Dobbins allowed four runs on five hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over four-plus innings in a no-decision against Baltimore in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday.

Dobbins yielded two runs in the first inning but got through the next three frames unscathed. The right-hander was pulled after allowing the first two batters he faced in the fifth to get a hit, and both runners came around to score after his departure. Dobbins didn't have a great final line, but he did notch an impressive 14 whiffs on just 72 pitches (51 strikes) while posting a career-best seven punchouts. While his ERA sits at a mediocre 4.21 on the campaign, Dobbins has shown flashes of excellence and holds a strong 32:6 K:BB through 36.1 innings. He's tentatively scheduled to face Atlanta on the road in his next start.

Double-A Wichita placed Prielipp on its development list Wednesday.

Prielipp has a lengthy injury history that includes a Tommy John surgery in 2021 and an internal brace surgery in 2023, so he'll be on a limited innings count in 2025. Wichita's decision to place him on the development list thus looks to be nothing more than a measure to keep his workload in check. Through 23 innings over his eight starts at the Double-A level this season, Prielipp owns a 4.30 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 31:5 K:BB.

Eflin allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out one batter over five-plus innings in a no-decision against Boston in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader.

Five hits over five frames is typically a pretty good line, but Eflin served up three homers among those knocks. Two of the long balls came among the first three batters he faced, and though the right-hander was able to pitch into the sixth frame, he didn't retire any batters in his final inning, with two more runs being charged to him. Eflin also struggled to miss bats in the outing -- he notched only six whiffs and one punchout. The 31-year-old held a 3.13 ERA through his first four starts of the campaign, but with two straight rough appearances, that number now sits at a poor 5.40. Eflin will try to get back on track in his next start, which lines up to be a promising matchup at home against the White Sox.

Mize allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision versus the Guardians on Saturday.

Mize picked up where he left off after getting shelved with a mild left hamstring strain earlier in the month. Both runs on his line were scored in the third inning, with Bo Naylor tagging Mize for a solo shot and Jose Ramirez adding an RBI single. Mize was limited to 77 pitches (53 strikes) in this start, but considering his injury was not arm-related, this was likely more a product of game flow than anything to be concerned about. The 28-year-old has taken a big step forward this season, maintaining a 2.45 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 41:10 K:BB across 47.2 innings through eight starts, and he's earned a 6-1 record. Mize's next outing is projected to be at Kansas City.

McClanahan (triceps) threw from 90 feet Friday, MLB.com reports.

McClanahan had been throwing from 60 feet in early May but began to feel discomfort. However, he received reassuring imaging results and is now back ramping up his throwing program. He remains without a timetable to return but is expected to be sidelined until at least July.

Ortiz allowed three runs on four hits and five walks while striking out three over five innings in a no-decision Saturday versus the Tigers.

The five walks matched a season high for Ortiz, who has issued at least two walks in all but one of his 10 starts so far. The Tigers put up all their runs against him in the first inning, though Ortiz was in line for the loss before the Guardians tied the game in the eighth. The right-hander is now at a 4.73 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 59:28 K:BB across 53.1 innings on the year. He is projected to make his next start at home versus the Angels.

Baz (4-3) came away with the win against the Blue Jays on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out four across 5.2 innings.

Baz was able to work out of a bases-loaded jam in the second inning and kept the Blue Jays off the board through the first five frames of Saturday's game. His lone blemish came in the sixth when he yielded a solo home run to Vladimir Guerrero, and Baz was taken out of the game before recording the final out of the frame for what would have been his fifth quality start of the season. Still, the 25-year-old right-hander got enough support from the bullpen to earn his first win since April 25 against the Padres. He'll take a 4.94 ERA and 1.39 WHIP (across 54.2 innings) into his next start, tentatively slated for next week on the road against the Astros.

Berrios (1-2) took the loss against the Rays on Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out three across six innings.

Berrios allowed only four baserunners in Saturday's start, but three of them came around to score in the first inning on a three-run home run from Junior Caminero. Berrios retired 16 of the next 17 batters he faced and earned the quality start, but he couldn't avoid the loss as the Blue Jays were limited to one run. He has six quality starts this season -- four of which have come over his last five outings -- but has only one win to his name. Berrios is lined up to face off against the Athletics at home next week.

Freeland (0-7) took the loss against the Yankees on Saturday, allowing eight runs (four earned) on nine hits and three walks while striking out three across 4.2 innings.

Freeland put the Rockies on the back foot in the first inning after yielding a solo home run to Aaron Judge. Freeland kept the Yankees off the board over the next three frames but ran into trouble in the fifth, when he allowed seven of the first nine batters on base before being mercifully lifted for Angel Chivilli. Freeland has given up four earned runs or more in five outings this season and has gone 14 straight starts without a win, dating back to September 2024. He has a 5.86 ERA and 1.68 WHIP across 55.1 innings this season, both of which are the highest in the majors among qualified starters. Things won't get easier for Freeland, as he's slated to make his next start against the Mets on the road next weekend.

Abbott (4-0) earned the win against the Cubs on Saturday, allowing one run on six hits and two walks with two strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Abbott allowed a solo homer in the third inning but otherwise kept the Cubs in check despite inducing just five whiffs on 83 pitches. The southpaw has now given up more than one earned run only once in eight starts this year and has completed at least five frames six times. He'll take a stellar 1.77 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 45:17 K:BB over 40.2 innings into a road rematch with the Cubs next weekend.
