Soriano took a no-decision in Monday's 1-0 victory over the Yankees, allowing six hits and one walk over seven scoreless innings. He struck out six.

The Angels right-hander was masterful once again after fanning a season-high 12 in his last outing, as he scattered five singles and a double in this 101-pitch performance. Soriano flashed improved control in this start, breaking a stretch of seven consecutive starts issuing two or more free passes. Through 86.1 total frames, the 26-year-old has pitched to a 3.54 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 70:40 K:BB while conceding only three homers. Soriano is currently scheduled to make his next start at home against the Astros this weekend.

Walker threw a clean sixth inning, fanning one during Monday's 5-2 win over the Marlins.

Since moving to the bullpen for the second time this season, Walker has worked primarily as a middle reliever for the Phillies. The veteran right-hander has tossed a single inning in each of his last five outings, giving up two runs during that span. Through 11 frames (seven appearances) as a reliever this year, Walker owns a strong 3.27 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB with a save plus a hold.

Irvin settled for the no-decision after throwing six innings, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five during Monday's 6-4 loss to the Rockies.

Irvin delivered a quality start for the first time in his last four tries, a nice step in the right direction. He had a good three-start stretch prior to his cold streak, allowing just five runs over that time. The 28-year-old will need to cut down on the home runs after allowing another one Monday, now up to 13 total on the year in his 15 starts. The right-hander has a steep challenge ahead of him as he is lined up to face the Dodgers in his next start.

Abel (2-0) picked up the win Monday at Miami, allowing one run on three hits and one walk over five innings. He struck out three.

The rookie right-hander had no issues limiting a subpar Marlins offense, completing his five frames in a tidy 77 pitches, 50 of which were strikes. The only blemish on Abel's line came via a Connor Norby single in the second inning. Through his first 20.1 innings, Abel now sports a 2.21 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB. His 1.8 BB/9 in the majors so far is especially impressive given that he has pitched at 4.1 BB/9 in 57 innings at Triple-A this season. The 23-year-old lines up to make his next start at home against the Mets this weekend.

Alcantara (3-8) took the loss in Monday's game against the Phillies. He allowed two runs on five hits and one walk over five innings with five strikeouts.

Despite the loss, the Miami right-hander continued his recent string of solid performance in this 100-pitch outing. Alcantara held the Philadelphia lineup in check, as both runs he allowed came on solo homers -- one by Trea Turner in the first and the other by Max Kepler in the fourth. After opening the season with a ghastly 8.47 ERA through 51 innings, Alcantara has been significantly better over his last three starts, pitching to a 2.12 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 15:3 K:BB across 17 innings. He is currently slated to make his next start against Atlanta at home this weekend.

The Padres transferred Darvish (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.

The transaction won't affect Darvish's timeline for a return, as he's already spent more than two months on the shelf while waiting to make his 2025 debut for the Padres. The right-hander's move to the 60-day IL will clear a spot on the 40-man roster for outfielder Bryce Johnson, whose contract was selected from Triple-A El Paso. Darvish was able to make a rehab start with Triple-A El Paso on May 14, but after he experienced renewed soreness in his elbow coming out of that appearance, he was shut down from throwing for about two weeks. The veteran right-hander has since resumed ramping up again and most recently threw a 40-pitch simulated game Saturday, so he could soon be cleared to head back out on a rehab assignment. Darvish looks to be a candidate to return to the San Diego rotation in late June or early July.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said Monday that McClanahan (triceps) played catch from 100-plus feet last week, and the pitcher "says it's the best he's felt," Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.

McClanahan was shut down for a bit due to ongoing issues with his nerve-related triceps injury, but Cash seemed to offer a much more optimistic tone Monday when discussing the pitcher's progress. The southpaw will visit with Dr. Gregory J. Pearl, a nerve specialist, in Texas on Tuesday, and the Rays could provide more information regarding McClanahan's long-term outlook following that exam.

The Athletics activated Ginn (quad) from the 15-day injured list Monday.

Ginn missed almost a month of action with a strained quad. The Athletics have not revealed whether Ginn will rejoin the rotation or be used in the bullpen. The club has not announced starters beyond the firs game Monday of its four-game set against the Astros, so Ginn could theoretically slot into the rotation any of those days.

The Mariners activated Gilbert (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Monday.

He's set to make his long-awaited return to the Mariners' rotation Monday versus the Red Sox after missing nearly two months of action with a flexor strain. Gilbert threw 72 pitches across five scoreless innings during his final rehab start, so he should face only minor workload restrictions in his first outing back with the big club.

Brubaker (ribs) rejoined the Yankees on Monday after completing his rehab assignment, and manager Aaron Boone said that the right-hander is in line for "potential activation" from the 60-day injured list, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

Brubaker has yet to make his Yankees debut since being acquired from the Pirates in March 2024, as he was limited to a slew of minor-league rehab appearances last season while completing his recovery from April 2023 Tommy John surgery. The right-hander received a clean bill of health heading into spring training, but he fractured three of his ribs after being struck by a comebacker in late February and has spent the last three-plus months working his way back from the injury. Brubaker has finally reached the finish line in his recovery, and he closed out his extended rehab assignment in impressive fashion by allowing one earned run on no hits and two walks over five innings in his most recent outing with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday. Though Brubaker has been building up as a starter during his rehab, he may be more likely to work in long relief once the Yankees activate him within the next few days.
