Lindor went 1-for-3 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's loss to the Marlins.

The shortstop has drawn two walks in four straight games as he continues to thrive at the top of the order for the Mets. Since the beginning of June, Lindor is slashing .290/.383/.529 with eight of his 17 homers and 11 of his 19 steals on the season as he closes in on the fourth 20-20 campaign of his career.

Cruz went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 8-7 win over the Phillies.

Cruz got the Pirates on the board with an RBI double in the first inning. He'd add another RBI in the seventh before driving in a third run in the ninth with a fielder's choice that tied the game 7-7. The 25-year-old Cruz picked up where he left off before the All-Star break -- he's gone 16-for-45 (.356) over his last 12 games with seven extra-base hits and 13 RBI in that span. The shortstop is now slashing .252/.304/.447 on the season with 14 homers, 47 RBI, 43 runs scored and seven steals across 86 games.

Betts (hand) played catch Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Betts previously had someone else catch the ball for him while he continued to keep his arm active, but Friday marked the first time he was able to catch balls himself using his fractured left hand. The Dodgers have yet to set a target return date for the 31-year-old, though there's still a chance he's able to rejoin the team in early August. When Betts does rejoin the lineup, he may be used as a second baseman given Miguel Rojas' strong performance while filling in as his replacement at shortstop.

Perdomo (hamstring) was activated from the 60-day injured list Monday and debuted in the Dominican Summer League.

He has gone 1-for-4 with one strikeout in two games since getting activated. Perdomo was one of the top international prospects to sign this year on Jan. 15, but he dealt with a significant hamstring injury that delayed his pro debut.

Triple-A Iowa placed Vazquez on its 7-day injured list Friday with an unspecified injury.

Vazquez is on Iowa's IL for the second time in less than a month, though it's unclear if his latest injury is related to the previous one. He got a brief cup of coffee with the Cubs in late May but has otherwise spent the entire 2024 season at Iowa, where he's slashed .255/.347/.389 with five home runs and one stolen base over 244 plate appearances.

The veteran shortstop heads into the All-Star break on a tear. Lindor got on base 10 times in 15 plate appearances during the three-game series against Colorado, and over his last 25 contests he's slashing .314/.397/.549 with nine doubles, five homers, seven steals, 18 RBI and 20 runs.

Edwards went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, an RBI and two stolen bases in Sunday's win over the Reds.

The 24-year-old switch hitter, acquired from the Rays in Nov. 2022, appears to be solidifying his spot as the Marlins' shortstop of both the present and the future. Edwards has multiple hits in six of the last eight games, batting .448 (13-for-29) over that stretch with two doubles, two RBI, three steals, four runs and a 4:3 BB:K. Manager Skip Schumaker has mainly had Edwards hitting fifth or lower since his promotion at the beginning of the month, but his skill set would seem very well suited for the top of the batting order.

Tovar went 3-for-4 with two two-run home runs during Sunday's 8-5 win over the Mets.

Tovar chipped in two of the Rockies' six long balls Sunday, launching two-run homers off Jose Quintana in the first inning and Adrian Houser in the seventh. After going hitless in 28 at-bats to start July, Tovar is 11-for-25 since, with three doubles, five RBI and four runs scored. Despite the cold spell, the 22-year-old is slashing .274/.302/.462 with 14 home runs, 46 runs, 42 RBI and four stolen bases at the All-Star break.

Adames went 4-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, a walk, two additional RBI and two total runs scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Nationals.

Adames has gone 9-for-21 (.429) with nine RBI over his last five games. The shortstop had his fingerprints all over this game, which saw him open the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning. He also wrapped up the offense with his eighth-inning homer. For the season, Adames is slashing .246/.330/.430 with 15 homers, 67 RBI, 52 runs scored, 12 stolen bases and 23 doubles across 97 games.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Betts (hand) has started to field softly hit groundballs, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Though Betts hasn't yet been cleared for full baseball activities, taking part in fielding work is an indication that he hasn't experienced any setbacks in his recovery from a fractured left hand. The All-Star was given an estimated 6-to-8-week timeline for a return after sustaining the injury in mid-June, and though he still has a ways to go in his rehab, Betts could be ready to come off the 10-day injured list in early August. Betts has seen the majority of his starts at shortstop this season, though the Dodgers could look to deploy him mainly at second base upon his return. Miguel Rojas has excelled as Betts' primary replacement at shortstop and could be deserving of a full-time role upon Betts' return, while second baseman Gavin Lux entered Sunday's game against the Tigers sporting a lowly .565 OPS on the season.
