Perdomo is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta.

Perdomo will get his first day off since June 29, giving way to Kevin Newman at shortstop Tuesday. Perdomo has generated a hit in seven of his last eight games, batting 9-for-31 (.290) with six runs scored during that stretch.

De La Cruz went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, an RBI, two stolen bases and a walk in Monday's win over the Rockies.

De La Cruz walked and stole second in the first inning but was also caught trying to swipe home. He last singled and scored in the fourth before knocking an RBI double during the Reds' four-run eighth inning. The star shortstop broke out of a small five-game slump that saw him go 2-for-17 entering Monday's contest. De La Cruz is now slashing .251/.344/.469 with 38 extra-base hits and 45 steals through 91 games.

Atlanta optioned Williams to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

The super-utility player was called up from Gwinnett on June 25, but he appeared in just five games over his two weeks with the big club, logging seven at-bats in total. Atlanta opted to replace Williams on the 26-man active roster with Eddie Rosario, who could settle into a regular role in the outfield while Michael Harris (hamstring) is on the injured list.

Pirates manager Derek Shelton disclosed that Cruz was removed from Monday's 8-2 win over the Mets in the bottom of the eighth inning due to his hamstring tightening up when he rounded the bases in the sixth inning, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Cruz went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run -- his 14th of the season -- and an additional run scored before exiting the contest. After reaching on a base hit in his final at-bat in the bottom of the sixth, Cruz apparently tweaked his hamstring either while advancing to second on Rowdy Tellez's infield single or while coming around to score on Nick Gonzales' double. Cruz played the next two innings in the field before he was replaced when his next turn in the batting order came up in the eighth, due to what Shelton said was out of an "abundance of caution." Based on Shelton's comments, Cruz might have been dealing with cramping rather than a hamstring strain, but fantasy managers will still want to keep close tabs on the shortstop's status heading into Tuesday's series opener in Milwaukee.

Rojas went 2-for-2 with two doubles, a walk, a run and a stolen base Sunday in a loss to Milwaukee.

Rojas logged two of Los Angeles' three extra-base hits, doubling in each of the fourth and sixth innings. The shortstop is batting .359 with six doubles, four RBI and a stolen base over his past 11 games to boost his season batting average to .291. Rojas has been playing on a near-everyday basis since Mookie Betts went down with a fractured bone in his left wrist June 16. Though Betts could return in late July or early August, Rojas may not lose his spot in the lineup at that point, as manager Dave Roberts stated early this month that he may consider moving Betts to second base in order to ensure Rojas continues to start at shortstop, per Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times.

Cruz went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and an additional run scored in Monday's 8-2 win versus the Mets.

The Pittsburgh shortstop smashed a 431-foot, two-run blast off Christian Scott in the fourth inning to open the game's scoring. It marked Cruz's second homer of July, as he's batting .333 (8-for-24) with four runs scored and five RBI across seven games this month so far. Overall, the 25-year-old is slashing .247/.303/.444 with 40 runs scored and 41 RBI in 330 total plate appearances.

Lindor went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a walk in Sunday's win over the Pirates.

Lindor delivered a clutch hit off Aroldis Chapman with the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth to give his team the win Sunday. Lindor continued his resurgence that has covered the last two months, during which he is hitting .277/.335/.492 with 10 homers, 34 RBI and 12 stolen bases over his last 58 games. After a forgetful April, the four-time All-Star has 22 multi-hit games since the beginning of May, which is tied for the fifth-most in MLB in that span.

Edwards will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the White Sox.

Since being called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Edwards has picked up six straight starts while stepping in as the club's new everyday shortstop in place of Tim Anderson, who was designated for assignment. Edwards has gone 6-for-19 with a double, two walks, three runs and one RBI over his first five starts, and so long as he can keep turning in productive at-bats, he should have a stranglehold on a regular role. The 24-year-old hasn't made an impact on the basepaths yet, but he stole five bags in 119 plate appearances at Triple-A earlier this season and recorded 37 steals between 123 games with Jacksonville and the Marlins in 2023.

Cruz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.

The shortstop was hit by an Edwin Diaz fastball in the ninth inning Saturday, but there's been no indication Cruz sustained a significant injury from being plunked. Even so, the Pirates will give the lefty-hitting Cruz the afternoon off Sunday while southpaw Sean Manaea takes the hill for the Mets. Jared Triolo will check in at shortstop for Cruz, who had started in each of the previous six games while going 8-for-22 with two home runs, one double, three walks, one stolen base, five RBI and three runs.

Kim went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's loss to Arizona.

Kim opened the bottom of the fifth with a leadoff double and eventually advanced to third before being left stranded. However, he came right back with hits in each of his next two trips to the plate, driving home Donovan Solano with a double in the eighth to tie the game at 4-4. It marked Kim's second three-hit performance this season and his 13th multi-hit game overall. The shortstop has now hit safely in 11 of his last 14 games, though he's still batting just .222 (4-for-18) through five games in July.
