Meyer registered a 5.18 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 42:32 K:BB in 40 innings across 11 appearances for High-A Beloit.

Meyer was the consensus top prep righty in last year's draft, and it's an accomplishment for him to have logged 74 innings this season while climbing to High-A as a 19-year-old. However, his 16.3 percent walk rate at Single-A and 17.9 percent walk rate at High-A are dangerously high marks, even given his youth. He walked between two and five batters while never logging more than five innings over his last 10 starts. Meyer's got very strong stuff, but his control isn't ready for the upper levels.

Bido (wrist) is with the Athletics but has yet to begin playing catch since going on the IL last Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Bido had been dealing with the wrist issue for several starts before finally getting to the point where he was having difficulty gripping the ball, so his recovery could potentially carry through the end of the regular season. Manager Mark Kotsay remains hopeful the promising right-hander will be able to make it back for at least one more start, yet time is working against Bido at this point with less than two weeks remaining in the 2024 campaign.

Stripling (back) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Wednesday and another several days after, MLB.com reports.

The veteran right-hander has been on the injured list since last Tuesday with a lower-back strain, and Wednesday will mark the first time he'll attempt to do any throwing since that point. If all goes well with the session, Stripling is slated to repeat the process at some point after the Athletics begin a homestand Friday against the Yankees. Despite the recent developments, a return for Stripling before the end of the regular season isn't a certainty in the view of manager Mark Kotsay, per the Associated Press.

Manaea came away with a no-decision in Monday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Nationals, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out six.

The veteran lefty was impressive once again as he delivered his sixth quality start in his last seven trips to the mound, but Manaea was actually in line for the loss until the Mets finally got on the board in the eighth inning. Over his last 10 outings, Manaea has posted a dazzling 2.49 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 76:16 K:BB through 65 innings, but he's had to settle for a no-decision in three straight starts. He'll try to get back in the win column in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Phillies.

Irvin came away with a no-decision in Monday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Mets, allowing one run on four hits and a walk through 7.1 innings. He struck out five.

The righty put together his second straight quality start and 16th of the season on 94 pitches (65 strikes), and Irvin took a shutout into the eighth inning before New York finally broke through. Irvin has had a bumpy finish to the campaign, giving up at least four runs in five of nine outings since the beginning of August while posting a 5.65 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 39:15 K:BB through 51 innings. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which lines up to come on the road this weekend against the Cubs.

Boyd escaped with a no-decision in Monday's 4-3 win over the Twins, giving up three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks over 2.2 innings. He struck out five.

The veteran southpaw got the hook after 64 pitches (39 strikes) when four straight batters reached base in the third inning thanks to two walks and two hard-hit singles. Boyd has failed to last five innings in either of his last two outings, but he still has yet to allow more than three earned runs in any of his seven starts since joining the Guardians' rotation, delivering a 2.52 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 40:10 K:BB through 35.2 innings. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road this weekend in St. Louis.

Lopez came away with a no-decision in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Guardians, giving up two runs on eight hits and two walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out four.

The right-hander got staked to a 3-0 lead in the third inning and left the mound with the Twins still ahead, but Griffin Jax melted down in the eighth to deny Lopez his 16th win of the year. The quality start was Lopez's 18th of the season and seventh straight, a stretch in which he's posted a 1.35 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 43:8 K:BB through 46.2 innings. He lines up for his next outing this weekend in Boston as Minnesota tries to hang onto a wild-card spot in the American League.

Burke is scheduled to start Sunday's game against the Padres in San Diego.

The rookie right-hander will receive a second turn through the White Sox rotation after he impressed in his first MLB start this past Sunday, holding the Athletics to two runs and striking out five over five innings en route to grabbing the win. For his second start, Burke will get a tough test against a Padres lineup that has produced a 117 wRC+ against right-handed pitching this season.

Green (elbow) is expected to throw a live batting practice session Tuesday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Green reported feeling good following a similar throwing session last week. It's possible he returns in time to make two starts before the end of the season.

Arrighetti (7-13) allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out three over five innings, taking the loss versus the Padres on Monday.

Arrighetti allowed an RBI double to Manny Machado in the first inning and a solo home run to Jackson Merrill in the fourth. This was Arrighetti's third straight outing without a win, though he's limited opponents to two runs or fewer in four of his last five starts. The rookie right-hander is now at a 4.68 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 161:62 K:BB through 136.2 innings over 27 starts. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Angels.
