Imai (4-3) earned the win against the Guardians on Friday, allowing three runs on six hits and no walks with 11 strikeouts over six innings.

Imai allowed three runs in the third inning but was otherwise as good as he's been in an Astros uniform, registering a season-high 11 punchouts while not issuing a walk for just the second time in 10 contests. He leaned heavily on his slider, generating a whopping 17 of his 20 swinging strikes on the pitch while throwing it 57 percent of the time. The 28-year-old still owns an ugly 6.15 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 48:24 K:BB across 41 innings this season and will try to build on this performance in a road matchup against the Tigers next week.

Soroka was removed from Friday's game against the Twins with posterior left hip discomfort.

Soroka gave up two hits in a scoreless first inning Friday but felt something while warming up for the second and was taken out of the game. It's unclear whether his injury will prevent him from making his next start, but the D-backs should provide an update on his status in the near future.

Perez (6-3) earned the win against the Brewers on Friday, allowing one run on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts over six innings.

Perez allowed a run in the third inning but was otherwise strong, throwing 53 of 82 pitches for strikes and generating 10 whiffs. It marked just the second quality start of the year for the veteran southpaw, though he has now won four straight while allowing three earned runs or fewer in five consecutive outings. He'll take a 2.78 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 56:23 K:BB across 68 innings into a road matchup against the Padres next week.

Misiorowski (8-3) took the loss against Atlanta on Friday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with seven strikeouts over six innings.

Misiorowski opened with five scoreless frames before running into trouble in the sixth, loading the bases and eventually allowing two runs on a two-out single. While it marked the first time since April 25 that he surrendered more than one earned run in an outing, the 24-year-old still extended his quality-start streak to eight games. He'll carry a 1.45 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 138:23 K:BB across 93 innings this season into a home matchup with the Cubs next weekend.

Rodriguez (back) recently underwent an MRI that came back clean, per MLB.com.

The imaging brought promising news for the right-handed hurler, and he was able to play catch June 16. That was just two days after Rodriguez had to depart his start against Tampa Bay after feeling tightness in his back. It's not clear how long Rodriguez will be sidelined, but early indications are that he may not need much more than the minimum 15 days required by his IL stint.

Javier (shoulder) will make another appearance Sunday for Triple-A Sugar Land in what should be his final rehab start, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Javier only made three appearances for Houston before being placed on the injured list April 10. Houston believes this upcoming rehab start should be the 29-year-old's final one, so it seems the right-hander is close to being back with the big-league club after missing over two months of action.

Fried (elbow) will throw a bullpen session this weekend, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Fried has been out of action since mid-May due to a left elbow bone bruise. The southpaw was cleared to throw off a mound about a month later, and he tossed his first bullpen June 16. MLB.com reports that Fried's next bullpen will take place Sunday and that the veteran pitcher is currently asymptomatic. If he continues to progress without any setbacks, Fried could rejoin New York's rotation at some point in July.

Schmidt (elbow) tossed a side session Wednesday and is "a couple of weeks" away from facing live hitters, per MLB.com.

Schmidt is now almost a year out from the internal brace procedure he underwent last July. The veteran hurler began throwing from a mound in early April but has been limited to side sessions so far. If he continues his throwing program and is able to face hitters in late June or early July, Schmidt could be ready for game action at some point in August.

Giants manager Tony Vitello said Friday that Mahle (hamstring) will rejoin the rotation Wednesday against the Athletics, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Mahle was wild in his first and only rehab start with Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday in issuing five walks over three innings, but he managed to escape with only one run allowed. The right-hander threw 63 pitches in the outing, so he will not be available for a full workload versus the A's. Vitello declined to reveal whose rotation spot Mahle will be taking, but it will likely be either Trevor McDonald or Adrian Houser getting the boot.

The Brewers announced that Woodruff (shoulder) will return to the pitching rotation during next week's series against Cincinnati, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Woodruff will finally make his return to the big-league mound for the first time since the end of April. The 33-year-old most recently completed a rehab start Tuesday, allowing three runs over 5.1 innings while striking out six batters. Before going on the injured list, the right-hander posted a 3.60 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 25:7 K:BB in 30 innings.
