder inflammation. Soroka looked strong in his two rehab starts with Low-A Rome prior to being activated and shouldn't face a limited pitch count as he rejoins the Atlanta rotation. With Soroka back in the fold, Anibal Sanchez will presumably transition to a long-relief role, while the Braves designated Luke Jackson for assignment to make room for the rookie.

Jon Gray SP | TEX
Rockies' Jon Gray: Strikes out 10 in loss to Phillies
Gray (6-7) allowed four runs on three hits and four walks across six innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Phillies. He struck out 10.
Gray struggled with his command in this one, throwing just 57 percent of his pitches for strikes as he set a new season high in walks. That came back to bite him early on as a pair of first-inning free passes preceded a three-run home run by Scott Kingery. Wildness aside, Gray did well to regain his composure after a poor opening frame and racked up double-digit strikeouts for the third time this season. Punchouts are his only real source of fantasy value at the moment, with his 10.8 K/9 coming alongside a hefty 5.68 ERA and 1.49 WHIP.

Aaron Nola SP | PHI
Phillies' Aaron Nola: Strikes out 10 in win over Rockies
Nola (8-2) struck out 10 over 6.2 one-run innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Rockies. He allowed four hits with no walks and 10 strikeouts.
Nola was exceptional throughout this start, allowing just five batters to reach (one hit batsman) and only conceding a run when the bullpen let one of his runners across with two outs in the seventh. It was also the second time this season that Nola struck out double-digit batters without surrendering a walk. The 25-year-old has finally made the jump this season and is evolving into one of the better right-handed pitchers in the game, posting a 2.27 ERA and 0.93 WHIP -- both of which would comfortably be career bests. He's next scheduled to take the ball Sunday against the Brewers.

Trevor Williams RP | TEX
Pirates' Trevor Williams: Dealt loss Tuesday
Williams (5-4) took the loss Tuesday, allowing eight runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out two over three innings against the Diamondbacks.
Williams was done in early in this one, as three Pittsburgh errors in the opening frame led to a 37-pitch, six-run first inning. It's the second outing in a row the 26-year-old has lasted just three innings, and he hasn't made it more than five in any of his last four tries. Williams now has a 6.36 ERA in eight starts since the beginning of May, all but undoing an encouraging opening month. He'll look to get back on track Monday against the Brewers.

Miles Mikolas RP | WAS
Cardinals' Miles Mikolas: Takes loss despite quality start
Mikolas (7-2) struck out five and walked zero in a loss to the Padres on Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits in six innings.
Mikolas has now lost two of his last three starts, although he's posted quality starts in all three outings. The 29-year-old still holds an excellent 2.43 ERA and 0.96 WHIP to go along with a 63:9 K:BB in 85.1 innings. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next start on the road against the Phillies.
