Arcia went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Rockies.

Arcia extended his modest hitting streak to five games with the blast. In that span, he's gone 7-for-18 (.389) with two homers and five RBI. The shortstop continues to provide steady hitting from deep in the order, slashing .280/.336/.447 with 16 long balls, 52 RBI, 55 runs scored, 17 doubles and one stolen base over 111 contests this year.

The Mets will call Mauricio up from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

The 22-year-old infielder is having the best statistical season of his career in Triple-A this year, slashing .295/.349/.511 with 23 homers, 71 RBI and 24 stolen bases. With Francisco Lindor locked in as New York's everyday shortstop, Mauricio will likely take over as the Mets' primary third baseman -- replacing the struggling Mark Vientos -- while making an occasional start at second base or in left field.

Edman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and three stolen bases in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over San Diego.

After swiping three bags earlier in the contest, Edman played the hero in the ninth inning with a two-run, two-out walk-off homer off Josh Hader. The home run was Edman's 12th of the season, leaving him one shy of his career high set in 2022. He had been slumping at the plate coming into Wednesday's contest, going just 4-for-23 (.174) in his previous six games. Overall, Edman's slash line sits at .241/.300/.413with 57 runs scored and 41 RBI across 417 plate appearances, while he improved to 20-for-22 in stolen base attempts on the campaign.

Berti is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

While Joey Wendle was on the bench, Berti started at shortstop against right-handed pitchers in both of the past two games, going 2-for-7 with a pair of base hits. Though the lefty-hitting Wendle is back at shortstop Wednesday against right-hander Zach Eflin, the Marlins could be viewing the position as more a timeshare between Wendle and Berti moving forward rather than a platoon. Berti holds a nearly 350-point edge in OPS over Wendle since the All-Star break (.723 to .382).

Crawford (forearm) is expected to be with the Giants in San Diego this weekend and could come off the injured list then, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Crawford did some hitting without issue Tuesday and will have another hitting session Wednesday. It sounds like he will be activated without going out on a rehab assignment first, and with rosters expanding Friday, he could rejoin the club without a corresponding move. Crawford has been out since mid-August with a left forearm strain.

Turner went 2-for-5 with a triple, a home run and three total RBI in Tuesday's 12-7 win over the Angels.

Turner's current hit streak has now reached double digits after he notched a two-run triple and a solo homer Tuesday. In those 10 games, Turner has posted a slash line of .349/.370/.860 with six home runs, 13 RBI, 12 runs and a stolen base across 46 plate appearances.

Perdomo is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Nick Ahmed will play shortstop and bat eighth versus left-hander Clayton Kershaw after Perdomo logged four straight starts at the position while going 4-for-13 (.308) with two RBI and two runs scored.

Williams isn't in the Pirates' lineup Tuesday against the Royals.

After an 0-for-4 performance during Monday's series opener, Williams will take a seat for Tuesday's contest. Liover Peguero will get the nod at shortstop and bat seventh.

Edman is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Padres.

Edman will grab a day of mental and physical rest after going 0-for-4 with a strikeout in the Cardinals' loss to San Diego on Monday. Nolan Gorman is covering second base and batting third Tuesday as Richie Palacios patrols center field and hits leadoff. Masyn Winn will start at shortstop and bat ninth.

Wendle is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Rays.

Wendle has slashed just .229/.264/.325 with one home run and five stolen bases across 90 games (268 plate appearances) this season for the Marlins. Jon Berti will start at shortstop and bat ninth Tuesday against the Rays and right-hander Aaron Civale.
