David Hamilton SS | BOS
Red Sox's David Hamilton: Swipes two bags Sunday
Hamilton went 1-for-4 with two steals in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.
Hamilton singled his first time up to lead off the second inning and wound up stealing second and third but was left stranded. It was the fifth time this year he stole multiple bases in a game, and Hamilton finds himself in a tie for third in the majors with 25 steals. The 26-year-old has yet to break through as an everyday player for the Red Sox, as he's been finding himself sitting against lefties. Still, Hamilton has shown plenty of improvement after struggling mightily in a brief taste of the majors last year. He's slashing .270/.323/.407 with five homers, 17 RBI, 34 runs and a 15:57 BB:K in 220 plate appearances.

Taylor Walls 3B | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Receiving Monday off
Walls is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Walls will get a breather for Monday's day game after he started each of the first three contests of the series versus the Yankees, going 1-for-7 with a double, three walks, a stolen base and a run. Jose Caballero will step in for Walls at shortstop.

Jose Caballero 2B | TB
Rays' Jose Caballero: Taking advantage of playing time
Caballero went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBI on Sunday against the Yankees.
Caballero has started all three of Tampa Bay's games since the All-Star break due to the absence of Yandy Diaz (personal), which has shifted Isaac Paredes to first base. Caballero has taken advantage, going 4-for-11 with a stolen base, a home run, two RBI and two runs scored.

Kevin McGonigle SS | DET
Tigers' Kevin McGonigle: Moves up to High-A
McGonigle was promoted to High-A West Michigan on Sunday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
McGonigle produced a .323/.404/.456 slash line with three home runs, 34 RBI, 39 runs and 19 stolen bases over 226 at-bats in 59 games with Single-A Lakeland, and he'll now take the next step in his professional career. Fellow 19-year-old Max Clark was also promoted Sunday, and the two athletes will look to impress with West Michigan for the remainder of the year.

Bobby Witt SS | KC
Royals' Bobby Witt: Collects three more hits in win
Witt went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 4-1 win over the White Sox.
Witt has come out of the All-Star break on a tear with nine hits in 11 at-bats. His streak of three straight games with three hits is tied for the longest of his career. It's also tied for the third-longest streak in Royals history, behind Johnny Damon (four) and George Brett (six). Witt's hot run extends beyond the All-Star break, as he's been out of his mind over his last 15 games, slashing .508/.516/.864 with five homers and 13 RBI over that span. Since June 30, the 24-year-old has seen his batting average go from .307 to .337, second best in MLB behind Steven Kwan.

Gunnar Henderson 3B | BAL
Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Late addition to lineup
Henderson will start at shortstop and bat leadoff Sunday against the Rangers after initially being absent from the lineup, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Henderson appeared set to sit for just the second time all season but will instead take his usual spot atop the order for Baltimore. Ramon Urias will head to the bench as the odd man out of the Orioles' initial Sunday lineup.

Paul DeJong SS | KC
White Sox's Paul DeJong: Out of Sunday's lineup
DeJong is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.
DeJong started the previous 12 games but will sit Sunday after he posted a .143 average and 32.6 percent strikeout rate during that span. The veteran shortstop has made just one of his past four starts at the position, as he's seen more action at third base of late while Nicky Lopez works more at shortstop. DeJong is a prime candidate to be traded ahead of the July 30 deadline, but he's hurting his trade value with a .442 OPS this month.

Jacob Wilson SS | OAK
Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Moves to injured list
The Athletics placed Wilson on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a left hamstring strain.
The 22-year-old was promoted from Triple-A Las Vegas and made his MLB debut in Friday's 13-3 win over the Angels, only to exit the game early after tweaking his hamstring while running the bases upon reaching on a single in his first at-bat. Although the severity of the hamstring strain is unclear since the results of Wilson's MRI have yet to be disclosed, he'll be sidelined for at least the next nine days. Abraham Toro was activated from the IL in a corresponding move, while Max Scheumann is likely to take back over as Oakland's primary shortstop during Wilson's absence.

Jose Caballero 2B | TB
Rays' Jose Caballero: Helping to fill in for Diaz
Caballero will start at third base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Caballero has now started in each of the Rays' first three games out of the All-Star break, with two coming at third base and the other at second base. He looks as though he could have the opportunity to play regularly against both right- and left-handed pitching while infielder Yandy Diaz (personal) is on the restricted list and away from the team.

Bobby Witt SS | KC
Royals' Bobby Witt: Racks up three more hits Saturday
Witt went 3-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI in Saturday's 6-1 win against the White Sox.
Witt has come out of the All-Star break firing on all cylinders, going 6-for-7 with two extra-base hits (a homer and a double), three RBI and three runs through two contests. His span of excellence extends well before the break, though, as he's batting a magnificent .491 (27-for-55) with five homers, 13 RBI and 15 runs over his past 14 games. Witt's hot streak has pushed his season batting average up to .332, second only to Steven Kwan (.351) among qualified major-league hitters.
