Hunter Greene SP | CIN
Reds' Hunter Greene: Throws seven scoreless in win
Greene (7-4) earned the win against Atlanta on Monday, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out seven over seven scoreless innings.
Greene didn't allow an extra-base hit and cruised to his second consecutive win and third straight quality start. The 24-year-old has been dominant in July, yielding just one run in 20 innings with 24 strikeouts. On the season, he owns a 3.14 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 133:48 K:BB across 117.1 innings and lines up for a road matchup with the Rays this weekend.

Reynaldo Lopez RP | ATL
Braves' Reynaldo Lopez: Allows four runs in loss
Lopez (7-4) took the loss against the Reds on Monday, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks with five strikeouts over six innings.
Lopez allowed more than three earned runs for the first time all season in his second consecutive loss. He generated 13 swinging strikes on 85 pitches but also yielded nine hard-hit balls and saw his ERA rise above 2.00 for the first time this year. The 30-year-old still leads all starting pitchers with a 2.12 ERA to go along with a 1.19 WHIP and 100:36 K:BB across 101.2 innings. He will try to rebound in a road matchup with the Mets this weekend.

Yonny Chirinos SP | MIA
Marlins' Yonny Chirinos: Roughed up in loss
Chirinos (0-2) took the loss Monday against the Mets, allowing five earned runs on nine hits and four walks while striking out four in five innings.
Chirinos was hoping to rebound after a brutal start his last time out in which he allowed three long balls and seven earned runs, but Monday's outing wasn't much better as the right-hander yielded two more home runs. The 30-year-old has failed to find his footing in 2024, logging a dismal 6.30 ERA and 1.87 WHIP with a 25:13 K:BB in 30 innings. The right-hander will not be a recommended fantasy option for his next start, currently scheduled for this weekend in Milwaukee.

David Peterson SP | NYM
Mets' David Peterson: Notches fifth win
Peterson (5-0) picked up the win Monday against Miami, allowing two earned runs on six hits and four walks in five innings. He struck out four.
Peterson wasn't flashy, but he allowed two earned runs or fewer in a sixth consecutive start, logging a 2.53 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and a 30:18 K:BB in 32 innings during that stretch. The southpaw's poor 36:23 K:BB in 48.2 innings limits his upside, but he has been solid for the Mets this season with a 3.14 ERA. He will look to keep rolling his next time out, a start which is tentatively scheduled for this weekend against Atlanta.

Robbie Ray SP | SF
Giants' Robbie Ray: Making team debut Wednesday
Ray (elbow) will be activated from the 60-day injured list to start Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
As expected, Ray has been cleared to return during San Francisco's upcoming series against the Dodgers after completing his recovery from Tommy John surgery. He may face some limitations during his first big-league start since March 2023, though he tossed 78 pitches and worked into the sixth inning during his final rehab outing Friday for Triple-A Sacramento.

Keaton Winn RP | SF
Giants' Keaton Winn: Shut down from throwing
Winn (elbow) has been shut down from throwing after experiencing discomfort in his elbow over the weekend, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Winn has been out since June 22 with a nerve issue in his right elbow and he appears to have suffered a setback in his recovery. The timeline for the right-hander's return is unclear at this point and with just over two months remaining in the season, it's possible that the Giants could opt to shut him down completely if his issues persist.

Hayden Birdsong P | SF
Giants' Hayden Birdsong: Moving to minors
Birdsong was optioned to Single-A San Jose on Monday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Birdsong put together a stellar start Sunday against the Rockies, fanning 12 while allowing two runs over six frames, but he'll return to the minor leagues for now. Slusser notes that the right-hander's assignment to the affiliate geographically closest to San Francisco likely means he'll be back with the big-league club as the 27th man for Saturday's doubleheader against the Rockies. The impending return of Alex Cobb (hip) and Robbie Ray (elbow) could squeeze the rookie out of the Giants' rotation plans after this weekend, however.

Bobby Miller SP | LAD
Dodgers' Bobby Miller: Hanging around Triple-A
Miller is expected to make at least one more start with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Miller was optioned to Triple-A on July 10 after struggling to a 9.87 ERA over four starts following a two-month stretch on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation. The 25-year-old threw five scoreless innings against Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday, allowing three hits and four walks while striking out four batters. It's unclear how long Miller could remain in the minors, but manager Dave Roberts said Monday that Miller would return to the major-league roster at some point. "I don't know when, but we are counting on it," Roberts said.

Walker Buehler SP | SD
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Tossing bullpen Monday
Buehler (hip) will throw a bullpen session Monday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Manager Dave Roberts said he had a positive conversation with Buehler following his time away from the club while on the mend from right hip inflammation. While there's no set plan for the next steps in Buehler's recovery, the right-hander is expected to make a couple rehab starts following Monday's side session.

Jared Jones SP | PIT
Pirates' Jared Jones: Plays catch Monday
Jones (lat) threw off flat ground up to 120 feet Monday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Jones has started up a throwing progression just under three weeks after landing on the injured list with a Grade 2 right lat strain. While it's encouraging sign that the 22-year-old is throwing again, Jones is likely to be ramped up slowly and deliberately with his long-term health in mind. A clearer target date for Jones' return from the IL probably won't be known until he reaches the point in his rehab where he's facing hitters, but fantasy managers should prepare for his absence to stretch into August, at the very least.
