Canning did not factor into the decision Saturday against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out six.

Canning was able to keep Toronto off the board through four innings, though he'd allow back-to-back singles to start the fifth before leaving the game after throwing 89 pitches. It's been a generally positive start to the year for the right-hander, who's allowed three runs while striking out 10 across 9.2 innings in his first two starts. Canning is currently scheduled to face the A's on the road in his next outing.

Sugano (1-1) allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk while striking out four across 5.1 innings to earn the win Saturday against the Royals.

Sugano had a shaky MLB debut that ended early due to cramps, but he managed to bounce back Saturday to earn his first MLB win. He began 17 of the 23 batters he faced with a strike and induced several softly hit flyballs for easy outs. Unsurprisingly, Sugano hasn't showcased overpowering stuff early in his big-league sample, but he has been capable of limiting runs and should be in line for plenty of wins with the support of the Baltimore offense.

Bassitt did not factor into the decision Saturday against the Mets, allowing four hits over 6.2 scoreless innings. He struck out nine.

Bassitt was stellar Saturday, keeping a potent Mets lineup off the board into the seventh inning. However, the Blue Jays bullpen was unable to hold a 2-0 lead, leaving Bassitt with a no-decision in an eventual 3-2 loss. It's been an excellent start to the year for Bassitt, who has allowed just one run while striking out 16 in his first 12.2 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week in Boston.

Smith-Shawver (0-2) took the loss Saturday against the Marlins, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out six.

Smith-Shawver has displayed impressive swing-and-miss stuff to start the year, totaling 24 whiffs through his first two starts. However, it's yet to yield complete results for the young right-hander, as he's allowed five runs while posting a 2.19 WHIP across 8.2 innings to start the year. Smith-Shawver will look to turn things around in his next outing, which currently lines up as a tough home matchup with the Phillies.

Quantrill (1-1) earned the win Saturday in Atlanta, allowing four hits while striking out four over five scoreless innings.

It was a strong bounce-back effort from Quantrill, who gave up six runs in four innings during his first 2025 start against the Mets. The 30-year-old right-hander should hold down a spot at the back end of Miami's rotation after pitching to a 4.98 ERA with a 1.52 WHIP and 110:69 K:BB across 29 regular-season starts (148.1 innings) with the Guardians last year.

Soto threw four scoreless innings with five strikeouts and three walks Friday in his first start for High-A Cedar Rapids.

A 2024 first-round pick out of high school, Soto had a 26.7% strikeout rate but a 5.23 ERA (though 3.42 FIP) as an 18-year-old at Low-A Fort Myers last year. He had a 10.5% walk rate, so he'll need better control as he advances through the minors. However, he's shown a lot of promise at a young age versus his competition level.

Rodriguez (0-2) took the loss Saturday against Cincinnati, allowing seven runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two.

It was a brutal night for Rodriguez, who surrendered four home runs in the loss. Through two starts, the right-hander has given up 11 earned runs on 14 hits across nine innings. Rodriguez figures to head to the bullpen or the minors as soon as the Brewers can return any of their six starters that are currently on the injured list.

Singer (2-0) earned the win Saturday over the Brewers, allowing five runs (three earned) on nine hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out seven.

Singer held Milwaukee scoreless through three innings before coughing up five runs in his final two frames. However, the Reds' offense provided more than enough run support in an eventual 11-7 victory. The 28-year-old Singer has won his first two starts with Cincinnati, allowing three earned runs while striking out 15 through 12 innings. He's currently lined up to face the Pirates at home in his next outing.

Falter (0-1) took the loss against the Yankees on Saturday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts over four innings.

Falter entered the fifth inning with a 4-1 lead but was unable to record an out, ultimately surrendering six runs in the frame. Despite generating 14 swinging strikes on 88 pitches, the southpaw was tagged for two home runs by Trent Grisham. Falter will take an ugly 8.10 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 9:1 K:BB across 10 innings into a road matchup with the Reds next weekend.

Stroman did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 10-4 win over the Pirates, allowing four runs on three hits and three walks with three strikeouts over four innings.

Stroman was pulled after a rough fourth inning, during which he walked three batters and gave up four runs. He generated only five whiffs on 74 pitches and didn't stick around long enough to benefit from a six-run outburst by the Yankees in the fifth frame. The 33-year-old owns a 7.27 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 6:4 K:BB across 8.2 innings and lines up to face the Giants next weekend.
