    Astros SS Carlos Correa delivers late two-run HR in win Thursday

    Astros shortstop Carlos Correa came through in the clutch once again. The 20-year-old rookie went 2 for 4 on Thursday, including a go-ahead two-run home run in the eventual 5-4 extra-innings win over the A's. 

    Correa's home run--his 14th in just 51 games this season--came in the eighth inning with his club trailing 2-1. The two-run blast gave the Astros a 3-2 lead and instantly changed the landscape of the game. 

    Correa is batting .300 (12 for 40) with six home runs over his past 10 games.

    Astros SS Carlos Correa goes deep again in loss on Monday

    Astros shortstop Carlos Correa is certainly making his case for American League Rookie of the Year this season. On Monday, Correa hit his 13th home run of the season, a two-run shot in the first inning. The early lead wouldn't hold however, as the Astros lost 12-9 to the Rangers.

    The home run was Correa's fifth in his past seven games, and he is batting .345 with seven RBI over that stretch.

    Astros SS Carlos Correa pops two home runs in win on Saturday

    Astros rookie shortstop Carlos Correa had yet another big night at the plate in Saturday's 9-2 win over the Diamondbacks. The top prospect went 2 for 5 with a pair of home runs in the big victory.

    Correa got the Astros on the board early when he slugged a solo home run in the first inning. He later added a two-run shot in the sixth to close out the scoring for the Astros. 

    The 20-year-old has hit safely in 15 of his past 16 games, batting .357 with three home runs and 13 RBI over that stretch.

  • Xander Bogaerts has four-hit game for Red Sox

    Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts went 4 for 5 in Saturday's win over Tampa Bay. 

    Bogaerts doubled and drove in three runs. He's 7 for his last 13 over the last three games. 

    Bogaerts had 4 hits for the second time in the last seven games. He also has a 3-hit day over that span. 

  • Taylor Featherston replaces Conor Gillaspie in Angels' lineup

    Angels third baseman Conor Gillaspie isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's game. Gillaspie has started five of the last six games at the hot corner. 

    Taylor Featherston replaces Gillaspie in the lineup, starting at third for the eighth time this year.

    Astros SS Carlos Correa homers, goes 3 for 4 in win on Tuesday

    Astros rookie shortstop Carlos Correa continued to terrorize big-league pitching in Tuesday's 10-5 win over the Angels. Correa went 3 for 4, including his ninth home run. 

    Correa's homer was a two-out solo shot in the bottom of the first to trim the Angels' lead to 2-1 at the time. He would also single twice later on in the game, giving him an impressive .299 batting average over his first 42 games.

    The youngster is particularly hot right now, batting an absurd .565 with two home runs and nine RBI over his last 10 games.

  • Xander Bogaerts gets three hits for Red Sox

    Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts went 3 for 5 in Friday's win over Detroit. 

    Bogaerts has four multi-hit games in the last six. He's 10 for his last 24 for a .417 average. 

    Bogaerts had one of Boston's two RBI in the game, hitting a walk-off single in the 11th inning. 

  • Indians SS Francisco Lindor homers, singles in Wednesday win

    Shortstop Francisco Lindor got the Indians off on the right foot Wednesday in Milwaukee.

    His team promptly stumbled before recovering to win after the promising rookie blasted his third home run, a solo shot in the first inning. Lindor also singled and scored in the third in improving his slash line to .246/.284/.349.

    Lindor is batting .302 (16-for-53) over his last 11 games.

  • Indians SS Francisco Lindor goes 3 for 5 in win on Saturday

    Indians rookie shortstop Francisco Lindor posted the first three-hit game of his career in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Reds. Lindor singled twice, doubled and scored two runs, boosting his season average up to .241.

    Lindor has gotten off to a rather quiet start to his young career, but he has been turning things around lately. Over his last 10 games, Lindor is batting .293 with a home run and three RBI.

    Astros SS Carlos Correa homers in two-hit game

    Astros shortstop Carlos Correa went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's loss to the Rangers.

    Correa hit a two-run blast, his eighth of the season, in the ninth inning to bring the game within a run, but his team wouldn't get any closer than that.

    Correa is hitting .357 with five hits, a double, a home run and three RBI over his last four games.
