  • Joey Wendle 2B | ATL

Rays' Joey Wendle: Standout night in win

Wendle went 3-for-4 with a triple, a stolen base and a run in a win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

The versatile infielder has looked like a completely different hitter thus far in 2020 compared to last season, as Wendle's clean bill of health has allowed him to rediscover the stroke that led to a pair of .300-average campaigns in 2017 and 2018. Tuesday's three-bagger and steal were both firsts for the 30-year-old in the current season, while the multi-hit tally was his third in the last seven games.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: Reaches base five times

Correa went 3-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Correa is one of the few Houston batters off to a productive start. He's hit safely in nine of 10 games played, going 14-for-36 with five extra-base hits (two homers) and six RBI.

  • Royals' Adalberto Mondesi: Registers three hits Tuesday

Mondesi went 3-for-4 with a double, run scored and RBI in Tuesday's win over the Cubs.

Mondesi plated the Royals' first run of the game with a single in the second inning and scored their final run in the ninth. The 25-year-old has overcome a slow start by reaching base in six of his last seven games, going 11-for-24 (.458) over that span. Mondesi is batting .289 (13-for-45) on the season, though he has stolen only one base in three attempts.

  • Willy Adames SS | SF

Rays' Willy Adames: Day off Tuesday

Adames is not starting Tuesday against Boston, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Adames sits for just the second time in the season's first 11 games. He owns a strong .919 OPS through 32 plate appearances. Joey Wendle takes over at shortstop.

  • Indians' Francisco Lindor: Cracks third homer

Lindor went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Reds. He was also caught stealing.

Since getting off to a 2-for-14 start, Lindor has gone 9-for-30 with three home runs. He's still looking for his first stolen base -- Monday's attempt was his first -- and Cleveland is not running a lot as a team early on. That said, it would still be a surprise if Lindor didn't end up with a handful of steals by the end of the campaign.

  • Royals' Adalberto Mondesi: In Monday's lineup

Mondesi (quadriceps) will bat eighth and play shortstop Monday against the Cubs, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Mondesi left Sunday's game against the White Sox after fouling a pitch off his leg, but his removal was considered precautionary, so it's no big surprise to see him remain in the lineup Monday. Mondesi has started all 11 games this season despite going just .231/.231/.333 at the plate, though the rebuilding Royals have little reason not to let him work through his struggles on the field.

  • David Fletcher 2B | ATL

Angels' David Fletcher: Notches second steal

Fletcher went 1-for-5 with a walk, stolen base and run scored in Sunday's 11-inning loss to Houston.

Fletcher finished the three-game series against Houston with four hits and four walks in 15 plate appearances. That kind of production has been par for the course for Fletcher so far in 2020 -- he has hit safely in all but two contests and carries a .368/.458/.447 slash line through 10 games. He also has two stolen bases after swiping eight bags in 154 contests last season.

  • Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Paces offense in loss

Bogaerts went 4-for-4 with two homers, three RBI and three runs scored in Sunday's 9-7 loss to the Yankees.

Bogaerts opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning. He scored again on a Christian Vazquez single in the third. Bogaerts then went yard again in the fifth with a solo shot versus Yankees reliever Michael King. The shortstop's big game gives him three homers, nine RBI and six runs scored in 10 games this season.

  • Royals' Adalberto Mondesi: Lifted early Sunday as precaution

Mondesi was removed from Sunday's game against the White Sox after the fourth inning with a quadriceps contusion, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

According to Lewis, the Royals are labeling Mondesi's removal as precautionary after he fouled a pitch off his lower leg during his lone at-bat in the second inning. Mondesi ended up grounding out in the at-bat and went on to play the next two innings in the field, but the Royals decided to err on the side of caution by pulling him out of the contest early. Nicky Lopez (shin) came off the bench to replace Mondesi, who can be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener with the Cubs.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: Gets maintenance day

Correa is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

According to Rome, manager Dusty Baker said that Correa is just getting a maintenance day after he started in each of the Astros' first eight games. Before going 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in Saturday's 5-4 loss, Correa had put together a seven-game hitting streak to begin the campaign. Jack Mayfield will enter the lineup in place of Correa, starting at shortstop and batting eighth.
