  • Tim Anderson 2B | LAA

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Collects four hits

Anderson went 4-for-5 with two doubles, one run and one RBI during Saturday's 9-6 loss to the Royals.

The 27-year-old was 3-for-16 with five strikeouts over his past four games, but he busted out with his third four-hit game of the season Saturday. Anderson has a .361/.398/.649 slash line with six homers, eight doubles, 26 runs, 11 RBI and three stolen bases through 23 games.

  • Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Strong effort at plate

Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer, a double and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Nationals.

Bogaerts opened the scoring with his blast off Nationals starter Anibal Sanchez in the first inning. In the sixth, Bogaerts hit a double and later stole third with two outs. The shortstop's well-rounded effort gives him seven homers, 20 RBI, 18 runs scored and three stolen bases in 32 games this season. He's slashing .295/.355/.545 across 124 plate appearances.

  • Joey Wendle 2B | ATL

Rays' Joey Wendle: Drives in two

Wendle went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored Saturday against the Marlins.

Wendle came to bat with the bases loaded in the eighth inning and delivered with a two-run double to put the Rays up 4-0. He played a big part in the victory, as he also scored a run to put the team up 2-0 in the seventh frame. With the performance, Wendle extended his hitting streak to eight games and is now hitting .301/.356/.458 across 90 plate appearances this season.

  • Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU

    Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Activated Saturday

Diaz (groin) was activated from the 10-day injured list Saturday and will be available for the Astros' doubleheader against the Athletics, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Diaz suffered a right groin strain on Opening Day and is finally back after missing over a month due to the injury. He figures to be Jose Altuve's backup at second base but could also see some time at third base while Alex Bregman (hamstring) is on the injured list.

  • Royals' Adalberto Mondesi: Awful night at plate

Mondesi went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts and eight men left on base in Friday's 6-5 loss to the White Sox.

His whiff with runners on second and third and nobody out in the second inning set the tone for his evening, and Mondesi's inability to make any kind of solid contact cost the Royals dearly in the end. The shortstop's speed still gives him fantasy value as long as he's in the starting lineup, but Mondesi's .205/.225/.265 slash line and 2:37 BB:K through 32 games have that starting job on very thin ice.

  • Indians' Francisco Lindor: Notches first steal

Lindor went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and a stolen base in Friday's 14-2 win over the Cardinals.

Lindor singled, stole a base and scored on a Franmil Reyes homer in the first inning. In the second, Lindor reached on a double play and scored on Carlos Santana's long ball. Lindor's final run of the game came in the sixth inning when he doubled and came home on a Reyes single. The 26-year-old shortstop is up to five homers, 15 RBI, 17 runs scored and a stolen base through 32 contests.

  • Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU

Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Could return Saturday

Diaz (groin) could join the Astros on Saturday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Diaz has not played for the Astros since injuring his groin Opening Day, but it appears he is close to returning to action. It remains to be seen what role Diaz will fill when is he activated, but he could serve as Houston's primary third baseman until Alex Bregman (hamstring) is ready to get back on the field.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Begins baseball activities

Bichette (knee) began baseball activities Thursday but there is no timeline for him to begin taking groundballs or running the bases, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.

He is ahead of schedule on beginning baseball activities, playing catch and hitting off a tee, but he has yet to stress test his strained right knee. The team will continue to monitor Bichette on a daily basis to determine when he can ramp up further.

  • J.P. Crawford SS | SEA

Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Productive in doubleheader

Crawford went a combined 3-for-7 with a stolen base and three runs in a pair of seven-inning doubleheader games against the Padres on Thursday.

Crawford led off both contests and set his teammates up well in each. The shortstop has now hit safely in five of his last six games, boosting his previously plummeting stat line back to .244/.336/.319. While there's naturally still plenty of room for improvement in those numbers, Crawford sported a .282 average and .391 on-base percentage as recently as Aug. 15, so he's certainly capable of continuing his ascent.

  • Willy Adames SS | SF

Rays' Willy Adames: Out of Wednesday's lineup

Adames is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Orioles.

This will be Adames' second day off in the last 15 games. He is hitting .333/.418/.688 with three home runs and zero steals over that stretch. Joey Wendle gets the start at shortstop and will bat third.
