Imanaga has been diagnosed with a mild left hamstring strain that is expected to hold him out for more than two weeks, Bruce Levine of 670TheScore.com reports.

This update likely means that Imanaga will miss more than the minimum while on the injured list. Manager Craig Counsell stated that the two-week timeline was set as a precaution, so it doesn't appear that the club is in any hurry to rush the southpaw back into action. After departing his April 29 outing due to taking a comebacker off his right elbow, Smith-Shawver showed no ill effects in this 99-pitch performance. The 22-year-old carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning until Santiago Espinal opened the frame with a single. Smith-Shawver now sports a 3.00 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 27:13 K:BB across 27 innings. Singer (4-2) took the loss Monday at Atlanta, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out two.

The Cincinnati right-hander generated just three whiffs in this 102-pitch outing, as he notched a season-low two Ks. Singer coughed up all four runs in the third inning, capped by a Matt Olson inside-the-park home run. Through 39.1 innings, Singer has pitched to a 3.66 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 38:14 K:BB. The 28-year-old is currently scheduled to make his next start at Houston this weekend.

Ortiz will not start Monday after the Guardians' matchup with the Nationals was postponed due to inclement weather, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Ortiz was slated to draw the start in Monday's series opener against Washington, but he's now scheduled to take the mound for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader, per Tim Stebbins of MLB.com. The right-hander has produced a 4.78 ERA and 1.41 WHIP with 36 strikeouts over 32 innings in six starts this season and he went 6.1 scoreless frames in his last outing against the Twins on Wednesday.

Irvin won't make his scheduled start Monday against the Guardians after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Irvin has been named the starter for Game 1 of his team's doubleheader Tuesday following the announcement that Monday's game has been postponed. He'll look to bounce back from his worst outing of the 2025 season, surrendering six runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out two over six innings against the Phillies on Wednesday.

Burnes (shoulder) threw on flat ground Monday, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

Burnes is not making his scheduled start Monday against the Mets after experiencing fatigue in his right shoulder over his past two outings. It's the first time he's missed a start since he entered the rotation on a full-time basis in 2020. However, Burnes' session of catch Monday appeared to go well, and he and the Diamondbacks remain optimistic he can avoid the 15-day injured list and start this weekend versus the Dodgers.

Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Monday that Horton is a possibility to enter the rotation in place of the injured Shota Imanaga (hamstring), Tony Andracki of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Counsell also mentioned Chris Flexen as an option, and Flexen could be the favorite to draw a start this weekend against the Mets since he's already on the 26-man and 40-man rosters, while Horton is not. However, Horton has put himself in the conversation by posting a 1.24 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 33:13 K:BB over 29 innings at Triple-A Iowa this season. Imanaga will miss at least two starts after landing on the 15-day injured list Monday.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that Peralta (groin) hasn't undergone imaging, but the pitcher could be given "a day or two" of extra rest before his next start, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Peralta was lifted early from Sunday's start versus the Cubs due to groin soreness. A team off day Thursday affords Peralta with at least one day of extra rest, and the Brewers could give him an additional day by having Tobias Myers start Saturday on normal rest and giving Peralta the ball Sunday in Tampa Bay. More information on Peralta's status should be available later this week.
