Reds' Jose Barrero: Logs steal, scores twice

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Resting against lefty

Crawford is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Crawford will join fellow lefty-hitting lineup regulars Mike Yastrzemski and Joc Pederson on the bench for the series finale while lefty Ranger Suarez toes the rubber for Philadelphia. Thairo Estrada moves over from his usual post at the keystone to replace Crawford as the Giants' shortstop.

  • Jon Berti 3B | CHC

Marlins' Jon Berti: Remains idle with sore hip

Berti (hip) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game in Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Berti's sore right hip will keep him on the bench for the third game in a row, allowing Charles Leblanc to pick up another start in the middle infield. The Marlins are seemingly hopeful that another day out of the lineup coupled with Monday's team off day will be enough time for Berti to move past the injury and rejoin the starting nine for Tuesday's series opener in Philadelphia.

  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Dodgers' Trea Turner: Homers in return to lineup

Turner went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 12-1 victory over the Padres.

Turner received his first day off this season Friday, and he wasted little time making his presence felt upon his return Saturday. The All-Star shortstop gave the Dodgers an early lead against Sean Manaea with a two-run homer in the first inning. Turner is up to 19 long balls on the campaign -- he needs one more to record the second 20-20 season of his career.

The 27-year-old infielder has now homered four times in his last six games and is batting 10-for-25 (.400) with eight extra-base hits during the stretch. The recent binge comes on the heels of a 48-game homerless streak between June 15 and Aug. 14.

Marcano isn't starting Saturday against the Blue Jays, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Retreats to bench

Rojas will sit Saturday against Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas missed a game earlier in the week due to right wrist discomfort but returned Friday, going 0-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts. It's unclear if the issue has gotten worse again or if the Marlins simply don't want to ask him to play on consecutive days while not 100 percent healthy. Joey Wendle will be Saturday's shortstop.

  • Jon Berti 3B | CHC

Marlins' Jon Berti: Still not starting

Berti (hip) isn't in the lineup Saturday against Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
