  • Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Dealing with wrist injury

Kim was hit by a pitch on his left wrist in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Kim took a 94 mph fastball from Walker Buehler off his left wrist in the bottom of the fourth inning, ultimately exiting the contest the following frame. The infielder underwent X-rays on his arm following the contest that came back negative, according to manager Mike Shildt, which bodes well for Kim moving forward. The 28-year-old can be considered day-to-day for the time being ahead of San Diego's three-game series with the Rockies at home beginning Monday.

  • Masyn Winn SS | STL

    Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Resting Sunday

Winn is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

Winn will head to the bench after he went 4-for-11 with a stolen base while starting in each of the first three games of the series. Brandon Crawford will fill in for Winn at shortstop in the series finale.

  • Tim Anderson 2B | LAA

Marlins' Tim Anderson: Out again Sunday

Anderson (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

He'll be on the bench for a second straight game and remains day-to-day with lower-back tightness. Vidal Brujan will move over from second base to replace Anderson at shortstop.

  • Tristan Gray SS | MIN

Marlins' Tristan Gray: Called up from Triple-A

The Marlins selected Gray's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.

Gray slashed .227/.301/.523 with 10 home runs and 23 RBI over 143 plate appearances prior to getting his first big-league call-up of 2024. He made his MLB debut with the Rays in 2023, going 2-for-5 with a solo home run over two games. He's played all four infield spots in the minors this season for Jacksonville and will likely serve as a utility player for Miami while he's with the big club.

  • Diamondbacks' Blaze Alexander: Back on bench Sunday

Alexander is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

The right-handed-hitting Alexander started each of the past three games, but he appears to be viewed as a short-side platoon player, with two of those three starts coming against left-handed pitching. He'll give way to Kevin Newman at shortstop Sunday while the Orioles bring right-hander Dean Kremer to the hill.

  • Reds' Elly De La Cruz: Swats homer in loss

De La Cruz went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and was hit by a pitch in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Giants.

De La Cruz launched his ninth home run in the fourth inning for the Reds' lone run. He entered Saturday with multiple steals in three straight games. The dynamic infielder has hit safely in three straight and is batting .272 with a .910 OPS over 158 plate appearances.

  • Oneil Cruz SS | PIT

    Pirates' Oneil Cruz: Stays hot

Cruz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored Saturday against the Cubs.

Cruz got off to a slow start to the season, though he's managed multiple hits in four of his last five starts. He's hit .500 in that span with two home runs while collecting six RBI and five runs scored. Importantly, Cruz has greatly cut down on his strikeout rate, as he's punched out multiple times in a game only three times in his last 17 starts and struck out at a respectable 23.8 percent clip in that span.

  • Orlando Arcia SS | MIN

Braves' Orlando Arcia: Swats homer Saturday

Arcia went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a 4-1 win against the Mets on Saturday.

Arcia tagged prized Mets rookie pitcher Christian Scott for a two-run blast in the third inning to give Atlanta an early lead. It was Arcia's second homer over his past three games after we went deep just twice over his first 33 contests of the campaign. The shortstop slugged a career-best 17 long balls last season.

  • Tim Anderson 2B | LAA

Marlins' Tim Anderson: Scratched with back tightness

Anderson was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the Phillies with lower-back tightness, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

Vidal Brujan will shift to shortstop while Otto Lopez enters the lineup at second base.

  • Matt McLain SS | CIN

Reds' Matt McLain: Cleared for throwing

McLain (shoulder) was cleared Friday to throw and run, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

McLain could start swinging a bat in about six weeks, which the infielder said would help determine a clearer timeline to complete his rehab. Both McLain and manager David Bell reaffirmed the goal for McLain to return this season.
