Noah Syndergaard SP | CLE
Mets' Noah Syndergaard: Plays catch Friday
Syndergaard (biceps) played catch before Friday's game, which could determine whether he starts Sunday, James Wagner of The New York Times reports.
Manager Terry Collins said he expects Syndergaard to be able to make his scheduled start against the Nationals, but wants to see how the ace feels after some light throwing. Sean Gilmartin was recalled Friday and could take his spot in the event of any setbacks. Expect more information from the team soon.

Sammy Solis SP | SD
Nationals' Sammy Solis: Undergoes MRI on elbow
Solis underwent an MRI on his elbow Friday and the team is awaiting results, Chelsea James of the Washington Post reports.
Solis has been dealing with nerve irritation over the past couple weeks and it seems to be lingering for longer than was previously expected. The MRI should provide a clearer picture on when he will be able to return to regular action.

Julio Urias SP | LAD
Dodgers' Julio Urias: Solid in 2017 debut
Urias held the Giants to one run on four hits over 5.2 innings Thursday. He walked four and struck out four in a 5-1 win.
The Dodgers' prized arm fared well in his first start after being called up Thursday. A wild pickoff throw and four walks were the only blemishes on an otherwise solid pitching line. The 20-year-old was pulled after 90 pitches, a limit he likely won't exceed often due to his age and the club's plan to limit his usage this season. Manager Dave Roberts did say that Urias was here to stay, so he is worth adding in almost any format where he is still available due to his extremely high ceiling. His next turn in the rotation will come against these very same Giants next Wednesday.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Notches second victory in night game of twin bill
Wainwright (2-3) gave up four earned runs on nine hits and a walk over 6.1 innings in Thursday's 6-4 victory over the Blue Jays in the nightcap of a doubleheader.
Wainwright hit the 100-pitch mark for the second straight start while going the longest he had in any of his five starts. It was the veteran righty's second consecutive win as well, and he's now lowered his ERA from 7.24 to 6.12 during that stretch. The 35-year-old right-hander pitched to plenty of contact -- notching only five swinging strikes -- but turned in another solid effort after a couple of shaky appearances earlier in April. He'll look to continue the positive momentum in a home start against the potent Brewers offense next Tuesday.

Sammy Solis SP | SD
Nationals' Sammy Solis: Still dealing with nerve irritation
Solis (elbow) attempted to play catch this week but was still experiencing nerve trouble in his throwing arm, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
There seems to be no chance Solis will be activated from the DL when first eligible Saturday, and until he's able to throw a ball without irritating the nerve and feeling tingling in his pitching hand, his timetable will remain cloudy.

Taijuan Walker SP | LAA
Diamondbacks' Taijuan Walker: Whiffs 11 batters in eight innings
Walker (3-1) covered eight innings and struck out 11 batters while giving up two runs on four hits and no walks in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Padres.
It was the best outing of the season for Walker, who overcame a difficult first inning to make life difficult for the San Diego bats the rest of the evening. He retired 12 of the subsequent 13 Padres hitters before surrendering a solo homer to Ryan Schmipf in the seventh inning, and finished the start out on a high note. Walker owns a pedestrian 3.94 ERA over five starts this season, but a 33:7 K:BB and 2.97 FIP over his 29.2 innings suggests that some improvement should be in store for him.

Carlos Martinez SP | SF
Cardinals' Carlos Martinez: Fans eight Blue Jays in no-decision
Martinez allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out eight batters during Thursday afternoon's win over Toronto.
It's been an up-and-down start to the season for Martinez, as he's mixed in two poor outings (against the Brewers and Reds) with three strong performances. He's currently sporting a 4.71 ERA and 1.47 WHIP with an unsustainably high 12.2 K/9. Expect all three ratios to begin dropping as he becomes more consistent on the hill and settles into the season. This could prove to be a profitable buy-low opportunity, too. Martinez lines up to face the Brewers next.

Antonio Senzatela RP | MIL
Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Turns in respectable outing despite loss
Senzatela (3-1) allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out a single batter over six innings during Thursday's loss to Washington.
The Nationals scored 42 runs over the past three games in Coors Field, so Senzatela limiting them to four over six innings should probably be viewed as a respectable showing. His hitter-friendly home venue is going to be a concern all season, but Senzatela currently sports a solid 2.81 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 18 strikeouts over 32 innings. He has an easier matchup up next with a road start against the Padres.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Candidate to fill long relief role upon return
Hill (finger) could pitch out of the bullpen when he's activated from the disabled list, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Manager Dave Roberts seems inclined to keep Alex Wood in the rotation following his excellent outing Wednesday, which could leave Hill out of the rotation for a bit if all else stays the same. Things could change in the meantime, but Hill's value would diminish significantly if he isn't starting ballgames, so monitor this situation as the veteran lefty nears a return to action.

Alex Wood RP | ATH
Dodgers' Alex Wood: Set to remain in rotation
Wood will make his next scheduled start rather than returning to a bullpen role, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Wednesday's dominant performance apparently opened some eyes in the organization, as the southpaw now seems to be in line to maintain a rotation spot until further notice. It's unclear who gets the hook once Rich Hill (finger) returns from the disabled list, although manager Dave Roberts did note that Hill could head to the bullpen upon activation. Nonetheless, Wood appears to be in line to make his next start Tuesday against the Giants.
