Lawlar pinch hit for Ketel Marte (hip) and went 0-for-1 in Wednesday's 8-7 win over the Giants.

Lawlar finished up the game at second base for Marte, who was removed as a precaution with stiffness in his hip. This was Lawlar's second appearance since his call-up from Triple-A Reno; he served as the starting shortstop Tuesday. Marte is expected to play when the Diamondbacks resume their schedule Friday at home against the Rockies.

Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Angels.

Bogaerts hasn't shown much in the way of power overall in 2025, but he's now smashed three home runs in his last 14 games. Despite batting just .245 during this period, the veteran infielder does have 15 RBI and two stolen bases over his last 49 at-bats. As long as he maintains a spot in the heart of San Diego's batting order, Bogaerts should continue to see plenty of RBI chances going forward.

Abrams went 2-for-3 with a run scored during Wednesday's 5-4 win over Atlanta.

Abrams got on base in four of his five plate appearances, tallying a pair of singles and a pair of walks for his 10th multi-hit performance of the year. The 24-year-old shortstop has been exceptional this season, slashing .311/.375/.525 across 137 plate appearances to go along with five home runs, 18 runs, 15 RBI and eight stolen bases.

Winn went 5-for-8 with a home run, two walks, three RBI and three runs scored as the Cardinals split Wednesday's doubleheader with the Phillies.

Winn did most of his damage in a 4-for-5 performance in the nightcap, which included a solo home run and a pair of RBI singles. The shortstop has hit safely in six of his last seven games, going 10-for-28 (.357) with two homers and seven RBI in that stretch. His big performance Wednesday lifted him to a .281/.371/.465 slash line with five homers, 15 RBI, 23 runs scored and two stolen bases over 33 contests this season. Aside from brief absences for back spasms and an ankle sprain, Winn has unsurprisingly been an everyday presence in the Cardinals' lineup this year.

Trejo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

After starting at shortstop in each of the Rockies' previous four games, Trejo will give way to Kyle Farmer in the series finale in Texas. With Ezequiel Tovar (hip) in the midst of a rehab assignment and on track to return from the injured list as soon as this weekend, Trejo is likely to see his playing time take a significant hit in the near future.

Ortiz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Andruw Monasterio will step in at shortstop while Ortiz takes a seat for the second time in three games, with both absences coming against right-handed pitching. Manager Pat Murphy hasn't confirmed a changing of the guard at shortstop, but it's clear that Ortiz has lost job security after struggling to a .173/.228/.223 slash line through the Brewers' first 43 games of the season.

Abrams went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Atlanta.

The shortstop belted the first pitch he saw from Spencer Schwellenbach over the fence in right-center field, the 10th leadoff homer of Abrams' career. The blast snapped a 19-game power drought for the 24-year-old, but Abrams has mostly been locked in at the plate since returning from a hip injury in late April. Over his last 18 games, he's slashing .351/.415/.514 with eight extra-base hits, four steals, eight RBI and 11 runs.

De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the White Sox.

De La Cruz led off the bottom of the ninth with a solo home run to tie the game. That's now two home runs in the last three games for De La Cruz, who had previously gone 18 straight games without leaving the yard. Tuesday marked just the third time in his last 13 games that De La Cruz did not strike out, as his above-average strikeout tendencies have carried over from prior seasons thus far.

Adames went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, a walk and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 10-6 win over the Diamondbacks.

Adames has three multi-hit efforts over his last nine games, going 10-for-39 (.256) with three homers, four doubles and six RBI in that span. The shortstop has had a lackluster start to his first year with the Giants, though he's batting .270 at home compared to .189 on the road. Overall, he has a .225/.304/.367 slash line, five homers, 21 RBI, 26 runs scored, two stolen bases and nine doubles across 191 plate appearances.

Adames went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Adames lined a double into left field during the fifth inning before coming around to score the Giants' lone run. The 29-year-old shortstop has struggled in his last five games, batting .190 with a 1:10 BB:K across 22 plate appearances during that span. Adames is now slashing .218/.296/.339 with 24 runs scored, 19 RBI, eight doubles and four home runs across 186 plate appearances this season.
