Indians' Yu-Cheng Chang: Added to 40-man roster

Chang was added to the Indians' 40-man roster on Monday to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.

He hit for more power than ever last season at Double-A, hitting a career-high 24 home runs with an impressive .241 ISO. Unfortunately, he also hit just .220 (.254 BABIP) and struck out 26.4 percent of the time. Chang is an average runner and chipped in 11 steals for the second consecutive season. He is a better bet in OBP leagues, as he continues to walk a lot, especially for a middle-infield prospect.

  • Zach Vincej SS | SEA

Mariners' Zach Vincej: Outrighted to Triple-A

Vincej was outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.

Vincej, who was claimed off waivers from the Reds last week, will stick in Seattle as organizational depth after the team passed him through waivers untouched. The 26-year-old shortstop made his major-league debut in 2017, going 1-for-9 with a walk in nine appearances as a September callup.

Mariners' Zach Vincej: Claimed by Seattle

Vincej was claimed off waivers by the Mariners on Friday.

Vincej was called up to the big leagues by the Reds on Sept. 1 for the first time in his career, and proceeded to go 1-for-9 with one walk during nine appearances with the team. Moving forward, he will provide organizational depth in the infield for Seattle.

  • Luis Sardinas SS | WAS

Orioles' Luis Sardinas: Signs minor-league contract

Sardinas was re-signed by the Orioles on a minor-league contract, Rich Dubroff of PressBoxOnline.com reports.

Sardinas played in 24 major-league games with the Padres last season, hitting just .163/.226/.163 in 53 at-bats before being designated for assignment by the club. After he latched on with Baltimore, the 24-year-old spent the rest of the year with Triple-A Norfolk, batting .319 with an OPS of .767. He will continue to serve as organizational depth within the infield moving forward.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: Not in Sunday lineup

Correa is out of the lineup Sunday against the Red Sox.

The Astros are using Sunday as a chance to rest a handful of their regular starters, so Correa will get the day off. Marwin Gonzalez will start at shortstop in his place. Correa will carry a .315/.391/.550 line into Thursday's playoff game against Boston.

  • Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Not in Sunday lineup

Bogaerts is out of the lineup Sunday against the Astros.

Bogaerts has been putting on a show at the plate lately. Over the last seven games, he's hit .379/.419/.552 with five RBI. He's heating up at the right time for Boston, as the Red Sox are beginning a playoff series against Houston on Thursday. Deven Marrero will start at shortstop with Bogaerts out.

  • Tim Anderson 2B | LAA

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Out of lineup Saturday

Anderson is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Indians.

Anderson will receive a standard day off following 21 straight starts, while slashing .322/.337/.444 during that span. In his place, Tyler Saladino will pick up a start at shortstop.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: Stays hot with four-hit game

Correa went 4-for-4 with a double, a home run, a walk, three runs scored and three RBI in Thursday's 12-2 win over Boston.

Correa has produced consecutive four-hit efforts while combining for three home runs and two doubles in those two games. It looks like the thumb injury Correa suffered earlier this season is fully behind him, which is great news both for the talented infielder with the playoffs approaching and for fantasy owners benefiting from his heroics down the stretch.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: Homers twice in win

Correa went 4-for-5 with a double, two home runs and four RBI during Wednesday's win over Texas.

While missing approximately a month and a half of the season due to a thumb injury definitely robbed Correa from a career-best showing, he's still posted an impressive fantasy campaign. He's now up to 23 homers, 81 RBI, 78 runs with a .308/.382/.539 slash line for the year and still has a few more games on the schedule to pad those statistics.

  • Richard Urena SS | WAS

Blue Jays' Richard Urena: Out of lineup Monday

Urena is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Urena is just 1-for-21 (.048) with 10 strikeouts in his previous eight contests, so he'll start on the bench for a fourth straight game. Ryan Goins, who appears to have reclaimed his role as the Blue Jays' everyday shortstop, will draw another start in his place.
