Taijuan Walker SP | LAA
Diamondbacks' Taijuan Walker: Set for simulated game Wednesday
Walker (finger) will throw in an extended spring training game Wednesday, Patrick Pinak of MLB.com reports.
Though Walker hasn't been able to get over the blister on his right hand as quickly as the Diamondbacks had hoped, he hasn't experienced any significant setbacks and doesn't seem to be too far off from a return after tossing a 20-pitch bullpen session Saturday. If the simulated game goes well, Walker could bypass a rehab assignment and rejoin the Diamondbacks rotation, though that probably wouldn't happen until early next week. Randall Delgado and one of Braden Shipley or Zack Godley look poised to pick up starts this week while Walker throws at extended spring training.

Zach Davies SP | WAS
Brewers' Zach Davies: Fires six scoreless against Dodgers
Davies (6-3) pitched six scoreless innings with just three hits and a walk allowed while striking out six batters during Sunday's win over the Dodgers.
Sunday's outing stands out from an otherwise mediocre campaign for the 24-year-old righty. Davies sports a 4.69 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 6.5 K/9, and his 4.93 FIP suggests he might actually be overachieving. Still, he posted a 3.92 ERA and 3.88 FIP through the first 34 starts of his career, so his smoke-and-mirrors pitch arsenal probably has positive regression ahead. He has a daunting road matchup against the Diamondbacks up next, though.

Tyler Pill SP | LAD
Mets' Tyler Pill: Hit with second loss
Pill (0-2) allowed five runs -- three earned -- on eight hits while striking out four batters over five innings during Sunday's loss to Pittsburgh.
Through his two starts, Pill sports a 3.48 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 7.0 K/9 over 10.1 innings with the Mets. However, he owns a 5.58 ERA and 1.56 WHIP over 31 career games at the Triple-A level, so expectations should probably be kept in check. Pill could also be returned to Triple-A Las Vegas in short order with Steven Matz (elbow) returning to pitch against the Braves on June 10 or 11.

Trevor Williams RP | TEX
Pirates' Trevor Williams: Goes seven strong for third win
Williams (3-3) allowed a single run on seven hits and two walks while striking out three batters during Sunday's win over the Mets.
The 25-year-old righty has allowed just two runs through 13 innings over his past two outings and is now stretched out enough to pitch deeper into games after beginning the season in the bullpen. Over his last three starts, Williams has a 2.50 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 6.0 K/9. He's worth a look in deeper settings or as an option for streaming and daily contests. Williams next lines up to face the Marlins on Saturday.

Michael Wacha SP | KC
Cardinals' Michael Wacha: Knocked out early Sunday
Wacha lasted just 4.1 innings Sunday, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks while striking out five Cubs in a no-decision.
The 25-year-old right-hander's early-season success looks like it may have been a mirage. Wacha worked his way to a 2.74 ERA while logging six quality starts in his first seven games of 2017. In three outings since, the fifth-year pitcher has gone 0-2 with an 11.91 ERA. Wacha will look to get back on track in a favorable matchup Friday against the Phillies.

Kyle Hendricks SP | LAA
Cubs' Kyle Hendricks: Knocked out early Sunday
Hendricks pitched four innings, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three in a no-decision Sunday vs. St. Louis.
Through 11 starts, last year's ERA champ owns career highs in ERA (4.09) and WHIP (1.20), and his 8.3 percent walk rate is a far cry from the 5.9 percent mark Hendricks posted in 2016. The 27-year-old's last two starts (nine runs over nine innings) have been particularly disappointing, considering the favorable matchups. San Diego (Monday's opponent) has MLB's worst offense, and St. Louis is below average. With that in mind, Hendricks is no longer a member of fantasy's "set it and forget it" class of pitchers. He'll make his next start at home Friday against Colorado.

Julio Teheran SP | BAL
Braves' Julio Teheran: Nabs win despite allowing seven runs
Teheran (5-4) allowed seven runs on 11 hits and two walks while striking out four batters during Sunday's win over Cincinnati.
Atlanta spotted its starter nine runs through the first three innings, and Teheran was able to get out of the fifth inning to put himself in line for the win. Obviously, this was a poor outing from Teheran, but collecting the win helps soften the blow to his ratios. He sports a 5.40 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 6.9 K/9 for the campaign and lines up for a home start against the Mets next.

Vance Worley SP | NYM
Marlins' Vance Worley: Lit up in no-decision versus D-backs
Worley allowed five runs on six hits and three walks across 3.2 innings in a no-decision Sunday against the D-backs. He struck out five.
Worley threw 67 percent of his pitches for strikes in this one, but location seemed to be a challenge as he set a new season high in walks while allowing four extra-base hits in his short time on the mound. Luckily, the bullpen pitched 5.1 scoreless innings after his removal and the offense came to life, propelling the club to victory. Worley hadn't been convincing prior to this start and now carries an unsightly 6.59 ERA to go along with a 9:4 K:BB through 12.2 innings this season. He is currently scheduled to start Friday against the Pirates and will need to deliver a more encouraging result if he is to maintain his current role.

Kenta Maeda SP | NYY
Dodgers' Kenta Maeda: Remains in rotation despite struggles
Maeda will make his next scheduled start Saturday against the Reds, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Maeda was moderately effective in Sunday's start against the Brewers, but it was yet another short outing for the right-hander. He allowed two runs over 4.0 innings, marking his third straight start of 5.0 or less innings. Maeda did manage to fan seven hitters in that span, but McCullough notes that frustration with his overall performance of late is growing.

Zach Eflin SP | BAL
Phillies' Zach Eflin: Hits 7-day DL
Eflin was placed on the 7-day disabled list at Triple-A Lehigh Valley with an undisclosed injury, Greg Joyce of The Easton Express-Times reports.
After struggling in his role as the Phillies' fifth starter, Eflin was demoted to Lehigh Valley on May 28 and picked up an injury in his first turn with the Triple-A club. The Phillies have an opening in the rotation after Vince Velasquez was diagnosed with a minor flexor strain, but even before suffering the injury, it didn't sound as though Eflin was under serious consideration to rejoin the big club. Instead, the Phillies will call up Nick Pivetta from Triple-A to join the rotation Monday when Velasquez's turn comes up.
