Yu Chang SS | TB
Indians' Yu-Cheng Chang: Placed on minor league DL
Chang was placed on the 7-day DL with High-A Lynchburg on Saturday due to a right wrist strain.
Chang, who signed out of Taiwan in 2013, struggled at Low-A in 2015 (.655 OPS), but he has been excellent in the Carolina League this year, slashing .271/.345/.484 with 12 homers, eight triples and 28 doubles while stealing 11 bases on 14 tries. His production stacks up nicely with the high-pedigree shortstops at his level, but Chang, who turns 21 next week, is slightly older than his contemporaries. With just over three weeks remaining in the minor league regular season, Chang may not play again this year. He will enter 2017 as a fringe top-200 prospect for dynasty leagues.

Shawn O'Malley SS | COL
Mariners' Shawn O'Malley: Produces in Friday return to leadoff role
O'Malley finished 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's loss to the Athletics.
O'Malley returned to the leadoff spot for the first time this month, and he was one of the lone bright spots at the plate Friday. The switch-hitting utility man has chipped in some different categories in limited playing time this season, but a lack of consistent playing time has kept him from becoming relevant to fantasy owners, as Friday's start was his first in three days.

Cliff Pennington SS | CIN
Angels' Cliff Pennington: Hits solo shot
Pennington went 2-for-4 with a home run during Thursday's loss to the Indians.
It's been a lost season for Pennington as this was just his eighth game back since a hamstring injury sidelined him in late May. In 87 plate appearances, the 32-year-old is hitting .244 with three home runs and eight RBI.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Goes deep again
Correa went 2-for-4 with a solo shot and three runs scored on Thursday against the Twins.
Correa has homered in three-straight games and now has 18 on the year -- four off from his career-best. The talented shortstop has followed up his rookie performance with another spectacular campaign. Among shortstops, he ranks seventh in home runs and first in RBI with 78.

Adalberto Mondesi SS | BOS
Royals' Raul Mondesi: Struggling in majors
Mondesi is hitting .217/.234/.261 in 49 major league plate appearances with just one walk.
The 21-year-old switch-hitter has just one extra-base hit in the majors after being called up on July 26 from Triple-A Omaha. Although, he has shown some potential as a base runner with three successful steal attempts without being caught.

Luis Sardinas SS | WAS
Mariners' Luis Sardinas: Designated for assignment
Sardinas was designated for assignment Wednesday, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
Sardinas disappointed with the big club this season, managing to scrape together a batting average of just .181. While he's a versatile defender and his .252/.295/.276 line at Triple-A Tacoma is better than his dismal showing in the majors, it still wasn't enough to maintain a spot on the 40-man roster.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Rejoins lineup, batting second
Bogaerts will rejoin the lineup Wednesday and bat second against the Yankees, Sean McAdam of CSNNE reports.
After getting a rare day off Tuesday, Bogaerts rejoins the Red Sox's lineup Wednesday, but he won't be hitting out of his usual spot in the order. He'll be batting second in the lineup for just the sixth time this season as manager John Farrell attempts to jump start a suddenly sputtering offense that checks in with the fifth-worst wOBA over the last two weeks at .290. Bogaerts himself had struggled a bit prior to his day off Tuesday, collecting just four hits in his last 24 at-bats.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Homers in four RBI game against Minnesota
Correa homered and knocked in four runs in a 2-for-4 game in Tuesday's win over the Twins.
Correa matched his RBI high for the season, tying his June 28 performance against the Angels in which he went 3-for-4 with a double and a homer. The performance pushed him to 74 RBI on the season, which puts him two ahead of Colorado's Trevor Story for the major league lead at the shortstop position.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Gets rare day off Tuesday
Bogaerts is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.
Brock Holt will get the start at shortstop Tuesday as Bogaerts gets his first off day since June 28. Bogaerts has struggled at the dish of late, slashing .207/.250/.379 over the last two weeks and .143/.167/.143 over the last week. The hope is that Tuesday's off day will allow the star shortstop to refocus and get back on track for the stretch run.

Richard Urena SS | WAS
Blue Jays' Richard Urena: Enjoying breakout year in minors
Urena is enjoying a breakout year, slashing .311/.354/.458 over 97 games with Single-A Dunedin and five contests with Double-A New Hampshire.
After Urena averaged 22 errors over the last four seasons, a priority entering the season was to sharpen his concentration and throwing mechanics at shortstop. "The coaching staff has really made a lot of positive strides with him in terms of his footwork to and through ground balls," Jays' Director of Player Development Gil Kim said. "That focus and concentration extended to the batter's box. That was the biggest area of focus and subsequent improvement." Urena is the organization's No. 2 prospect (No. 78 overall) and should be on the fantasy radar for owners in dynasty formats looking ahead to the future.
