  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Three hits against Arizona

Rojas went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

The veteran shortstop had gone just 3-for-33 (.091) over his prior 10 games, due in part to nagging lower-body issues, but a day off Sunday followed by a team off day Monday gave him a chance to heal up and clear his head. Rojas is hitting .258 on the season with zero homers, three steals, eight RBI and 14 runs through 27 contests, and he'll continue to see plenty of action as the leadoff hitter until Jazz Chisholm (hamstring) returns.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Sitting after productive Game 1

Crawford is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Rockies, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Crawford rejoined the lineup for the matinee after missing the past couple games with a calf issue, and he went 2-for-2 with a home run, two walks, two RBI and two runs. Mauricio Dubon will take over at shortstop in the nightcap.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

    Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Starting Tuesday

Rojas (hip) will start Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas missed Sunday's game against the Nationals due to tightness in his hamstring and hip. He's good to go following two days of rest (including Monday's off day) and will be looking to bounce back from a 3-for-33 stretch over his last 10 games.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Cubs' Javier Baez: Out of lineup for Game 2 Tuesday

Baez is not starting the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers.

Baez went 0-for-2 with a walk (just his second of the season) and a run as the Cubs triumphed, 7-1, in the first game of the day. Eric Sogard will take over at shortstop in the nightcap.

  • Trevor Story SS | BOS

Rockies' Trevor Story: Cleared for doubleheader

Story (finger) will start at shortstop and bat second in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Giants, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Story was removed late in the Rockies' last game Sunday against the Astros after being hit by a pitch on his right index finger, but X-rays cleared him of any structural damage. After getting an extra day to recover from the injury when Monday's series opener with the Giants was postponed due to inclement weather, Story looks like he'll be available for both ends of Tuesday's twin bill.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Ready to go for doubleheader

Crawford (calf) will start at shortstop and bat fifth Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader with the Rockies, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Crawford checks back into the lineup after a bruised left calf kept him on the bench for the Giants' final two games of their weekend series with the Padres. With Tommy La Stella (hamstring) joining Mike Yastrzemski (oblique) and Donovan Solano (calf) on the 10-day injured list, Crawford will slot higher in the lineup than he typically does.

  • Paul DeJong SS | DET

Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Extends modest hitting streak

DeJong went 2-for-4 with a double and a run in a win over the Mets on Monday.

DeJong laced his third extra-base hit in as many games Monday -- perhaps a sign that he may be starting to see the ball better after what's been a mostly frustrating start to the season. The slugging shortstop has belted six home runs, which have gone a long way from preventing a total fantasy wipeout; however, his .186/.288/.392 slash has ample room for improvement, although it's slightly on the rise thanks to DeJong's current three-game hitting streak.

  • Tommy Edman 2B | LAD

Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Multiple extra-base hits in win

Edman went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and a run in a win over the Mets on Monday.

The versatile Edman pushed his extra-base-hit tally to nine with Monday's production while generating his fourth multi-hit effort in the last seven games. The 25-year-old is rewarding fantasy managers across the board thus far in 2021, as he now boasts a .341/.386/.463 slash line with three doubles, Monday's triple, two RBI, two walks and six runs across 44 plate appearances in his last 10 games.

  • Trevor Story SS | BOS

    Rockies' Trevor Story: X-rays negative

Story's X-rays on his finger Sunday came back negative, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

Story left Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks in the bottom of the eighth inning after he was hit by a pitch on his right index finger in the top half of the frame. However, early tests showed that the shortstop didn't suffer a fracture, and the team is optimistic about his status. If Story is forced to miss any additional time, Alan Trejo could see increased playing time.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Cubs' Javier Baez: Goes deep in wild loss

Baez went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Reds.

Baez hit one of the five Chicago home runs but it wasn't enough to avoid a wild, 10-inning loss to the Reds. The dynamic shortstop is starting to get going, as he now has hits in eight straight games. Baez has three home runs and 10 RBI during the hitting streak.
