Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Simulated game coming Tuesday
Hill (finger) is scheduled to throw a simulated game Tuesday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Hill has been able to steadily increase his level of activity lately. He threw a bullpen session without any restrictions Sunday and will move up to tossing a simulated game Tuesday. Although it's unclear when Hill will come off the disabled list, information should become available in the near future.

Walker Buehler SP | SD
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Confirmed as Monday's starter
Buehler is starting Monday's game against the Marlins.
As expected, Buehler was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of Monday's series opener against the Marlins in order to make a spot start in place of the injured Rich Hill (finger). The top prospect allowed eight runs over 9.1 innings of relief with the Dodgers in his big-league debut last season, but he owns an impressive 2.08 ERA and 16:4 K:BB across 13 innings (three starts) with Oklahoma City so far this year. He's a viable streaming option against a weak Marlins team, and may get a second start this week on Saturday, although he could be sent back to Triple-A at the end of the week. The Dodgers figure to be careful with his innings this season, so he is not a realistic option to stick in the big-league rotation for the full rest of the year.

Eric Lauer SP | LAD
Padres' Eric Lauer: Confirmed as Tuesday's starter
Lauer will start Tuesday's game against the Rockies, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
Lauer was scratched from his scheduled start with Triple-A El Paso, and it appears that was in fact in an effort to get him lined up for a major-league spot start. The southpaw has a 3.00 ERA and a 19:6 K:BB through three starts (18 innings) with the Chihuahuas, and he'll look to carry that into Tuesday's road start against Kyle Freeland and the Rockies.

Seth Lugo SP | KC
Mets' Seth Lugo: Leaning on excellent curveball
Lugo is throwing his curveball more than ever, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Lugo's curve boasts the third-highest spin rate in the league. Its usage has spiked from 17.4 percent last year to 27.8 percent this season. On the surface, it appears to be driving the best performance of his career, as he has a 2.45 ERA in 11 innings out of the bullpen this season. The underlying numbers suggest that Lugo isn't really doing all that well, though. His FIP stands at 5.70, with an 18.2 percent strikeout rate and a far-too-high 13.6 percent walk rate. Based on those numbers, it seems unlikely that Lugo will push for either a higher-leverage bullpen role or a starting spot at any point in the near future.

Alec Asher SP | MIL
Brewers' Alec Asher: Outrighted to Triple-A
The Brewers outrighted Asher to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday, MLB.com reports.
Asher went unclaimed off waivers after being designated for assignment last week, so he'll stick around in the Milwaukee organization as starting depth in the minors. The 26-year-old right-hander made 24 appearances (six starts) with the Orioles in 2017, accruing a 5.25 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 47 strikeouts in 60 frames.

Wade Miley SP | CIN
Brewers' Wade Miley: Tagged in minor-league start
Miley (groin) allowed four earned runs over three innings in a start with Double-A Biloxi on Sunday.
Miley has made two starts with Biloxi since returning to game action, and the results have not been pretty, as he has allowed 10 hits, six runs (four earned), and three home runs over 5.2 innings. He did throw the ball very well during the spring, though, which will help his cause when the Brewers decide whether to add him to the big-league roster or let him opt out of his contract at some point in the coming days.

Alex Wood RP | ATH
Dodgers' Alex Wood: Puts together quality start
Wood allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings Sunday. He didn't factor into the decision in a 4-3 win over the Nationals.
Wood is still searching for his first win on the year, despite a decent 3.72 ERA and 0.83 WHIP through five starts. He allowed three runs Sunday against the Nationals and was on the hook for the loss until the Dodgers responded with a three-run sixth inning. The 27-year-old left-hander is coming off a season in which he went 16-3 with a 2.72 ERA, so he'll look to get back to his 2017 self in his next start, which figures to come Saturday against the Giants.

German Marquez SP | SD
Rockies' German Marquez: Crushed on Sunday
Marquez (1-2) allowed six earned runs on eight hits while walking one and striking out five across 3.1 innings to take the loss Sunday against the Cubs.
Though he didn't allow many big hits, the Cubs were consistently able to string together singles against Marquez with the result being his ugly line. Though he hadn't had big splits pitching at Coors Field versus on the road in the past, he has been rocked for 13 earned runs in 11 innings pitched at home to begin the campaign. That comes in comparison to his road outings, in which he has allowed just two earned runs across 11 innings. He strikes out enough batters to be an under-the-radar streaming option on the road, but he cannot be trusted in home starts.

Jose Quintana SP | COL
Cubs' Jose Quintana: Roughed up at Coors Field
Quintana (2-1) allowed four earned runs on eight hits while walking one and striking out seven across 5,1 innings to earn the win Sunday against the Rockies.
Quintana's start unraveled in the fifth inning when he surrendered back-to-back home runs to the Charlie Blackmon and Nolan Arenado. While this start piled on to his poor performance to begin the season, it shouldn't necessarily be held against him as it came in the friendliest hitter's environment in the league. There were also positive indicators in this performance, mainly that as he was able to find the strike zone more consistently than in prior starts. He'll look to get his season on track in his next start, likely to come against the Brewers on Saturday.

Miles Mikolas RP | WAS
Cardinals' Miles Mikolas: Allows one run while earning third win
Mikolas (3-0) got the win Sunday, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out six over seven innings against the Reds.
After a pair of rocky outings to open the season, Mikolas has now notched back-to-back starts allowing only one earned run over seven innings in wins over the Reds. It's tough to read too much into that, as Cincinnati ranks last in all of baseball in runs per game, but the 29-year-old did display terrific command, throwing 67 of his 85 pitches for strikes. It was also the third time in his four starts that he didn't issue a walk, leaving his K:BB at a sterling 20:2. After only facing the Brewers and Reds thus far, Mikolas lines up to take on another NL Central foe in the Pirates on Friday.
