Kyle Wright SP | CHC
Royals' Kyle Wright: Set to resume rehab assignment
Wright (shoulder) is expected to embark on a rehab assignment with Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Sunday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Wright had his rehab assignment with Northwest Arkansas paused due to right shoulder fatigue, but the 29-year-old right-hander has been given the green light to resume his program. He's made two outings in Double-A and has allowed six runs (five earned) on seven hits and three walks while striking out five across six innings. Wright is in the final stages of his recovery from right shoulder surgery that he underwent in October of 2023.

Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD
Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Throws off mound
Glasnow (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Friday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Friday marks the first time Glasnow has thrown off a mound since he landed on the injured list in late April. He didn't quite reach 20 pitches during his first session and will likely need a few more weeks to continue building up to a starter's workload. A clearer return timeline may emerge when he's cleared to face hitters.

Jose Quintana SP | COL
Brewers' Jose Quintana: Set to begin rehab assignment
Quintana (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab start with High-A Wisconsin on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Quintana threw his second bullpen session of the week Thursday, and after apparently coming out of the workout no worse for the wear, he's been cleared to embark on what will likely be a brief rehab assignment. The veteran southpaw has been on the shelf since May 14 with a left shoulder impingement, but he had been pitching well prior to suffering the injury, going 4-1 with a 2.65 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 24:11 K:BB across 34 innings over his six starts with Milwaukee.

Rockies' Ryan Feltner: Will start rehab next week
Feltner (back) will begin his rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Feltner was placed on the 15-day injured list May 2 after dealing with back spasms. He's expected to make a pair of rehab starts at Triple-A before rejoining the Rockies' rotation. Feltner registered a 4.75 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 25:12 K:BB across six starts spanning 30.1 innings before landing on the IL.

Shota Imanaga SP | CHC
Cubs' Shota Imanaga: Targeting Tuesday for mound work
Imanaga (hamstring) is slated to throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Cubs manager Craig Counsell had previously intimated that Imanaga wouldn't be ready for mound work until late next week, but it appears that timetable has been moved up a few days. The left-hander still has many boxes to check before he can rejoin the Cubs' rotation, and that's not expected until well into June.

Jose Urquidy RP | PIT
Tigers' Jose Urquidy: Completes bullpen
Urquidy (elbow) completed a bullpen session Thursday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Urquidy is working his way back from Tommy John surgery and isn't expected to be activated from the 60-day injured list until the second half of the season. Still, Urquidy has begun throwing bullpen sessions, which is a significant step in his recovery.

Sawyer Gipson-Long SP | DET
Tigers' Sawyer Gipson-Long: Rehab moving to Triple-A
Gipson-Long (elbow/hip) will continue his rehab assignment at Triple-A Toledo on Saturday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Gipson-Long had been rehabbing with High-A West Michigan, but he'll make his fourth rehab outing with Toledo. The 27-year-old is in the process of being stretched out as he returns from Tommy John surgery and left hip surgery. Gipson-Long threw 46 pitches in his most recent outing and is expected to be activated in early June.

Hagen Smith SP | CHW
White Sox's Hagen Smith: Slowed by elbow soreness
White Sox general manager Chris Getz said Friday that Smith has been sidelined recently by left elbow soreness, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Previous reports indicated Smith merely had some fatigue. The good news is an MRI on Smith's elbow came back clean, and the discomfort has subsided. Smith is expected to be cleared to play catch soon, but it's unclear when he might be ready to make a start. He's posted a 2.10 ERA and 42:20 K:BB over 25.2 innings covering seven starts this season with Double-A Birmingham.

Paul Blackburn RP | NYY
Mets' Paul Blackburn: Final rehab start coming Tuesday
Blackburn (knee) will make his final rehab start Tuesday for Triple-A Syracuse, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.
Blackburn threw seven scoreless innings in his last rehab start and is set to make his last minor-league outing Tuesday. There isn't a clear spot for Blackburn in the Mets' rotation, so he's likely to join the bullpen as a long reliever once activated from the 15-day injured list.

Ben Lively SP | CLE
Guardians' Ben Lively: Set for season-ending elbow surgery
Lively will undergo season-ending surgery to reconstruct his right elbow UCL and repair his flexor tendon.
Lively and the Guardians made the decision to undergo the operation after receiving a second opinion from Dr. Keith Meister in Texas earlier this week. The surgery is likely to sideline him at least 12-to-16 months, but more details on a timetable should be available after the procedure. Lively, 33, is set to reach arbitration eligibility for the first time this offseason.
