Silseth (elbow) tossed 25-pitch bullpen sessions May 17 and May 20, MLB.com reports.

Silseth has been gradually progressing from the right elbow inflammation that he initially felt in a start against Boston on April 7. The right-hander was moved to the 60-day injured list April 30 and isn't eligible to be activated until June 7. Given the length of his layoff, Silseth will almost certainly need multiple minor-league rehab appearances before he's ready to return to the Angels rotation.

Quantrill (4-3) allowed two runs on three hits and two walks over six innings Sunday, striking out five and earning a win over the Phillies.

Quantrill held the Phillies off the scoreboard through three frames before giving up a run in each of the fourth and fifth innings. He forced 18 whiffs, blowing by his previous season high of 12. Quantrill produced his fifth straight quality start, going 4-0 with a 1.71 ERA during that span. Prior to this hot streak, he was 0-3 with a 5.34 ERA to begin the year. Quantrill now owns a 3.53 ERA and a 49:23 K:BB through 63.2 innings. He's now in line for a tough road matchup with the Dodgers next weekend.

Suarez (9-1) yielded five runs (four earned) on three hits and four walks over six innings Sunday, striking out nine and taking a loss against the Rockies.

Colorado pounced on Suarez early, plating two runs in the first inning and another three in the second. He was able to settle in for four shutout frames to finish the start, but the damage was already done. It was the first time this season he's issued more than two walks or allowed more than three runs. On a more positive note, Suarez generated a season-high 19 whiffs and improved his K:BB to 77:16 through 72 frames. He'll carry a 1.75 ERA into his next matchup, which is lined up to be at home against the Cardinals.

Brooks (0-2) allowed five runs (one earned) on nine hits and three walks over 4.1 innings Sunday, striking out one and taking a loss against Houston.

Brooks worked around some danger in each of the first three innings without allowing a run before the Astros broke out for five runs in the fourth. Fortunately for him, only one run was earned before a throwing error by Max Schuemann. Brooks fired a quality start in each of his first two MLB appearances this season but needed 90 pitches to get through 4.1 innings Sunday. He now owns a 3.63 ERA with a 9:5 K:BB through 17.1 innings. Brooks' next start is lined up to be in Atlanta next weekend.

Blanco (5-0) allowed a run on four hits and a walk over seven innings Sunday, striking out six and earning a win over the Athletics.

Blanco fired five scoreless frames before coughing up a solo shot to Max Schuemann in the sixth inning. It was Blanco's first start since May 14 after serving a suspension for using a foreign substance. He forced 17 swinging strikes, including seven with his slider. It was the third time in nine starts that he's reached that number. Blanco lowered his ERA to a stellar 1.99 with a 51:22 K:BB through 54.1 frames. His next start is projected to be at home against the Twins.

McDonald (groin) has turned in a 5.79 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 4:2 K:BB in 4.2 innings through four rehab outings in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

McDonald has resided on Double-A Richmond's 7-day injured list all season while healing up from a groin injury, but he may not be far away from making his 2024 debut for the Giants' Eastern League affiliate. He's yet to pitch at the Double-A level but was dominant during his time at High-A Eugene in 2023, pitching to a 0.96 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 39:8 K:BB in 37.2 innings.

Bednar (back) has struck out 11 while allowing two earned runs on six hits and one walk across eight innings over four rehab outings with Single-A Fresno.

Bednar remains on High-A Eugene's 7-day injured list, but he looks to be on the cusp of rejoining the Giants' Northwest League affiliate while he's been pitching well during his rehab assignment. He's worked exactly two innings in all four of his rehab outings, and the Giants will likely look to monitor Bednar's workload closely once he reports to Eugene while he's been set back by numerous injuries since being selected in the first round of the 2021 First-Year Player Draft.

Corbin pitched six innings Sunday against Seattle, yielding three earned runs on four hits and two walks. He struck out four and did not factor into the decision.

Corbin managed to log his second quality start of the season Sunday, rebounding from his previous outing where he allowed eight earned runs. Even in tonight's quality start, Corbin allowed two home runs and has now allowed five home runs in his last two starts. Corbin (1-5) has been wildly inconsistent all season, posting a 6.12 ERA and 1.69 WHIP across 60.1 innings. His next start is tentatively scheduled for next weekend in Cleveland.

Woo did not factor into the decision Sunday against Washington, allowing three earned runs on five hits and zero walks over six innings. He struck out one.

Woo finally showed some signs of weakness Sunday, surrendering his first home run of the season and allowing a season-high three earned runs. Even so, the 24-year-old needed just 70 pitches to notch his second consecutive quality start. Despite not topping 80 pitches in any outing this season, Woo sits at 2-0 with a sparkling 1.66 ERA and 0.60 WHIP in 21.2 innings this season. He is tentatively scheduled to start Friday's game against the Angels.

Costeiu (elbow) has given up two earned runs on one hit and five walks while striking out five over 6.1 innings in two appearances for High-A Tri-City since returning from the 7-day injured list May 14.

Costeiu missed the first month of the minor-league season while completing his recovery from right elbow surgery. The 23-year-old right-hander made one rehab appearance in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on May 6 before he was advanced to the Northwest League.
