Gray didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Blue Jays, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out four.

It was a shaky start to the day for Gray, who allowed a run in each of the first two innings, but he settled in and blanked Toronto until Nathan Lukes added a solo homer in the seventh. Gray has now turned in quality starts in six of his last seven outings, posting a 3.06 ERA in that span (35.1 innings). Overall, his ERA sits at 3.12 through 13 starts (69.1 innings) this season with a 1.18 WHIP and 55:17 K:BB. Gray is currently lined up to face the Rockies on the road his next time out.

Yesavage didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Red Sox, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks over 7.1 innings. He struck out six.

Yesavage was stellar through much of the contest, as he held Boston to just one hit through six scoreless innings. However, the right-hander allowed a run in the seventh before the Red Sox tied the game with back-to-back home runs to open the eighth. Despite the tough finish, it was a positive outing overall for the 22-year-old, who had given up 11 runs in 10.2 innings while issuing eight walks in his previous two starts. Overall, he has a 3-3 record with a 3.76 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 53:25 K:BB across 10 starts (55 innings) this season. Yesavage is currently slated to face the Astros at home his next time out.

Double-A Northwest Arkansas transferred Lamkin from the 7-day injured list to the 60-day IL on June 10 while he recovers from an unspecified injury.

As a result of the transaction, Lamkin will remain out through at least the All-Star break. The 22-year-old lefty had been climbing up prospect lists after a hot start to the season, compiling a 2.04 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 53:14 K:BB in 39.2 innings over eight starts between Northwest Arkansas and High-A Quad Cities before being deactivated in late May.

Burke will be used in a bulk-relief role Thursday against the Yankees.

The White Sox are going with the left-handed Bryan Hudson as an opener before turning to a righty in Burke. The 26-year-old has fared quite well this season when used in a bulk-relief role, collecting a 2.04 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 18:5 K:BB over 17.2 frames.

Perez won't pitch against the Giants on Thursday, as the game was postponed due to rain.

Thursday's contest has been rescheduled for Aug. 31, and it's likely that Perez's next start will now come Friday against Milwaukee. The 35-year-old has been fairly consistent all season, pitching to a 2.90 ERA and 1.05 WHIP across 14 appearances (10 starts), and he's recorded a win in each of his last three outings.

Roupp and the Giants won't face Atlanta on Thursday, as the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

Thursday's game will be pushed back to Aug. 31; meanwhile, Roupp's next start is likely to come Friday during San Francisco's series opener in Miami. The 27-year-old has struggled since the beginning of June, giving up four or more runs in two of his three starts this month while failing to make it through the fifth inning on both occasions.

Ray (5-6) took the win in the resumption of Tuesday's game against Atlanta on Wednesday, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out eight across 6.1 scoreless innings in a 7-2 victory.

Adrian Houser started the contest Tuesday before it was suspended by inclement weather and resumed Wednesday. Ray entered in the second inning with a 3-2 lead and never let it go, recording his second win in his last three appearances. The 34-year-old southpaw struck out a season-high eight batters. He now owns a 4.07 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 74:38 K:BB across 79.2 innings in 15 outings.

Ober (elbow) is optimistic about throwing off the mound this weekend, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

It would be the first time he's thrown from the bump since he was diagnosed with a right flexor strain at the beginning of June. Ober has been shelved for less than three weeks, so it shouldn't take him too long to get built back up once he does resume throwing off the mound. He's collected a 4.59 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 46:18 K:BB over 66.2 innings this season.

Priester will undergo thoracic outlet compression surgery on Monday and is expected to be sidelined 8-to-10 months, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Priester has dealt with thoracic outlet symptoms since last season, and he attempted unsuccessfully to treat it with rest and rehab. After consulting with Dr. Gregory Pearl on Tuesday, the decision was made to have surgery. Priester expects to be ready to go for the beginning of next season, but the track record of pitchers coming back from this type of procedure isn't great.

Junk (shin) was able to throw a light bullpen session earlier this week and could throw a higher-intensity side session in the coming days, MLB.com reports.

Once Junk incorporates all of his pitches in a full-intensity session, he'll move on to facing hitters before eventually heading out on a rehab assignment. After landing on the 15-day injured list May 31 due to right shin bone inflammation, Junk appears to be tracking for a late-June or early-July return from the shelf.
