Kyle Hendricks SP | LAA
Cubs' Kyle Hendricks: Expected back for next start
Hendricks (hand) is expected to make his next start for the big-league club, manager Joe Maddon told 670 The Score.
Hendricks was dominant in a rehab start with Double-A Tennessee on Monday, throwing five perfect innings with three strikeouts. He only built up to 63 pitches in that outing, but apparently the Cubs are content to bring him back right away, even if Hendricks is limited in his pitch count initially upon his return. It seems likely that Mike Montgomery will transition back to the bullpen.

Vince Velasquez RP | KC
Phillies' Vince Velasquez: Officially reinstated ahead of Tuesday's start
Velasquez (elbow) was activated from the 10-day disabled list ahead of his scheduled start Tuesday.
As expected, Velasquez will return to the rotation after being sidelined since late May. His first assignment will be against the Marlins on Tuesday as he looks to improve his 5.58 ERA and 1.46 WHIP.

Vince Velasquez RP | KC
Phillies' Vince Velasquez: Will come off DL on Tuesday
Manager Pete Mackanin confirmed Velasquez (elbow) will start Tuesday for the Phillies, Patrick Pinak of MLB.com reports.
Velasquez will be making his first start since May 30. He made three rehab starts this month, going 0-1 with a 3.60 ERA and 9:3 K:BB in 10 innings. The young righty will face the Marlins in Miami on Tuesday.

Jerad Eickhoff SP | PIT
Phillies' Jerad Eickhoff: Allows five runs to Marlins
Eickhoff allowed five runs on six hits and four walks while striking out eight batters through six innings during Monday's loss to Miami. He didn't factor into the decision.
This was a disappointing followup to Eickhoff's best outing -- and first win -- of the season, but the eight strikeouts softened the blow. Still, the 27-year-old righty sports an underwhelming 4.83 ERA and 1.52 WHIP for the season, and his 4.34 FIP doesn't suggest there are sunnier stretches ahead this summer. A home start against the Brewers is up next for Eickhoff.

Julio Teheran SP | BAL
Braves' Julio Teheran: Pitches well in loss Monday
Teheran (7-7) allowed two runs on five hits and four walks while striking out five batters through six innings during Monday's loss to the Cubs.
It had been a year-long struggle at SunTrust Park for Teheran, so Monday's showing was a welcomed step in the right direction for fantasy owners. He's posted a high-end 2.53 ERA and 1.18 WHIP on the road, so it might be best to consider utilizing him in away matchups only moving forward. It's also worth noting that his 6.6 K/9 is well below the 7.9 mark he posted through the past four seasons. Teheran lines up for a daunting road matchup against the Dodgers in his next start.

German Marquez SP | SD
Rockies' German Marquez: Hurls quality start Monday
Marquez (7-4) allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out nine over 6.2 innings during Monday's win over the Padres.
Though Marquez did allow 10 baserunners, he was able to limit the Padres to just three runs en route to his sixth quality start of the season. The righty's nine punchouts also tied the career high that he set in his previous matchup with the Padres on June 2. The 22-year-old will carry a 4.34 ERA into his upcoming start against the Pirates on Saturday.

Zack Wheeler SP | PHI
Mets' Zack Wheeler: Drops to 3-7 with loss
Wheeler (3-7) allowed four runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out five batters through 5.1 innings during Monday's loss to St. Louis.
Wheeler has pitched fairly well since returning from the disabled list, with six earned runs allowed over 15 innings through three starts. A few poor outings have his season-long 4.98 ERA and 1.55 WHIP out of whack with his talent, and Wheeler has the upside to be a serviceable fantasy asset moving forward. It's probably still wise to be a little selective with his matchups, though. Wheeler lines up to face Oakland at Citi Field in his next start.
-
Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Grabs 11th win
Wainwright (11-5) allowed three runs -- two earned -- on six hits and two walks while striking out just three batters over 5.2 innings during Monday's win over the Mets.
Wainwright's inconsistent season continues. He's now allowed two runs or fewer 11 times this season. Unfortunately, he's allowed 46 runs through 35.2 innings over his other eight starts. It is worth noting that the veteran has been much better at home with a 3.19 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 8.0 K/9, which is something to keep in mind moving forward. Wainwright lines up to face the Cubs at Wrigley Field in his next start.

Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Fans 11 in dominant win Monday
Strasburg (10-3) threw seven innings of one-run ball in Monday's win over the Reds, striking out 11 while allowing four hits and one walk.
Strasburg was dominant in this one, recording a whopping 20 swing-and-misses while throwing first-pitch strikes to 17 of the 25 batters he faced. The only runner who got past first base against the right-hander was Eugenio Suarez, who hit a solo home run in the second inning, accounting for the only run on his ledger. Strasburg endured a lackluster outing in his final appearance before the All-Star break, but the nine-day break seemed to do him well. He'll carry a sharp 3.31 ERA into Sunday's road start against the Diamondbacks.

Chase Anderson RP | TEX
Brewers' Chase Anderson: Looking to hit mound before end of July
Manager Craig Counsell said that Anderson's (oblique) rehab is moving along and the earliest he could begin throwing off a mound is during the next homestand, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
This appears to push the right-hander's return a bit further into August. No word on an estimated return date has come forth at this point, but things should become clear once he returns to the mound. Brent Suter should continue to log starts in Anderson's stead until he returns to the fray.
