  • Bryan Woo SP | SEA

Mariners' Bryan Woo: Turns in quality start

Woo allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings, taking a no-decision in Monday's 6-5 win over the Giants.

Woo pitched well and completed six innings for the first time, earning his first quality start. The right-hander has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last five starts, though he has just one win to show for it. He's at a 4.08 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 39:8 K:BB through 28.2 innings over six career starts. He's in line for one more start before the All-Star break, a weekend road outing versus the Astros.

  • Domingo German SP | PIT

Yankees' Domingo German: Gets hook in fifth inning

German allowed three runs (two earned) on nine hits and no walks while striking out five batters over 4.1 innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Monday.

In his first start since tossing the 24th perfect game in MLB history last Wednesday, German gave up a season-high nine hits. Only one of those (a double) went for extra bases, but the Orioles generated constant enough traffic to make German labor, and the right-hander exited with 86 pitches on his ledger following back-to-back Baltimore singles with one out in the fifth frame. Though the brilliance of German's perfecto will understandably linger for some time, fantasy managers should note that the hurler has otherwise struggled of late, failing to complete five innings in three of his past four starts and posting an 8.20 ERA (even including the perfect game) over 18.2 innings during that span.

  • Miles Mikolas RP | WAS

Cardinals' Miles Mikolas: Tagged with four runs

Mikolas yielded four runs on four hits and two walks over 6.1 innings in Monday's loss to Miami. He struck out two and did not factor in the decision.

Mikolas looked solid after coughing up two runs in the opening frame until the Marlins tagged him with two more in the seventh inning. He's given up at least four runs in four of his last five appearances, raising his season ERA to 4.51 through 105.2 innings. Mikolas is 0-3 during that stretch and hasn't won since May 30. His next outing is lined up to be on the road against the White Sox this weekend.

  • Marlins' Braxton Garrett: Fans six in no-decision

Garrett allowed three runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings in Monday's win over St. Louis. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.

The Cardinals chipped away at Garrett throughout the contest, scoring one run in each of the second, third and sixth innings. It was his first time allowing more than one earned run since June 5, but he's given up three or fewer runs in nine of his last 10 starts. The 25-year-old lefty now owns a 3.61 ERA with an impressive 98:15 K:BB through 87.1 frames. Garrett's next start is projected to be at home this weekend against the Phillies.

  • Jake Irvin SP | WAS

Nationals' Jake Irvin: Takes fifth loss

Irvin (1-5) yielded three runs on six hits and a walk over six innings Monday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Reds.

Most of the damage against Irvin came in the fourth inning on Joey Votto's two-run shot. After posting a 5.67 ERA through his first six outings, Irvin owns a 3.71 ERA since the start of June. However, he's lost five straight decisions since his last win May 8. Irvin will carry a 4.70 ERA into his next outing, which is projected to be at home against the Rangers this weekend.

  • Giants' Anthony DeSclafani: Placed on 15-day IL

DeSclafani landed on the 15-day injured list Monday with right shoulder fatigue, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.

DeSclafani was lifted from Sunday's start against the Mets after throwing only 55 pitches, and this move will get the right-hander some rest going into the All-Star break. Mike Yastrzemski (hamstring) was activated from the 10-day injured list to take DeSclafani's place.

  • Gavin Stone SP | LAD

Dodgers' Gavin Stone: Back with big-league club

Stone was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Stone will get the call to the big-league squad to give Los Angeles a fresh arm after Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) was sent to the 15-day injured list. Stone has gotten roughed up through three starts so far this season (14.40 ERA and 3.00 WHIP with a 5:7 K:BB across 10 frames), though he's drawn tough opponents in Philadelphia, Atlanta and Tampa Bay. The right-hander is expected to be available in long relief Monday night in the event Michael Grove struggles.

  • Dodgers' Michael Grove: Recalled and starting Monday

Grove has been recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Monday's game against the Pirates, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Grove will get the nod in the series opener after the Dodgers confirmed that Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) would require a stint on the 15-day injured list. The right-hander recently toed the rubber June 28 in Colorado, surrendering four runs on eight hits and two walks while fanning three over five innings.

  • Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Sent to 15-day IL

Kershaw was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday with left shoulder inflammation, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Kershaw was spotted playing catch in the outfield prior to Monday's contest, and the team announced shortly after that the southpaw will indeed require a trip to the injured list. With this news confirmed, Michael Grove has been recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City and will toe the rubber Monday night against the Pirates.

  • Bryce Miller SP | SEA

Mariners' Bryce Miller: Placed on IL with blister

Miller was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday with a right middle finger blister, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Miller had to depart his start last Friday against the Rays with the blister and had been looking iffy for his next scheduled outing. Given that, it makes sense to go ahead and put him on the IL with the All-Star break approaching. Miller will be eligible to return July 16 against the Tigers during the Mariners' first series of the second half.
