  • Jose Caballero 2B | NYY

    Rays' Jose Caballero: Sitting Saturday

Caballero is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Caballero will take a seat Saturday after going 1-for-4 with a double in the series opener Friday. Taylor Walls will start at shortstop Saturday and bat seventh against Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: Sitting again Saturday

Seager (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants.

Seager will sit for a second straight game after injuring his left hamstring Wednesday against the Tigers. He will be available to pinch hit again Saturday, per Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com. Josh Smith will shift over to shortstop while Ezequiel Duran gets the start at third base against Giants right-hander Spencer Howard.

  • Ryan Bliss SS | SEA

Mariners' Ryan Bliss: Knocks first career homer

Bliss went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Royals on Friday.

The rookie had made minimal impact at the plate at the big-league level thus far until Friday's blast, a 421-foot shot to left center with Victor Robles aboard to close out the Mariners' seven-run first inning. Bliss has now hit safely in three of his last five games, including two straight, after opening his major-league career by going 0-for-7 in his first three contests. Meanwhile, the homer marked his first extra-base hit since his May 27 debut.

  • David Hamilton SS | MIL

Red Sox's David Hamilton: Swipes two bags off bench

Hamilton entered Friday's game after Tyler O'Neill (knee) was removed and went 0-for-3 with two steals in a 7-2 loss to the White Sox.

After O'Neill's removal, the Red Sox made several adjustments, including Hamilton entering at shortstop and Ceddanne Rafaela moving to the outfield. Hamilton now has 11 steals for the season, second on the team. The Red Sox are dealing with several outfield injuries -- O'Neill, Wilyer Abreu (ankle) and Masataka Yoshida (thumb) -- and may not be able to get by with Rafaela at shortstop in the short term. In that event, Hamilton could be a regular at short.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: IL stint not expected

Texas manager Bruce Bochy said Seager (hamstring) is not expected to require a stint on the injured list, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Seager injured his hamstring Wednesday and sat out Friday's game after Thursday's off-day. Bochy doesn't anticipate an IL stint, but Seager might need a couple of days to get back to the field.

  • Bobby Witt SS | KC

Royals' Bobby Witt: Three hits in comeback win

Witt went 3-for-5 with a triple, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 10-9 win over the Mariners.

Witt's triple was his seventh of the year, putting him second in the majors behind Boston's Jarren Duran (nine). It was a timely three-bagger for Witt, as it tied the game in the ninth inning, and he came home with the winning run on a Nelson Velazquez fielder's choice. This was Witt's third three-hit effort in his last six games. He's up to a .323/.375/.568 slash line with 11 home runs, 47 RBI, 56 runs scored and 19 stolen bases over 64 contests this season.

  • Brayan Rocchio SS | CLE

Guardians' Brayan Rocchio: Cranks first career homer

Rocchio went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Marlins.

Rocchio's first career homer came in the third inning of his 77th game. That blast was all the offense the Guardians could put on the board in Friday's loss. The shortstop has held down a starting role this year, but he's posted a mediocre .213/.314/.287 slash line with 11 RBI, 27 runs scored, seven stolen bases and nine doubles over 192 plate appearances.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Rangers' Corey Seager: Not starting Friday

Seager (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.

The hamstring injury that caused Seager's departure from Wednesday's matchup with the Tigers is considered minor, but he'll still be out of the starting nine for at least one game. The 30-year-old is still on Texas' lineup card as a bench player, per Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News, and he isn't expected to require a trip to the injured list. Josh Smith will shift to shortstop while Ezequiel Duran receives a start at the hot corner.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Twins' Carlos Correa: Swats fifth homer

Correa went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Thursday's loss to the Yankees.

Correa got Minnesota off to a fast start with a solo shot off Marcus Stroman in the first inning. He added a sacrifice fly in the fifth to give him consecutive multi-RBI performances. Though Correa is batting just .217 (5-for-23) over his past six games, he's knocked in a hearty nine runs over that stretch.

  • Bobby Witt SS | KC

Royals' Bobby Witt: Two steals in win

Witt went 1-for-4 with a walk and two stolen bases in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Guardians.

Witt has gone 13-for-31 (.419) with 10 RBI and three steals during his seven-game hitting streak. While he didn't score Thursday, he was active on the basepaths for his third multi-steal game of the season. The shortstop is up to a .317/.371/.560 slash line with 19 thefts, 11 home runs, 46 RBI and 54 runs scored through 63 games this season.
