Astros shortstop Carlos Correa remains out of the starting lineup Saturday against the Twins. Correa is dealing with a sore left hamstring that has kept him out of the lineup for three straight games now.

The Astros have not provided further details on Correa's status, and he is still considered day-to-day at this point.

Astros rookie stud shortstop Carlos Correa has received a second straight game off Friday, when his team plays in Minnesota. He has confirmed a bit of left hamstring soreness, per MLB.com.

Correa had been in a bit of a mini-funk at the plate before slamming four hits and scoring three runs over his last three games. His slash line in the year remains an excellent .278/.347/.510.

This will be Correa's second day off since being promoted to the Major Leagues back in early June. The hot-hitting rookie has cooled down a bit of late, as he is batting .231 with one home run and six RBI over his last 10 games. 

Marwin Gonzalez will get the start at shortstop on Wednesday.

Angels infielder Taylor Featherston began his rehab assignment with Triple-A Salt Lake City on Monday. The rookie went 1 for 4, serving as the Bees' shortstop.

Featherston has been out of action with a strained back since the middle of August.

Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts is getting a rare day off on Wednesday, as he is being held out of the starting lineup for the first time since June 20. Bogaerts has maintained a hot bat all year, and he is batting .327 with a home run, four doubles and eight RBI over his past 10 games.

Brock Holt will slide over to shortstop for Wednesday's matchup with the Indians.

The Angels have placed reliever Cory Rasmus and infielder Taylor Featherston on the disabled list, per the Orange County Register.

Rasmus is dealing with a forearm strain after losing much of the season to an abdominal injury. He goes down with a 5.06 ERA in seven apparances and four runs allowed in his last four innings pitched.

Featherston, who is sidelined with an upper back strain, owns a terrible slash line of .130/.198/.196 in 92 at-bats. He has been used mostly as a defensive replacement.

The Indians have activated Ryan Raburn from the bereavement list, and optioned Zach Walters to Triple-A Columbus. Rabrun has been away from the team since Tuesday.

Walters went 0 for 3 in his only game since being recalled when Raburn left the team.

Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor went 3 for 5 with a double and RBI in Friday's win over Minnesota. 

The three-hit day extended Lindor's hitting streak to nine straight games. He's hitting .472 over the streak. 

The Blue Jays have announced that they have acquired infielder Cliff Pennington from the Diamondbacks. They are receiving minor league shortstop Dawel Lugo in return. Toronto will receive cash in the deal as well.

Pennington, who would provide depth for Toronto, owns a slash line of .237/.314/.281 with one home run in 135 at-bats. He spent his first five seasons in the American League with Oakland.
