Rays' Willy Adames: Sitting out Wednesday
Adames is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Ready for rehab stint
Anderson (ankle) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The shortstop ran the bases Monday, clearing the final hurdle necessary to return to a live setting. He's missed close to a month with the high-ankle sprain, but Anderson suggested he may only need a week's worth of games or so in the minors to prepare for a return to Chicago. When ready, Anderson will push Ryan Goins to the bench or off the roster entirely.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Rare offensive success
Crawford went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a double in a win over the Rangers on Monday.
The multi-hit effort was Crawford's first since June 28, a 16-game stretch during which he hit an abysmal .107 (6-for-56). The skid led to a 68-point tumble in Crawford's season average (.319 to .251), but with the Mariners devoid of any postseason aspirations, manager Scott Servais has stuck with his young shortstop in an apparent effort to let Crawford claw his way out of the extended funk. It remains to be seen if Monday's performance can serve as a launchpad to a resurgence at the plate.

Dee Strange-Gordon SS | WAS
Mariners' Dee Gordon: Exits after errant pickoff throw
Gordon exited Monday's win over the Rangers in the top of the third inning after being struck in the back by an Adrian Sampson pickoff attempt in the bottom half of the second, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
The veteran appeared to be in discomfort after getting back to his feet following his dive back to first base, but he was still able to finish out the frame. However, the pain may have worsened between innings, as it was Dylan Moore, and not Gordon, at second base to start the third. Gordon should be considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's contest versus the Rangers.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Launches homer in return
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer and two runs scored in Monday's 11-1 win over the Athletics.
Suiting up for his first game since May 26, Diaz rocked Homer Bailey for a three-run shot in the third inning. knocking him out of the contest. The 28-year-old infielder owns a solid .854 OPS with 25 RBI over 113 plate appearances, but in a stacked Houston infield, he won't see enough playing time to warrant fantasy value in standard leagues barring an injury.
