Zack Wheeler SP | PHI
Mets' Zack Wheeler: Will start Wednesday
Wheeler's next start will come against the Orioles on Wednesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Wheeler was originally expected to take the hill against the Yankees on Friday but will have his start bumped up with the Mets having a pair of off days next week. The change in opponents provides a much more favorable matchup for the 28-year-old.

Seth Lugo SP | KC
Mets' Seth Lugo: Returning to bullpen role
Lugo will return to his role in the Mets' bullpen, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
There was a chance Lugo could start Wednesday against the Orioles after tossing four scoreless innings last Thursday, but Zack Wheeler will take the mound with the Mets having off days Monday and Thursday. The 28-year-old will return to his heavy workload in the New York bullpen, as he has a 2.21 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with 37 strikeouts over 36.2 innings this season.

Steven Matz RP | TB
Mets' Steven Matz: Will start as expected Sunday
Matz (finger) will make his scheduled start against the Cubs on Sunday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Matz played catch Thursday and had an uneventful bullpen session Friday, paving the way for his start against the Cubs. Assuming the finger issue doesn't crop up again, the Mets' left-hander should be fresh for the matchup with Chicago after throwing only 43 pitches during Tuesday's injury-shortened outing.

Robbie Ray SP | SD
Diamondbacks' Robbie Ray: Completes another bullpen session
Ray (oblique) threw a bullpen session Friday and is expected to throw off a mound again Monday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
Ray was cleared for mound work earlier this week, but only threw fastballs in his first session. The particulars of Ray's session Friday aren't known, but it's believed that he incorporated more breaking pitches this time around. He'll likely use his full repertoire Monday in what could be his final session before he resumes facing hitters in live batting practice.

Mike Soroka SP | ARI
Braves' Mike Soroka: Perfect in Friday's rehab start
Soroka (shoulder) struck out three over 3.2 perfect innings for Low-A Rome in his rehab start Friday.
The right-hander threw 28 of 45 pitches for strikes and completely overmatched Sally League hitters who would normally be a peer group for a 20-year-old pitcher. Soroka still doesn't have a target date for his return from the disabled list, but given his workload Friday, the Braves could give him one more rehab start before having him rejoin the big-league rotation -- which would put him on track to begin a homestand against the Mets on June 12.

Tyler Anderson SP | LAA
Rockies' Tyler Anderson: Allows five runs in no-decision
Anderson allowed five runs on seven hits in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Friday, striking out four and walking three in five innings.
Anderson allowed five runs for the second time in his last three outings, bringing his ERA to 5.07 on the season. After putting up a 1.88 ERA across five starts in April, Anderson had a 5.28 ERA in five May starts. He'll look to get back on track in his next start against the Reds in Cincinnati.

Miles Mikolas RP | WAS
Cardinals' Miles Mikolas: Takes first loss of season
Mikolas (6-1) allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits in a loss to the Pirates on Friday, striking out two and walking one in six innings.
Mikolas pitched well but was outmatched by Pirates starter Jameson Taillon. In seven out of 11 starts this season Mikolas has allowed two runs or fewer while going at least six innings. He's sporting an excellent 2.49 ERA and 1.00 WHIP while holding opponents to a .234 batting average. His next start will come against the Marlins at home.
-
Jameson Taillon SP | TOR
Pirates' Jameson Taillon: Throws eight scoreless innings for win
Taillon (3-4) struck out six in eight scoreless innings in a win over the Cardinals on Friday. He allowed three hits and one walk.
Taillon issued only one extra-base hit in Friday's contest and threw 67 of 104 pitches for strikes. This was Taillon's fifth quality start on the year, and he's now brought his ERA down to 3.97 to go along with a 1.16 WHIP. The right-hander has a 60:18 K:BB in 65.2 innings, and he'll look to even his record in his next start against the Dodgers at home.

Tyler Mahle SP | ATL
Reds' Tyler Mahle: Gets fourth win of season
Mahle (4-6) got the win against the Padres on Friday, scattering five hits and giving up no earned runs over five innings, striking out five and walking two in a 7-2 victory for the Reds.
Mahle had been hit with four earned runs in each of his last three starts prior to this one, but the right-hander was able to bag his fourth win of the season with this strong effort against the Padres. He's managed a respectable 61 strikeouts in his 63.2 innings, and he's scattered a few lockdown outings like this one through his 12 starts this season. However, he's also had a few clunkers that have contributed to a 4.38 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP, limiting his ability to establish himself as a consistently trustworthy fantasy option.
